It is a shame that I was treated the way I was by this realtor…read more I was a member of a business networking group in Los Angeles called BNI and wanted help looking into investing in the Las Vegas market, so I figured it would make sense to reach out to a member of another such networking group in Las Vegas, since there is a kind of brotherhood/sisterhood where the motto is "givers gain". I figured (naively) that I could trust a member of such a group given our "association". Last month I reached out to Joe DiRaffaele of DG Realty and spoke with him about my plans and what I wanted to do. He was very accommodating and pleasant on the phone. After our conversation we concluded that I will need to get pre-approved for a loan in order to move forward, and he gave me the names of 2 finance brokers. I reached out to the 2 brokers and shared with them all of my financial information, tax returns etc. for review. After at least 10 days of waiting to hear back from either lender I reached out to them a few times for an update and got no response. I then reached out to Joe DiRaffaele and he too ghosted me. My experience with Joe DiRaffaele and DG Realty has been disappointing to say the least. I would not recommend working with these people on account of their poor service and lack of communication skills.

Buying our first home was definitely a journey, and in order to be able to clearly articulate how amazing Rob was throughout the whole experience I would like to provide specific examples so that this review is helpful to anyone searching for a trustworthy, intelligent, and subject matter expert in this field! We contacted Rob early in 2018 to begin our journey of searching for a home. Knowing that we were first time homebuyers he thoroughly explained everything we needed to know i.e. seeking out mortgage lenders, different first time home buyer programs, the market, etc. He gave us good recommendations for different mortgage lenders and prepped us with the type of questions we should ask. This was really helpful for us as the mortgage lenders were impressed on how prepared we were, and we wouldn't have been without the guidance of Rob. Our search took many months due to us shopping in a seller's market, and even though there were times we got discouraged, Rob was always: optimistic, patient, and eager to help us to fulfill our dream of owning a home. He always made himself available and had a high sense of urgency with anything we needed. He was available on weekends, evenings, and responded to our texts/emails/phone calls promptly. He would create itineraries for us and scheduled them in way so that we could always maximize our time. Even if we only were interested in seeing one house across town he would make himself available to do so. There were times were we were close to making offers, and something he did which was extremely helpful was to provide us with extensive research about the property/community so that we could make informed decisions. Rob makes it a point to stay current in this field which greatly worked to our advantage, as we we're able to leverage a new program that came about when we were searching for a home. He had a great partnership with our mortgage lender which was evident as there was never a communication breakdown and we were always up to date with pertinent information. When it finally came down to go into escrow, Rob provided us a detailed checklist so that we would never miss a deadline! This was very helpful as it can be an overwhelming process. Rob made sure to give me a heads up of documents that were coming my way and provided me with a full understanding of what I was signing. He also ensured that he was present during our Home Inspection and any other pertinent visits to the home we were buying. When we ultimately moved into our home, Rob surprised us with us a beautiful gift to celebrate this important milestone in our lives. Robert came highly recommended by a good friend of mine while we were searching for a property to…read morerent. Working with Robert was a great experience because he was profession from the start. He asked us what we were looking for and limitation we had. We were on a strict budget and he was able to keep us within that budget. He sent us a few listings and would update us daily if anything had changed. He made time to show the listings when was convenient for us and was very accommodating because my partner and I had very conflicting schedules. After seeing the houses, we final chose a great place within budget and perfect location. There was one problem, they would not allow pets, and we have two small dogs. Luckily Robert was able to talk them into considering our pets and fortunately they said yes. The next step was applying for the house which I always thought was the hardest part. But Robert gave us a list of items to prepare and sent us the application right away and we were done within an hour and he took care of the rest. The next morning he turned in the application packet and within 3 hours we got the call that we were approved for the house. Robert kept us informed, was accommodating , made the process smooth, and worked hard to get us into a great place even with our heavy limitations. For this, I would highly recommend him when looking for a house.
