I came across Christine's work on Instagram and loved her easy, candid style, so we set up a session. Typically, I hate having my photo taken. What I was initially pleasantly surprised about was Christine's ability to immediately create a good rapport with us. She's so friendly and kind, and we immediately felt as though we'd been friends for a long time. What sets Christine apart from other couple/family photographers is her ability to direct us... I'm terrified of posing for photos, and Christine didn't have us pose at all! She had us running, moving, laughing, jumping, and staggering in the most active photo session I've ever experienced... She made sure to stay in contact with us. She also visited the venue herself the day before to get a feel for the ceremony location as well as the reception hall. She is truly gifted at what she does and it shows in her photos. From booking, paying and choosing photos, she makes the process completely easy to do. Long story short, my wedding which was suppose to take place in Mammoth was cancelled due to covid-19.. my fiancé and I were devastated and with less than 2 weeks had to figure something out. I made the best decision booking Christine for our wedding on March 1,2020. She was so organized and on top of everything the day of my wedding I did not have to worry about anything. The morning of my wedding it was raining and she called and told me she was going to figure everything out before she got there as to where we would take pictures if our original plan was not able to happen. During the shoot she had so much patience between multiple diaper changes, my fiancé getting peed on and trying to get my daughter sleep during a photo so she would be easier to work with. I have done 2 photoshoots with Christine. One was about 5 years ago and the other was just recently. Both times she did not disappoint. I have watched her first hand develop into the most amazing photographer. Christine was a hero in our time of need!! I am an OC bride who like MANY others, had their wedding affected by COVID-19. We found out two weeks before our wedding date that our location, Mammoth Mountain, was shutting down. It took us a while to cope and come up with another plan because we were DETERMINED to get married on our date, rather than just completely give up or cancel. We decided three days out to go on with our ceremony in a local park with just ourselves, our officiant & one witness. We knew we wanted a photographer present but of course our primary concern was finding someone who was willing to bear the outdoors during this crisis. I contacted Christine late Tuesday night hoping for a quick response since we were short on time. I woke up first thing Wednesday morning and found a joyful and willing response from her. We corresponded over the next few hours, getting to know each other a bit, discussing pricing and what kind of photography package we were looking for. She graciously offered to go scope out the location for us, however we were already planning to do so later in the evening. With only a couple hours notice, Christine met us at our ceremony location and even offered to bring her camera for a mini shoot-at no charge. She was extremely professional and friendly, my husband and I instantly felt comfortable with her and truly enjoyed our first "wedding photo experience." She gave us our images within a couple hours and we were so impressed! Between then and Friday, Christine kept in touch with us, providing ideas and supplies. She had a florist offer flowers and she surprised us the day of with a second shooter- all at no cost. The day of our wedding, she arrived early and picked out the most gorgeous spot, with perfect lighting. Christine and Melanie (second shooter) made us all feel so comfortable and were just snapping away the entire time. She made sure to get all the shots we wanted and more. Again, we had photos to enjoy that night and they were so beautiful. She remains in contact with us even a week later to make sure we are happy with everything. If I wanted a photo in B&W she graciously edited and added it to our album immediately. Christine was pleasure to work with. She was not pushy or demanding of payment, she did not command the photo opportunities in a way that would solely benefit her, she was ALWAYS concerned with what we wanted and what we were comfortable with.
