When I was the one reading these reviews , I felt so hopeless. Our 3mo baby was having 30 minute cat naps, was waking every 2hrs during the night, relying on nursing and a soother to sleep (which wasn't even working), and I'd even resorted to co-sleeping in the morning just to get a few extra hours for myself (which I swore I would never do). He was tired and miserable during the day, and I had no clue how to fix it. I was trying to do it myself using instagram and google, and nothing was working... any information I found was so overwhelming and confusing. Even when my husband finally came around to investing in a sleep consultant, the next battle was "omg but where do I find someone and how do I choose between them!". Even worse, I'd read that 4mos was the earliest sleep training starts, and I honestly couldn't take it one more night.
A friend recommended Christine, and the reviews I read did not lie. The days were going to pass anyways, so we were very eager to commit and get working towards better sleep. We decided to do the 2-week program, and I am so so grateful. After literally the first night, we saw A HUGE IMPROVEMENT! Our baby was having way better naps where I was even having to wake him up, and only woke ONCE during the first night. From there, it only got better.
By the end of the 2 weeks:
- NIGHTTIME: Our baby is falling asleep 100% independently for all of his sleeps. He is falling asleep within 5-15 minutes every time he is put down, and often waking without any tears. He's dropped ALL of his night feeds, and is sleeping a pretty solid 12 hours overnight (unless woken up by a dirty diaper!).
- NAPS: His naps are AMAZING. His wake windows have extended, he dropped nap 5 AND nap 4. He is often getting at least 4.5 hours of total daytime sleep and we are even having to WAKE HIM from all of his naps.
- On top of that, he is eating like a champion, taking the bottle each night, and is pacifier-free!
We are SO grateful to Christine. Even before starting to work with her 1-on-1, her coursework gave us a solid understanding of sleep and a CLEAR game plan for the 2 weeks. Seemingly overnight, I went from exhausted, bickering with my husband thanks to sleep deprivation, and having a tired little baby, to all of a sudden having a predictable routine, a happy & rested baby, and my own anxiety/mood significantly improved. My husband and I are now getting 8 hours minimum (more if we decide to not stay up late catching up on all the TV shows we missed).
Christine was such a joy to work with... kind, understanding and supportive. As a first time mom with no idea what I'm doing, just hearing Christine say that I did a good job or my thinking was right was so uplifting.
