He left us high and dry! Our situation is somewhat unique. After getting married in a civil ceremony a couple of years ago, we are getting re-married in a simple religious Church ceremony. We wanted a photographer there to capture pictures of us and our children. As a result, we only needed a photographer for about an hour on a Saturday afternoon. I contacted Christopher via email on September 20 and explained our situation, and he said he was available for our October 20 date. Christopher sent us his contract via email. After that, I tried to contact him several times to follow up both via email and phone. I left several voicemail messages in the ensuing weeks, but he never returned any of the phone calls. Plus, time was running out to find someone new. Our wedding is in less than a week and Christopher is MIA. We can't find a replacement. Horrible! Thanks a lot Christopher! Maybe some day you will get around to reading these reviews and realize how badly you dropped the ball and let us down. If you couldn't do the job you set out to do, then you should have notified us ASAP so that we could make alternative arrangements. read more

Luckily, I stumbled upon Christopher's photos on the JuneBug Wedding Blog while researching Chicago photographers. We love his style - bold and bright colors with our beautiful city as the background. He captures candid photos as well as comfortable posed shots. My fiancé and I couldn't be happier with our engagement pictures that were taken by Christopher last summer. He is so friendly and easy-going, we really enjoyed working with him and he made us feel completely comfortable during our session. He had great ideas for locations and he also went along with a couple of ours. They all turned out great. We actually had our engagement party the same night so we asked that Christopher photograph the event as well. We are getting married overseas so most of the guests at the party wouldn't be attending the actual wedding. Fact: Good things CAN come from hiring people from Craigslist! Christopher is a perfect example. When tasked with trying to find a talented wedding photographer in Chicago that was reasonably priced, I was overwhelmed. There are literally hundreds of photographers in the Chicago land area and most are extremely expensive. I found Christopher by chance on craigslist and immediately fell in love with his photo-journalistic style. After emailing back and forth a bit, my fiancé and I decided to hire Chris--and to this day we still talk about this being the BEST decision we made in our wedding planning process. I only spoke with Chris briefly about what we wanted in our engagement pictures and let him dictate the rest. The results were some amazing engagement pictures!! Chris was flexible about our engagement session, allowing us to shoot some pictures with our dog, to change outfits during the shoot, and even trying to get some infamous shots with a sparkler. Chris's super-sweet wife was present during the engagement pictures and she worked as a talented and helpful assistant. The atmosphere was relaxed, fun, and we felt more like we were hanging out with friends than having our pictures taken by a talented professional. Fast forward to our wedding a year later--Chris was instrumental in our wedding day success. I shared with him the plan for the day and discussed locations for pictures, and let him take care of the rest. Chris is extremely creative and has an eye for good shots, and most importantly he does not need any direction or micro-management. He was never in the way, but always seemed to be there when we needed him and captured all the most important moments of our wedding day. Besides taking stunning pictures, Chris helped the groomsmen with a ring fiasco, attaching boutonnieres, and although I probably shouldn't share, he bustled my dress far better than my wedding coordinator ever could! : ) The outcome was some of the most stunning wedding photographs I've ever seen and exactly what we wanted. Chris is extremely fast at editing pictures, we received edited pictures online within 2 weeks of our wedding and a pretty USB a few weeks after that. (I might add that photography is not Chris's full-time job). So, my fiance and I were trying to figure out who on EARTH to use for our engagement photo session here in Chicago before we have out destination wedding in Cabo. We came across Christopher's photos on Pinterest and FELL IN LOVE!!! He has such a great style and we really wanted to have a variety of locations and daytime shots as well as night. We also really wanted to showcase the city since Chicago is such a big part of us and our home, but we will be getting married away. From the moment I contacted Christopher, I knew it would be a great fit. He was very responsive and timely with emails, and made us feel at ease right away. During our session, he was very friendly and laid-back. He gave us direction, but didn't make us feel all "posey-posey". We had a great time and couldn't wait to see how they turned out. We booked Christopher to do our wedding and I felt he was WELL worth the money! Of course, he took great shots, which you would hope from a wedding photographer. It was a nice mix of staged and candid photos. But his value goes well beyond the pictures he takes. We had the pleasure of also using Christopher for our engagement shoot. He's a real joy to hang out with and is full of jokes while still remaining very professional. His knowledge of the city and great places to shoot in it is extensive. Being that we got married on a Saturday in June and took pictures in the city, there were many people around, including several other bridal parties. Christopher lead our party and navigated us in a way to optimize the short amount of time we had while still respecting the many other people out and about. Christopher F shot my wedding on 5/30/15 and we had the photos back in way less than a month... AMAZING! On the actual wedding day, Christopher showed up right on time and was always where he needed to be - usually without anyone really noticing he was there. He captured so many special moments from our day and was so awesome to work with. He comes HIGHLY recommended by me! One suggestion for other brides and grooms is to take the time to fill out the sheet he provides you so that he knows about any unique moments not to miss. We are so disappointed with Chris and his lack of professionalism, communication and follow through. Not only did he cancel our original appointment, but he did not return a single email or voice message when we tried to reschedule. We were so excited to work with him based on his high ratings on Yelp but found him to be completely unreliable and a complete flake. We were totally understanding of canceling our original session and tried numerous times to reschedule and he refused to ever acknowledge us. Now we are in a total bind to a find a new photographer for our engagement photos. Planning a wedding is stressful enough and engagement photos should be nothing but exciting to plan. We cannot stress enough how disappointed and frustrated we are by Chris and his complete and utter lack of professionalism. The response from Chris below is not accurate. We were originally scheduled with him on Sunday October 9th and he canceled on us for a family weekend event which we were totally fine with but he never confirmed our new appointment which I tried to do on 9/15 (email), 9/19 (email), 9/22 (email) 9/23 (email), 9/26 (voice message), 9/27 (email and voice message), and today 9/28 cancelling him. read more

We used Christopher for both our engagement and wedding photos and absolutely loved them! Christopher was so easy to work with and always made us feel very comfortable. We loved how passionate he was throughout the sessions and the great ideas he had for shots, while also letting us get creative with different things and mixing it up. Overall both experiences were great! The photos themselves are absolutely beautiful. We took our engagement photos downtown in October 2013 and they are spectacular. All of our family/friends continually comment on how neat the night shots are with the lights of the city in the background (he is SO great at these!). As for the wedding photos- AMAZING! Our first look photos were taken in Oak Brook (where our reception was) last month and I was absolutely blown away by how beautiful they turned out! Christopher took our wedding photos in July. He was awesome- super professional, on time, and just a generally friendly face the whole day of the wedding. The photos were exactly what we wanted, but more than that, he was just a great presence at the wedding. Too often (and we went to so many weddings this summer so we were able to compare) the photographer is a bit abrasive or pushy. They don't seem to fit in at the wedding or reception and people are uncomfortable and posed in the photos. Christopher was the exact opposite! My parents and brother in law raved about what a nice guy he was and how great the picture taking process went. Totally worth every cent (and quite a bit more!). Christopher did an AMAZING job as our wedding photographer! When we met with him, he made us feel so comfortable and his passion for photography really showed. Christopher was so helpful in helping us plan our wedding day itself - he told us the order than things usually flow best in and helped us plan the timing of our day. His prices are totally reasonable, and the quality of his work is fantastic. On our wedding day, he was so fun to work with - he is friendly, open, excited, and just a normal dude who you'd want to have a beer with. He helped both me and my husband calm down as we got ready separately, and he even gave my husband a hand with getting dressed (i.e., figuring out how to use studs on his tuxedo shirt). After our ceremony, we left while our guests had a cocktail hour and took our couples photos - and OH. MY. GOD. He did them SO fast and we got SO many amazing shots! We seriously could frame every single picture that he gave us. During the ceremony and the reception, he completely blended into the background (which isn't easy to do at a 30 person wedding!) - no one noticed him, but he captured every special moment. He got us our pictures in 2 weeks, which is completely unheard of in the wedding photography world (it probably helped that our wedding was during the late fall, not a very popular time to have a wedding) and we love them. We loved working with Christopher throughout the whole process! We had so many comments on how amazing our engagement pictures looked! On our wedding day, he captured the most important moments from getting ready and had the perfect locations to do our bridal party pictures. He was also easygoing and lighthearted made everyone feel comfortable.
