Well mannered doggo out and about in Half Moon Bay. Showing of his skills he was trained.

I gave K9 development a five if there was a 100 I would do the same. I can't begin to rave about this place. They transformed my dog Majer into a well-mannered boy. We love the place so much and everyone there that our second doberman will be attending board and train in a couple of months. I love this place so much that I pay the extra money for them to be boarded and/or daycare because I trust them and the doggies love it there. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

AWARENESS: I learned about K9 Development a few years ago when my daughter brought her dog here to have Jack help with service animal training. Fast forward to today. I'm here to see Jack, who will be helping me to train my new puppy to help combat my on going PTSD issues. NARRATIVE: I can only write this review about my interactions with Jack, since he has been the only person I've had direct contact with. Jack is a true professional (aka: Dog Whisperer). My first visit with him with my pup was an indoctrination meeting. Basically, I sat and Jack watched how my dog dealt new surroundings and some unexpected, never had my seen before items. During the hour interaction with both my dog and I, Jack asked questions and gave me tips on how I can start getting my pup to reach the goals I expect and wish her to perform. Jack is patient. Attentive and like myself, gruff. I like that! SCENE: K9 Development is located in rural Tracy, off of Hansen Road, behind the Safeway distribution warehouse. The road getting to Jack and Amy's is a compacted gravel road with speed bumps along the way. The maximum speed limit is 10 miles per hour. No rooster tails unless you wish to find out what I mean when I say Jack can be gruff. RECOMMENDATION(S): Like I stated, I can only speak for my interactions with Jack which thus far have been fantastic. I have talked to other dog owners who have taken their dogs to see Amy for training. Those conversations were all of phrase too. If you're in need of dog training, boarding or supplies, go see the folks at K9 Development. I'd recommend it.

Cobra!
Sean L.

This is a long overdue review for an outstanding business. Our wild but loving dog cobra was running off and not listening to us. All dog owners want a dog that has consistent recall. Cobra had been to another facility on several occasions, but we didn't feel like we got the customer service we deserved and the training was not showing. I found K9 development, and instantly felt a difference from the first phone call. They are very responsiveness and it seems they genuinely care about your dog and your individual goals. They definitely are not the cheapest when it comes to board and train, but you get what you pay for here. When we picked cobra up after a two week board and train, he was able to go off leash. They didn't even promise off leash in two weeks but he was a different dog. His life is better and so is ours! Thank you K9 development!!!

Khan loves K9 Development in Tracy!

Awhile back my wife was searching for a suitable and capable training facility for our Australian Kelpie, Khan! He is a 3 year old rescue from the Tracy Animal Shelter. Kelpie's are naturally very active. They love to play and jump! But Khan spent some time on the streets before he was rescued and it was obvious early on he had some behavior issues and would need training. We found K9 Development in Tracy, CA. Their facility and staff is truly AMAZING!!! They embraced the opportunity to help train Khan and thus far have done an INCREDIBLE job!!! We enrolled him in private lessons at first, and then joined a group training class. I honestly didn't think he would come this far in this short a period of time. It's nothing short of a miracle in my opinion. We are following through with everything we have learned at home and he is responding. Amy is the head trainer/part owner and she ROCKS! Khan loves seeing her and she loves working with Khan. We do not hesitate to give K9 Development a 5-star rating. Thank you all so much!

This seems like a bit of a repetitive review…read more The good: Very clean. Very nice. Great hours and availability. The docs seem to know what's going on. They have a lot of staff on hand and specific prescription food. Their response for prescriptions to send out to Chewy is also very fast. The bad: Most of the time I call and they answer and ask me to hold (unless it' an emergency). I hold and hold ... and HOLD. In fact I have held sometimes over 20 minutes and nobody every comes back to help me. Just because it's not an emergency and I am willing to hold that does not mean FOREVER! After you help your customer in line then it's my turn please. Oh also, you had better have a LOT of money because this place will not start with the basic things. They immediately head right to the easiest way to make as much money as possible. Cat got a wheeze and lost a couple pounds? Let's run bloodwork for $650. That all came back fine? Oh ok, then let's do an Xray for $650. All clear there? Doc basically refuses anything else but an exam of the GI for $750. We pass on the GI test and the breathing get's worse. Call back and now they want to start the process over again with chest Xrays for another $650. How about starting out small and do some steroids or an antibiotic first? I guess that's not going to make them enough money. Imagine going into a doctor and saying you have a fever and a cough and they immediately send you in for Xrays and bloodwork and CT scans and an MRI just for the hell of it. Hey Jules ... Not everyone has a money tree in the back yard.

Amazing service. Friendly staff. I requested a new patient appointment and was seen within a couple…read moredays. The facility is clean. The doctors were informative and helpful with everything. So far so good with no complaints. They have an online pharmacy so you can order all your meds and treatment online and have it shipped to you.
