The building manager Michael is extremely helpful whenever you need and is always available. The supers are also extremely helpful and will fix anything at any time. They keep the apartment common areas clean and tidy and are constantly taking the trash and recycle out. The elevator and hallways have all been renovated in the last three years and are modern and sleek looking. I would most definitely rent an apartment in this building again in the future! If i wasn't moving out of the state we would have stayed indefinitely!

He said & I quote " that I was 1 of 3 whose application would be reviewed". I made every effort to put a lengthy applic together, get the check from my bank & find a FedEx & even paid top $ to get it there in 1 business day. Things happen & of coarse FedEx messed up, they actually arrived, but for some reason? would not leave the envelope. As Tim said, "No one was there & everyone was out showing apts! So they didn't leave it & FedEx was late. Tim contacted me informing me after only a day & a half, they were choosing someone else. I responded "couldn't you at least have waited until 5pm? With all the effort I made to get him all my paperwork, his attitude was so void of understanding, and even used the term, "people like you" I think some people lack compassion, common decency & respect for others. All he talked about was how out of his way he went for me rather than acknowledge that he actually failed to keep his word & make some attempt to "review my application" like he said he would! But all he was interested in? Was his commission & scoring the tenant. Next time Tim, try to address people by their actual name. Don't ever think your so high & mighty that you can address someone as "you people" I'm a 60 year old disabled Woman. Show a little respect when you speak to human beings. If the people who employed you knew how you spoke to & treated people? I don't think they would like it one bit. The way you speak to people is your reputation. When we moved out, he claimed that we left the apartment a mess (we did not and took plenty of timestamped photographic evidence). He sent us emails berating us saying "you know what you did" and refusing to give us our security deposit back. Even upon adding a lawyer to the exchange he was still berating us, "you can add whoever you want and I won't respond." After coming up with a plan of legal action going to small claims court he immediately paid us the money we were owed. I'm happy to share this email exchange with anyone that messages me. Also our building was overrun with mice and there was very minimal effort to resolve this

The renovation for the empty units will inevitably mean you'll hear pounding and drilling from 9-5 while you're quarantined and working from home. It'll drive you nuts and they expect to be in this state until late spring/early summer 2021. Also, if they haven't told you that the rent stabilization is ending in mid-2021 you should raise the issue. Management is very responsive when you're inquiring to rent, but RIGHT AFTER you sign the dotted line they disappear. We were told about a welcome kit with internet, keys, etc. None of that materialized. The front desk wasn't notified we were moving in, and we weren't even sure we had any keys until we arrived to the lobby. Having said that, the staff are amazing and once the capital improvements are done it's going to be an amazing place to live. Just avoid for now until all the construction is done.

The laundry room is large and you never have to wait for a machine. The Terrible: (1) Management is subpar in my humble opinion. After living in the building for 3 years, my husband and I asked for a lease extension of less than one month. We were told that the landlord doesn't allow lease extensions - ever. The explanation doesn't make sense to either one of us. Our lease expires at the end of July, and our only option for an "extension" was to sign a new lease that we'd be allowed to terminate at a predetermined date starting February 28th of the following year. I've lived in many other buildings in Manhattan and have never had any problem with building management. I expect more humanity and understanding. I experienced another issue in which a building manager behaved, in my opinion, not like a normal decent human being would behave. (2) The elevators are terrible in our opinion. There are three elevators but one is constantly broken. The wait time gets really bad. My husband and I live on the top floor so it's especially bad for us. I wouldn't choose to live here for this reason alone.

They changed the boiler system in my building a couple of years ago, ever since then the heating is…read morenot consistent. I message and complain and they treat me as if I am crazy, that there is nothing wrong with the system, that the apt. is the righ temperature as required by law. Yet they have no explanation how the heaters never go off for 12 hours at a time in 30 or 40 degree weather. Day after day it happens. Followed by a few days of constant heat when it is warmer outside. And then when the temperature dips again, no heat for 12 hours straight or more. They used to be a good management company, but are obviously trying to cut corners. The super doesn't seem to be allowed to raise the temperature or turn the boilers on without permission. so we sit here in a freezing apt. which magically is just the right temperature when they come and check with a stupid tricked out thermometer. I am at my wits ends.
