Bride's Thoughts: Our experience with Eric O'Connor was more than we could have hoped for. From the first moment that I actually met Eric (when my fiancé proposed) I knew I was in good hands. He exudes compassion, understanding and knowledge. This is important to a bride! He took our proposal, engagement and wedding pictures...and we've been so happy with them all. Eric is dependable, organized and SO personable. Our wedding party, particularly the girls, raved about how Eric handled things. I must have thought that Eric's ways were the norm, but I was informed from my closest and most trusted friends that Eric was extraordinary and even was told "I wish I had a photographer like him." As a bride, you want to be sure you are in trusted hands. He carried the train of my dress many times, gave my girls tips on how to stand to look their best, joked with us and made us all at ease. Not to mention he cleans up nice, and cares about his appearance on the day that you REALLY care about yours! Luckily, my husband and I live near Eric because he came over to our home to go through our pictures and put together our wedding album. However, I'd have to assume he'd have done this even if we lived far away, that is just the kind of guy he is. We settled on our pictures, just received our album and we are smitten with it! As are our parents, who got miniature albums, too. :) Groom's Thoughts: My personal experience with Eric was a little different. I knew Eric prior to hiring him as our photographer. But I knew from the start of working with him on the proposal pictures he was a good match for my fiancé (now wife). Organized, professional, and very perceptive of his client's needs. He takes the time to explain how best to take shots in a professional way, but always truly listens to what you want. Watching how calm my wife was during all of the photography was amazing and I owe much of that to Eric's demeanor with her. He put her at ease by helping and directing her at the right times. Additionally, he was extremely helpful with anything we needed outside of just photography - helping my wife bustle her dress, giving bridesmaids pointers on how to help, keeping us on time, etc. Additionally, for me it means a lot when you team up with the right people to create an amazing experience. While Eric was focused on my extremely beautiful wife (aka hottest girl in the world), he teamed up with another photographer who was perfect for working with me and the rest of the groomsmen. Funny, relaxed yet still organized and on-point, Robb was more than I would have expected. He made our day easy, and more importantly got the right/best pictures. With that said, Eric deserves the utmost compliments. I would definitely recommend him for your wedding, or any event! Eric is a true artist! He shot our wedding in Casper, WY and captured all the beauty of our church, the mountains and of course the people in the pictures. I actually used two shots (one of my bouquet with all its vibrant colors and another of my husband and I dancing our first dance as a married couple) as wall art in our home. Gorgeous and I get sooo many compliments on both of the canvases. Its been three years since our wedding over Thanksgiving week 2008 and my brother is now wanting to get him scheduled for a wedding in 2013! I can't even begin to explain how great it was to work with Eric. We recently used him to shoot our wedding and it was a pleasure to work with him. Per our package we had two photographers, Eric and one of his assistants. Since we do not reside in Chicago anymore, we were not able to have our engagement pictures taken by Eric despite them being included in our package. Eric was more than accommodating and was able to tack on additional shooting time the day of our wedding to balance this out. On the day of the event Eric was prompt, professional and overall a joy to work with. Since he had shot at our reception space before, he knew of all of the great places to snag photos. From day one, Eric of Allori was outstanding to deal with. His work speaks for itself and his work ethic on the day of our wedding was fantastic. Our wedding was in Milwaukee, WI and although Allori is based in IL, Eric went out of his way to find unbelievable spots throughout Milwaukee for our wedding party pictures. He captured the feel of the city and did an amazing job understanding what my wife and I were hoping for in our pics. Hiring Eric as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made! Eric did both our engagement and wedding photos and we were stunned by the results. He truly is an artist. Looking at our photos is a four-dimensional experience; they have allowed us to relive our wedding day so many times. Eric captured the beauty of the ceremony, the emotions of our families, and the sheer joy and fun on the dancefloor. Not only is Eric an extraordinary photographer, he is a ton of fun and so easy to work with! I don't think I'm a photogenic person and I normally dread having my picture taken, but Eric put me at ease and one of my favorite parts of the day was having our pictures taken. Eric told me exactly what to do/how to stand to get the best angles, even in candid pictures. Eric had shot a friend's wedding a few years ago and I always loved her album so when it was my turn to get married I knew I wanted to hire Eric. Eric O'Connor of Allori Photography was by far our best wedding vendor. Eric was referred to us by a friend who had raved about him and her wedding photos. As my husband has a photography interest, it was challenging to find a photographer who used the professional level equipment he specified and demonstrated the knowledge level he wanted, but Eric passed the test with flying colors. We got to know Eric before the wedding during our two engagement shoots, and knew that he would capture our wedding in the way we desired, since those photos were excellent. He also created a beautiful photo album to use as a guest book at our wedding which we will treasure. On the day of our wedding, Eric and his second shooter were prompt, professional, and easy for our wedding party and guests to get along with. He captured all of the moments that we had discussed in advance and also shot candids that turned out very well. We received the photos to review within days after the wedding and Eric took the extra time to work closely with us on the wedding album layout. The album turned out better than we could have imagined and is of exceptional quality, by far the nicest we have seen. Our only regret is that now that we have received our wedding album, it might be a while until we have the opportunity to work with Eric again. BOOK ALLORI PHOTOGRAPHY NOW! I honestly can not stress this enough. My husband and I chose Eric after our first meeting for our e-pics and our wedding (7/13/13). My husband hates having his picture taken and was not at all looking forward to doing so. He was less than eager the morning of our engagement pictures. After some terrible weather (think monsoon) on our original date, Eric quickly worked around his schedule to fit us in the very next weekend. We had a break in our schedule because of another booking he had. We started our pictures at Lincoln Park Zoo, went home to change and then met back up for an evening session. During our break my then-fiance said multiple times how much fun he was having. While I would like to take the credit for this, I know it was because of Eric. He doesn't make you sit and pose awkwardly for long stretches of time, and yet the images he captures are perfect. He is so professional, and yet laid back so you always feel at ease. We had so many compliments on our engagement session! When it came to the wedding day, he was never intrusive. He got everything done without getting in the way of the fun we were having! My parents could not stop singing his praises. His efficiency is unbeatable. We have a small window of time to take pictures at the church after the ceremony, and he fit in every picture we requested with time to spare. My wedding party could not believe how relaxed they felt around him, and it definitely showed in our images. Unlike many photographers who have pictures up in 5-6 weeks; all of our images from our wedding (and there were ALOT!) were up in 4 days... yes DAYS. They are absolutely gorgeous. It is never a bad thing when its hard to decide which pictures are your favorite because so many of them are so awesome! His attention to the details really shines through and it makes all the hard work you put in worthwhile. I absolutely love some of the candid moments that were captured as well as the more traditional wedding photos. We chose a picture location that Eric has said he had never photographed at before, but from the shots we got, you would never know it! I cant wait to continue working with him in the process of creating our album, which he already put together his suggestions for. I honestly will recommend Eric to everyone I know, I already have. Whats more, is that, if the time should ever come, for us to have children, he will be my first call for all of those important moments and memories in our lives. Eric is a phenomenal photographer. He has endless energy, kindness and enthusiasm (watch him climb on rocks to get a good angle or run through mud to get a good action shot!). Eric did both our engagement and wedding pictures. For the wedding, he put our bridal party and families at ease with his professionalism, never ending smile. Everyone LOVED him. He took the most beautiful pictures that exceeded our expectations. Guests and friends keep commenting on how stunning our pictures are! Eric is an expert of good light, cool Chicago spots and getting exactly that kind of pictures you want. He masterfully captures the important moments, whether they are elements of surprise, a tender minute between newlyweds, or the crazy excitement of the crowd. Eric is best decision my husband and I made for our wedding. He worked with us from surprising me and getting the propsal on camera, to taking our engagement pictures and shooting our wedding. and now we have literally hundreds of the most amazing pictures. Eric became a friend and a part of our family and it has made the pictures even more meaningful. He encouraged me to share my ideas and thoughts and what i wanted for our pictures and he worked hard until he knew I was going to be happy with the outcomes. LOVELOVELOVE! The previous reviews could not be more accurate. Eric is the best of the best! I didn't do much photographer research and booked Allori based on a friend's recommendation as she LOVED having them at her wedding. That was all I needed, and it was the best decision. Our engagement photos turned out awesome, and it was a great way to get to know Eric. He was so easy going and had great suggestions about where to take photos. He's the expert after all. When it came time for the Wedding day, he was right on time and looking sharp! :) My family and wedding party adored him. He was quick and efficient while taking pictures... not to mention we got to see them after just a week! The weather was weirdly chilly for the end of July and he picked super awesome places to take pics based on the sweet clouds. Our out-of-town videographer loved working with him, too. I absolutely loved working with Eric O'Connor from Allori Photography. I am SO SO happy we booked him for our wedding day. Our pictures are BEAUTIFUL and the way Eric made us feel so ease on our wedding day was really amazing. My husband and I are not big picture takers because we dont have much patience for posing, but Eric made it not only easy, but actually really fun and enjoyable. He seemed so laid back and relaxed, which made me feel really laid back and relaxed (which is so important). Yet he was working SO HARD. When I got my pictures back, I couldn't believe how amazing they were, how many great shots he got, and how every shot seemed to be perfect. I think he could sense how nervous I was...and his whole attitude really calmed my nerves. My entire family really clicked with Eric. We all felt like he just made us feel really comfortable in front of the camera. We could be ourselves and our genuine happiness really showed in the photos. I'll actually miss working with Eric.
