After reading Sumeet's Yelp reviews, I had such high hopes. Unfortunately, she has trouble responding to prospective clients. My fiancé called and left a voicemail message, which she did not respond to. He called the next day, and she answered and said that she thought she had returned all of her calls. She told him that the best way to reach her was via email. So he conferred with me about scheduling an appointment with her, and then sent her an email. Here we are four days later, and nothing. I provided 1 star for being able to reach Sumeet herself. But deducted 4 stars based on her rudeness and tone. I was looking for a CPA who could not only file for us but also help us with tax planning and explain to us what they did in our returns. Specifically, I was looking for someone who could walk us through and explain in detail as part of our services, and she was not that person. First off, she cut me off multiple times as I tried to ask her for a ballpark price. She didn't even let me finish my sentence on overall what the shape of our tax return should be, even going ahead and lecturing me that there was no way she can ballpark the general cost of my work (without letting me finish my sentence) and tha personal returns start at something in the mid 400's range BTW, this was what I was going to ask her, what her general fees for personal W2 returns were for a joint couple, 2 rental properties, and a C corp business filing. But when I finally squeezed it out, she cut me off and lectured me on how it's like a mechanic and she can't give an answer without seeing the car. All the while starting each sentence with a very aggressive "Mam-". I don't have information on how good her work is, but the call with her was very aggressive, she didn't listen, and seemed far from someone who would make taxes feel better and clearer. Heck H&R Block and Turbotax had much more respectful and kinder attitude then her. read more

Amazing Sumeet came into our life in 2015. We walked into her office owing nearly $20k, due to capital gains. With her help and guidance that year, we ended up finding enough deductions to owe nothing and instead get a $700 refund! She walked us through every step. We were also dealing with an audit due to a mistake on a previous year's taxes involving some rental income. I knew nothing beyond basic Turbo Tax prep, but with Sumeet's guidance we got through both the audit and capital gains situation. She even looked over our past few tax years and amended them to get us more money! When it came time to pay her, we were shocked at how little she charged for her services. We would have gladly payed much more for how much she helped us. In addition to this, Sumeet did a lot of research into my husband's unique job situation and advised us on all the work related expenses he could be claiming. She truly went above and beyond for us. Not sure why a reviewer commented that there was a lack of communication and a rudeness about this company, but I can say quite the opposite and I am sorry that there was a bad experience. This team was awesome!! Thomas was warm and inviting from the get go. Sumeet was very good with her communication, honesty and I felt very comfortable. She was very thorough and really took the time to check things over and over to make sure we were getting the most credits and breaks that we could. Thanks to her, we went from what we thought was going to be a 223 refund to a 1500 refund. I should also note the cost was very reasonable. I was having some Turbo Tax issues last year, so in a pinch went to a chain place (H and R). The gent was lovely, but at the end, I received a surprise when I got the bill. I phoned and explained this to Sumeet and shared by concerns and she asked me to bring it in and she would give me a quote. It was way less than last year and no nickle and dime for this form or that form or the direct deposit. After years of DIY taxes, I am now a believer that it is worth the time and cost to see a CPA and if you are looking for a great one, Sumeet Bedi is the one for you. If I could give this company a 0, that's what I would do. I could write the very long explanation of why, but that would take more of my time and energy than this company merits. Let me just say that my experience is they are unprofessional, they treat their customers poorly, they have a constant turnover of receptionists, they don't return calls, and they care very little about keeping their customers. Sumeet lacks communication skills and lacks professionalism in how she handles customers. It doesn't surprise me though since the owner - Thomas - is himself rude and unprofessional. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. read more
