She was responsive to my calls and we set up a training date. During the call to set up the training, she made clear she uses positive reward training, which is what we wanted. We don't believe in yelling at the dog or shocking her and freaking her out. We had the training at my sister in laws, because that's where the problem happens, and also so my SIL could get in on how to fix the problem. Wendy was gentle, funny, pleasant, and most of all, knew her stuff. She put together a plan that we can follow, and sent a written report to my email, with all the steps, so we can remember what we are supposed to do. She spent almost 2 hours with us, longer than we expected. She's also a lot of fun and that makes the experience much more enjoyable for the dog and humans. I recommend Wendy if your dog has a problem behavior that needs some work. Some of it is training the human, and Wendy's good natured approach goes a long way in accomplishing that, and some of it is training the dog, and she knows how to give the tools to do that. BratPak does not rush dogs into crowded yards but takes more time to evaluate to ensure a good fit for your dog and the dogs already there.

I called my vet as soon as i got home! My vet suggested I call this particular behavioral trainer she knew and so I did. (It wasn't Jayne). This behavioral trainer told me I should return my dog to breeder. I should never fall asleep with this breed on my bed (Pomeranians) as they could bite my face off. She continued to tell me all these horrible stories abt poms. I was so confused and upset when I hung up. My husband insisted I get another opinion. I found Jayne's info online the next day and called her. She came over same day because she knew how upset I was and she wanted to meet my fur baby. Needless to say, she is amazing! Camp bow-wow was our lifesaver in June when we went overseas for 3…read moreweeks and needed a place to keep our very anxious Chihuahua-terrier mix (Happy) safe and healthy. Happy came from a shelter and was terribly afraid of new people and new dogs, and I was quite worried she might starve herself once she was separated from us and left in a new place. We signed up for two daily enrichment sessions and took her to Bow-wow several times before dropping her off for the full 3-week stay. The camp counselors told us that she did mostly starve for the first 3 days, but by day 4 she started cleaning her plate at every meal (we asked them to feed her breakfast, lunch, and dinner, to make sure she didn't go too long without food). And by day 5 we could see her on the webcam jumping onto the play structure, wagging her tail and barking happily at the other dogs in the teacup room (the room for small dogs). She was queen of the pack! (Well, that's what she seemed to think) And it's all because Amy, Daniel, Nazareth, and the whole team at Bowwow gave her such exceptionally good care every day. We loved being able to check on her via webcam every morning from overseas, and the daily email reports we got on her enrichment sessions (which always had pics and videos of her) gave us huge comfort during our vacation. We can't say enough good things about Camp Bowwow and the exceptionally skilled and compassionate team of counselors there. Thank you, Camp Bow-wow!

They didn't really have any suggestions to help with that. Also, the classes are outside in a warehouse with an open garage door, so it was freezing. I had to dress my dog in a sweater, and I could barely stand to be on the cement floor for the duration. But here's the thing: my dog is a Maltese. Like all Maltese, he is barky, a bit whiney, and a very picky eater. Small dogs are often not food motivated. They had no idea how to deal with that. They would continually ask us to leave because we were a disruption. We literally got kicked out of every class! It was a dog training class, and he wasn't well behaved enough for it? I mean, they knew he was a Maltese when we signed up and paid the hefty price. If what you train is Labs then fine, say so and don't take my money. This is probably a great place to go if you have a lab or a big, food motivated dog, but if you have a small dog then don't waste your time and money. Look elsewhere.

NARRATIVE: I can only write this review about my interactions with Jack, since he has been the only person I've had direct contact with. Jack is a true professional (aka: Dog Whisperer). My first visit with him with my pup was an indoctrination meeting. Basically, I sat and Jack watched how my dog dealt new surroundings and some unexpected, never had my seen before items. During the hour interaction with both my dog and I, Jack asked questions and gave me tips on how I can start getting my pup to reach the goals I expect and wish her to perform. Jack is patient. Attentive and like myself, gruff. I like that! SCENE: K9 Development is located in rural Tracy, off of Hansen Road, behind the Safeway distribution warehouse. The road getting to Jack and Amy's is a compacted gravel road with speed bumps along the way. The maximum speed limit is 10 miles per hour. No rooster tails unless you wish to find out what I mean when I say Jack can be gruff. RECOMMENDATION(S): Like I stated, I can only speak for my interactions with Jack which thus far have been fantastic. I have talked to other dog owners who have taken their dogs to see Amy for training. Those conversations were all of phrase too. We celebrated my daughters birthday here and my daughter came out saying that this was the best…read morebirthday party that she's had. All of her friends, 10 of them also had a great time so much that one of them had to get a pet the immediate next day. This was quite clean and meticulously kept up. The host was so gracious and kept the kids entertained and engaged and also took care of the animals quite well. They did not rush us out of the party and let us take our time last the 2 hour mark. I plan to come back to bring my daughter for the Calico crew events. Highly highly recommend this.
