They showed up with masks and worked with our crazy schedule of wanting to get things done. They were professional and helpful every step of the way. My realtor had recommended us to Geoff and they have been nothing short of AMAZING. They gave us a quote with competitive price, was timely in getting the work complete and our refinished floors honestly looked brand new. We were shocked how great they looked. Post completion of the project, Geoff made an extra stop to my home and provided us felt stickers for my furniture so it didn't scratch my floors and a spray mop to clean so I can maintain the floors. He even took off his shoes when entering in as we are a no shoes household. Shortly after my uncle was doing some work in the house so we had cardboard down so we didn't damage the freshly done floors. When lifting that cardboard back up, we noticed a small knick in the hardwood. It was like a chip or hole of some sort. Trying to cover it up, I realized it was bothering me way too much. I called franks tree service on May 3rd for a tree trimming and pruning and spoke to Julien. Julien…read moreis nice enough on the phone. He told me that his guys were going to be in my neighborhood on the 4th and could stop by around 1pm to trim the tree. They never showed up and by late afternoon Julien informed me that they couldn't make it and that they would have to come by the next day. On the 5th it was raining so Julien again informed me in the afternoon on the 6th that they would come trim the tree at 8am on the 7th. They never showed up and it wasn't until late in the afternoon that Julien called me and said his guys would be by on the 8th. Then on the 8th it rained and Julien wanted to reschedule for the following Monday. I said it was fine and that the safety of his crew was definitely the main priority. He then proceeded to tell me that it was in his best interest to get the guys to get the work done because he doesn't receive his commission unless they do. Ah ha! and there it was, the reason I kept getting jerked around with when I was going to get my tree trimmed, and why I was only notified late in the day after I was able to call any other tree company to come out and take care of the tree. It was due to Julien's commission! On Monday May 10th Julien let me know that they would be coming by to trim the tree. They showed up at 4:50 pm and told me that they had to clear the work with the boss, because he doesn't like them working past 5pm, and that they just did four full removals today and that they didn't have enough time to do this job. So I asked him why it was that Julien would schedule so much in a day (obvious commissions aside). He told me that Julien was just a sales guy and didn't realize how much work it actually takes to remove a full tree. So he makes promises to the clients and then overbooks the actual workers. So this guy tells me that him and his guys are going to work for 45 minutes, then clean up and finish the job tomorrow, which I agreed to (I mean what other choice did I have at this point?). But they pulled their truck into my driveway (parked it on top of my wife's beloved flowers) then did nothing for twenty minutes before leaving. When I told Julien that they parked on our flowers he said that it was a good thing that they grow back. They came back the next day and pulled their truck right back into the same spot on top of the flowers. When I pointed out that they didn't seem too concerned about the driveway being too tight because they pulled in the same way, Julien got offended saying "how am I supposed to get to the tree?" and that it's not their fault the driveway is very tight. Well it's also not my job to figure out how your guys should use their equipment to do their job and not damage my property. When I came home from work after they had trimmed my tree and left, I noticed that they had moved all of my outdoor furniture and made zero effort to put it back from where they moved it. This was an absolutely awful experience and I don't plan to use this company ever again, and I urge everyone else to overlook them as well. The only reason they got a second star is because they did an okay job trimming the tree.

Since the…read more80's I have always dealt with Kuiken, primarily at the Emerson or Fair Lawn branches for building materials. PRICES ARE EQUAL TO OR BETTER THAN THE BIG BOX STORES. I recently dealt with Tom Kennedy at the Fair Lawn branch for purchasing Trex deck materials. My deck contractor's usual source for Trex was out of stock for two months or more. Tom was able to secure the necessary materials in less than a week. Delivery with their truck was on time and efficient. Communicating with Tom either in person,phone or email was always without any hassle. I highly recommend Kuiken.Very few businesses have this type of professionalism any more
