My wife and I had been going to open house for a few months before decided we needed to pick a real estate agent and work with him/her to find a house. Most of the real estate agents we met at the open houses did not seem genuine. There were a few that we liked, but ultimately we decided to look on yelp and found Christine. We made the initial contact with her and could not have been more satisfied with how everything turned out. We met with Christine, really liked her personality, and trusted all of the reviews on yelp. We narrowed a search area down, along with house size, etc. After two months of looking and going to numerous houses with Christine, we found a place. We signed the purchase agreement, went through the inspection, and then had a change of heart. We realized the place was a little too big for us and not in the right area. Calling Christine and telling her the house wasn't going to work out was one of the hardest phone calls we had to make. Much to our delight, she offered very encouraging words to us and reassured us that she wanted to continue to work with us to find a house that fit us. She was very compassionate and understanding. She worked with us to change our search and we were back looking at house within the week. When we finally did settle on a house, Christine was on top of everything. There were other offers that were higher, but the seller ended up going with us because Christine did her best to show how we were motivated, strong buyers. I found Christine through Yelp, and based on her excellent reviews, I decided to meet with her to see if we were a good fit. I felt comfortable with her right away, and on our first meeting she set up her program to email me with listings that met my criteria. I liked that we were able to communicate through the program and write notes and respond to each other on specific listings! Christine was always available when I needed her or had any questions, and she worked with my schedule when I wanted to view any of the listings which interested me. I doubt this is the case, but I felt like her only client because she was so available and responsive to my needs! I ended up purchasing a condo through Christine and came upon quite a few problems during the home inspection. She helped me determine what to ask for in the list of repairs (here especially is where I appreciated her experience!) and when the seller wasn't able to complete the repairs on time, Christine made sure that funds were held in escrow until everything was determined to be fixed either by the seller or the HOA even past the closing date. I'm so happy we chose Christine to be our Realtor with our home purchase in Huntington Beach. The market is really tough for buyers and it gets completely hectic with every property seemingly having multiple offers over asking. Christine kept our spirits up throughout and not only did she put us in a position to beat out other offers, but she did it in a way that didn't have us overextending ourselves. Buying a house can be very stressful, Christine made the process as easy as possible. She understood exactly what we wanted and how much we had to work with. Don't let her kind demeanor fool you though, when it comes to dealing with other agents she is a self proclaimed "hockey mom" and she gets things done, fast! We had been looking with Christine for a couple of month, but just could not find the right size for the right price. It was 8PM on a Wed night and Christine actually came to my front door and said," There is a house 1 block from the beach for sale well within your price range, it just went up on the MLS 20 min ago". We put in an offer before midnight and got a call the next day to walk through the house and sign papers. Please keep in mind this conversation took place after 9pm and by 11pm I received an email from Trevor requesting more information and a meet and greet date/time to get my search criteria going.
