She apologized for the poor communication, which I appreciate--though I'm not sure why the administrative assistant (whose role I assume is to communicate/schedule on behalf of the accountant) is less communicative than the accountant herself? They are very responsive when trying to get your business, but as soon as you pay they disappear off the face of the earth. I have no idea what the status of my tax return is, nor whether the proper returns were even filed. One of the state tax departments reached out to me asking me to pay more and Dimov tax will not even confirm whether they filed that return, nor advise me on what should be done. The "administrative assistant" assigned to my case has not responded to my emails for a week, and when I try to call her it instantly gets sent to voicemail. I'm not sure what kind of people get 5-star treatment here, but it's certainly not everyone. In the past, we've also tried to schedule calls due to difficulty communicating and getting answers over emails, but the staff made it extremely difficult to do so, asked for what our questions were over email, and then gave non-answers to the questions and cancelled the meeting saying that the questions were already answered. I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt that it was peak tax season when we reached out and hence we had difficulty reaching them, but the pattern is very clear: when they want payment, they will respond; after payment is given, service drops to almost zero. I would highly advise you to stay away from this business.

His secretary kept signal that his next client is waiting. Then Duc realized he didn't renew his NYS tax license . He told me to pay my fee and he will finish my tax and call me in a couple of days. A week later I called his office because I didn't hear from him. I asked to speak with him and to my surprise instead of asking for reasons for my call the receptionist asked whether I pay my fee! I was taken aback by this response. I told her I did and she said I should message him via HR block message site. Then another few days later I finally got a message from Duc telling me he just finished my tax and that I owe him $75 for working on it. Seriously? I paid my fee in full even though he didn't finish my tax due to his own fault and I have to pay for it? I asked for his manage's name And number. He gave me a first name but said he can't give me the number. Never will I go back to HR block.

How do I upload 10 different docs in a minute???? 2. We presented a receipt from Best Buy because when we paid for recycling a monitor, they told us it's taxable. Immediately he saw, he laughed at us and said "why you bother showing this? " I told him we were told by Best Buy, so I'm showing this to you. He thought Best Buy paid fee (not sure what he meant), so it doesn't make sense. Once he understood we paid the recycling fee, he said, " oh you paid? " and he said but doesn't matter. I said to him, we are not tac experts so we are asking you questions. But he ignored. He didn't even bother asking any questions or listening to us. The entire time he was rushing g through the process so I don't have confidence he did it right. He was extremely rude and somehow he thought it's ok to look down us asking tax questions. What a jerk. We will never go back there again and don't recommend the particular office

He made one for the following day at 1:00pm. The day of we arrived 15 minutes earlier and checked in. One hour passed by before my husband asked about our place in line. They told him there were other people who have appointments and that he'll be called shortly. Another hour went by and I followed-up about our place in line. This time she COULD NOT find our paperwork. We saw her scramble in the back and ask other co-workers. Once she returned she said we were 3rd in line. When we were finally seen-- we were the 4th in line to be called and two people who checked in after us for their 1:15pm and 1:30pm appointments were called BEFORE us. WE WAITED A TOTAL OF 3 HOURS WITH AN APPOINTMENT. We were really upset by this point. Reception had a lack of organization and abysmal management of customer walk-in and appointments. I strongly recommend that this is something that needs to be reviewed and improved upon. Other than that I would recommend their services- that's if you can get past reception.

And they have been able to help me with some specific topics - confidently clearing the Opening Equity Balance that was generated when I initially sync'ed the bank account, guiding on duplicate Credit Card accounts, understand reconciliations, etc. Even if you know how to do accounting, they are a great sounding board to give you more confidence. If you don't know anything about accounting, I'm sure they can help you get the books done. And, unlike Intuit support, you have more of an ongoing relationship with them.

In an odd sort of way, it turned out my first choice wasn't my best choice!…read more I came across the listing and thought "OK - it's a little corny name, 'Those Tech Guys'" but honestly, if you hang around tech guys at all, you get it. I am far from a professional when it comes to IT installations, but I know enough to be dangerous. And after getting quotes to install ethernet in my 1980s circa home, one never wired for ethernet, one that just went through a significant renovation where I, in my supreme wisdom said "WiFi is great, now! Who need hardwires anymore?" was now faced with retrofitting several rooms and office with ethernet and said, this guy over here, the independent with a normal sounding company name, yeah - lets go with him! Mistake!! After schedule, and reschedule, and delays, and reschedule, we got nowhere with contractor number one. Meanwhile, Roberto and Peter at Those Tech Guys had patiently followed up several times, continued to be pleasant and professional, and AFTER I said no thank you I am going to go with someone else! So I made the dreaded call back - "So remember when I said if things change . . . " Peter was quick to jump on the phone, and walk me through things at every step. Gave me a highly competitive bid, and an install time of only a few days from when I called. They cam onsite, were clean courteous, and efficient. They played with my dog (I mean who doesn't love a bowling ball Staffy Bull Terrier mix?) and made light work of the install, and the final cost (with tip!) was even below the initial quote. This was made possible as Peter walked my home and together we found opportunities to do things more quickly, and save a few dollars along the way. In the end, I didn't choose Those Tech Guys first, but you should. No regrets here, other than I should have picked them first!

Ltd.Prod. is equally strong in both turning and milling, and just as willing to do a proto-type, as a 1000-pc run. They're equally experienced with stainless, aluminum and plastic and have mfg'd all of the above for me over 5-6 years. They quote their work and honor they're quotes. After answering their questions I was told I wasn't a "fit" for them. Given the fact that I was looking for some pretty complicated S-Corp tax and transition issues (which I expected to pay for), the only reason I could have been rejected was (i) I didn't list enough income, or (ii) the computer automatically rejected it as too complex (?) Hmmmh, not feeling warm and fuzzy about the whole "relationship" vibe they promote. UPDATE: Wow, super fast response to initial review (1/2 hr, maybe). Wish I could do 3.5, or better yet, 4 (if they had actually reached out instead of offering to help via Yelp). Sorry, need to agree to disagree. There weren't that many online questions, and one would hope the purpose was to match you with the right person. But 2 of the few questions were how much my company and I personally made per year. If the firm interests you, I would recommend you call them - not use the online gatekeeper. Other reviewers are certainly positive about their interpersonal skills. I'm was just turned off by the cold "sorry no" at this point.

He made one for the following day at 1:00pm. The day of we arrived 15 minutes earlier and checked in. One hour passed by before my husband asked about our place in line. They told him there were other people who have appointments and that he'll be called shortly. Another hour went by and I followed-up about our place in line. This time she COULD NOT find our paperwork. We saw her scramble in the back and ask other co-workers. Once she returned she said we were 3rd in line. When we were finally seen-- we were the 4th in line to be called and two people who checked in after us for their 1:15pm and 1:30pm appointments were called BEFORE us. WE WAITED A TOTAL OF 3 HOURS WITH AN APPOINTMENT. We were really upset by this point. Reception had a lack of organization and abysmal management of customer walk-in and appointments. I strongly recommend that this is something that needs to be reviewed and improved upon. Other than that I would recommend their services- that's if you can get past reception.
