Dr Alonso showed no compassion and berated me for not consenting to purchase a new CPAP machine from him. He kept telling me he could contact the police and tell them that I should have my driver licence taken away. Everytime I tried to ask a question about why his CPAP machines were $2500.00 as compare to other places for the same machine being a fraction of the price he turned the question around that if I didn't buy the machine he would report me to the police and have my licence taken away. I did purchase a new CPAP today for $899.00 and contacted a different Sleep clinic to take me on as a client. Stay away from this place. They do not care about their clients. You are only a cash cow. I don't do well with medication, not my fault that I was born into this sensitive body but being dismissed as helpless because I can't take meds was disappointing. I found the doctor to be somewhat arrogant and very dismissive if you don't take meds, even though I've tried a few med over the past few years that reacted horribly with me. This place is a medication station and nothing more, no testing and not magical sleep program...just meds. My doctor can do the same thing.

But, when my Doctor suggested trying a Cpap machine again I resisted. My last machine was finicky and the mask made me feel like Darth Vader. However, a sleep test that showed I was literally stopping breathing many times per hour had me reconsider. Enter Sleep Therapeutics and Bushra, one of the nicest human's I have ever met. Bushra used a cool app to measure the planes of my face and fit me with a small nose piece that was surprisingly comfortable. The machine she introduced me to was comprehensive and even had a heated tube for my chronically dry nose. Over the last +2 years my Government insurance has had Bushra and I jumping through a series of Draconian hoops to get my machine covered and she has patiently submitted paperwork and followed up with me, caring for my needs without complaint. Bushra is someone who truly cares. Her assistant Whitney is very kind and a great communicator as well. The personal interest and competency Bushra displays is something rare. I honestly recommend Sleep Therapeutics to everyone I can think of. I absolutely love my sleep machine. It makes such a huge difference to my life. Usually you don't wait that long. I'm sure it's long because of this supposedly new quicker system. lol Sent in image of requisition which is required before you book. (Had to borrow someone else's phone because I do not have a cell phone to begin with. They want it texted.) Anyways, the first day after waiting too long I thought I'd phone the next day. They don't have in the system the form I sent the day before. What a waste of time. Had to redo it all over again. Borrow a phone. Then it was 15 minutes of questions on the phone. Usually what the technician asks when you go for a mammogram. Did anyone in your family ever had breast cancer etc. etc. I wouldn't be surprised if they ask the same questions over again when I go. I don't feel like going through this ordeal every single time I need to book an appt. I think I'm going to try another company next time. The process was so slow.
