Unprofessional dentis with poor work. Went to this dentist to have a tooth removed. Mr. Wigley was charged me for a tooth removal and left a large piece of root in my mouth. I complained about excessive bleeding and the front office lady Toni dismissed it and said it will stop and told me to use more gauze. I went back in 3 weeks later for a cleaning, They noticed a protrusion from my gum and began poking. Root of the tooth never pulled and still remaining. Mr. Wigley says we will take care of it in 3-4 mos once you have healed and we have you back in here for additional work (When it was convenient for him). I began asking questions and Mr. Wigley did not like someone asking questions about his work. He began trying to upsell expensive plans to redo my entire mouth - NOT what I came in for. When I declined and told him he should listen to what I want and not sell me on what he wants to dom He became angry and started berrating me and speaking down to me. I got up from his chair and told the dentist who had lost his temper and began aggressively telling me that I needed to do what he was advising that we were done. The office ladies were embarrassed and awkward after the moment. I then received a letter from an office person at the doctor about 2 weeks later stating that the root left in my mouth needed to be extracted immediately and could cause severe issues and neede to be fixed within 30 days - CERTIFIED MAIL - all because I had stated I would look into an attorney since Mr, WIgley did not do his job and remove a tooth as he was paid to do. I called the office and when I would not answer Toni the office lady about whether I would alllow them to correct their work, she became aggressive and when I asked for her to refund me she hung up on me. Do your research and you will find numerous stories of Mr. Wigley berrating patients and speaking down to them and insulting them when they don't consider Wigley's expensive and over the top fixes. Wigley is a questionable dentist and not a sales man which is why he gets mad when you don't buy off on his elaborate, expensive and excessive fixes. Once you decline him he gets angry, becomes aggressive and then insults you and dismisses you. The office personnel was nice until you ask for a refund or until you do not let them correct their mistake. This is a highly questionable dentist, who insults people. He does very shoddy work and is incompetent. Read the reviews and you will see this guy really should not be practicing any longer, read more

My husband and I moved to FL 10 years ago. I have to admit that I am quite nervous when it comes to the dentist. Luckily we didn't live that far from Dr. Wigley's office so decided to try them. We made the right decision. We have never had a problem with the staff (they were all very professional and knowledgeable) and never had a problem with Dr. Wigley. He was always very gentle with me as well as being kind. We were never over charged for anything. Because we are moving ,we pray that we will be able to find another dental office as great as they were. read more

I went for an extraction. I was only told that the X-ray and consultation would be $60.00. I was prepped by the tech and she asked me to sign off on a disclosure statement regarding consequences and cautions. I refused because none of it was explained. I was then notified that the procedure would be $380 for a simple extraction. Dr. Wigley came in and briefly went over the disclosure statement. I mentioned that the price was high for a simple extraction. I was told by him that he cannot keep his practice running if he charges any less. it would have been nice to have known this price initially. I asked the billing clerk if the charge could be divided into two payments. I was informed,"No, because we do not want to come chasing after you for payment!" My wife had a front cap fall out and we had a family function to attend within a few days so we went to JBD. After explaining the urgency to have a temporary cap installed they wanted to do an unnecessary full mouth xray. My wife ask them to Xray the tooth with the missing cap only which didn't seem to make them happy. The dentist Wigley came in looked at my wife's teeth and said it would cost $30,000 to take care of All of her teeth and could do nothing with the missing cap. Wigley treated my wife horribly she was upset already his insensitivity and tooth shaming made it worse. To be clear she doesn't have bad teeth at all followed up with another dentist and had a temporary then permanent cap installed and no additional recommendations for work. I went there because I was in town and my implant crowns came out . I paid for an office visit and X-rays and then he charged me $320 to glue my teeth back in . They fell out 1/2 hour later and I called and rush back before they closed because they were not going to be open the next day . It was glued back again and about 2 hours later it came out again. I had to wait for the weekend to go to another dentist to get it glued that worked immediately. I called this office to refund the glue amount but they refused saying I was told that my teeth shove replaced and there is nothing wrong with my teeth they were done only 2 years ago . They just needed to be glued in with stuff that works . I called back today before writing this to see if they would give me credit but they still refused. So I would stay far away from this office because it looks like they only want to make new teeth and charges outrageous amounts of money. read more

I had a painful experience with two different hygienists at my dentist in Stuart, after which I looked for a better alternative. I thought I had found that at Dr. Wigley's practice. The hygienist listened to the aftermath of my previous two cleanings, assured me she was "not like that", then proceeded to cut into my gums in two different places. They also took unnecessary X-rays (I had current X-rays, which I had forwarded prior to my visit), after which I was told I had a cavity that needed filling. At the next appointment, for the filling, I was prepped for the procedure. Then Dr. Wigley came in, sat down, said a couple of very quiet things to his assistant (nothing to me), began the filling procedure, then said there were two cavity areas on the tooth that needed filling. While he was drilling and doing whatever else, he kept applying vice-like pressure on my lower gum area and chin. I attempted to communicate how excruciatingly painful it was, but he just kept pressing harder. When he was finished, he abruptly stood up and walked out, again with not a word to me. On the way home, my tongue explored the new filling area and found a whole ridge of excess filling material bonded along the edge of the tooth! That was several months ago, and I still have not been able to get all of the excess removed. It took over four weeks for the pain to subside inside my lower lip and on my chin. His questionable technique also changed the alignment of the tooth he filled, as well as the alignment of two other teeth that are not near each other nor the tooth he filled. I will never visit this dental practice again, nor would I ever recommend Dr. Wigley to anyone. I believe he's extremely fortunate that I've resisted suing him. read more

I feel tricked by the office. It was never mentioned to me, as a new patient, that the office is a Premier Dental practice, so I had to pay over $75 for xrays and cleaning. If I had known, I might have chosen a different practice. When I mentioned this at checkout time, there was no justification or offer to resolve the case in any way.
