Giving glowing reviews to doctors is always something I view as a double-edged sword. I always wonder---Will they have time for me when I need them, after telling so many people about my experience??? But at the same time, I only visit him a few times a year and I can't personally fund his payroll and expenses with the little business I give him. Alas, he deserves a review afterall. I have seen Dr. Schneider for several years. I also saw his daughter when she was part of his practice. I've always had a great experience with his staff (and the doctors themselves) and continue to return because of them. It's important to note that I am a terrible patient. I absolutely hate dental visits. I hate the noises, the smells, the tastes and the fear of POSSIBLE pain (since everyone knows that extreme pain always flares up on weekends!) I am an anxiety-riddled person the minute I sit in the chair until I leave. He and his staff handle me well. I had a same-day crown a few years ago from Dr. Schneider and honestly it's the best fitting crown I've ever had. I appreciate that he's gentle in his work (not all dentists are!) and conservative with his recommendations of treatment. He may recommend redoing old dental work, but there's a reason for it. And he tells you why, repeatedly. His practice is so busy he doesn't need to create reasons for you to spend your money. I appreciate his staff is forthcoming with fees you will pay before work is done. Insurance in general (ESPECIALLY Dental insurance) is tricky. Their upfront conversations allow you to plan and make choices. Also, Dr. Schneider has a sunny disposition. He sees people in pain every day, and still manages to be friendly to all of his patients. I have been going to Dr. Schneider for over twenty years now and can't say enough good things about him as a dentist and just as an overall person. He is knowledgeable, personable, and always in a great mood. I have 100% trust in his work and opinion whenever I have come in for any type of procedure (standard cleaning, cavities, wisdom teeth, InvisAlign). My family has been going to this dentist all my life. The story goes that a dentist wanted my mom to get gum surgery, but my parents decided to get a second opinion. They found Dr. Schneider. Rather than spend a lot of money (and cause a lot of pain!) with surgery, Dr. Schneider suggested my mom floss regularly. This made surgery unnecessary. Moral of the story: Dr. Schneider has the patients' interest in mind. In my experience, I've never had to sit very long in the waiting area. It saddens me to write this incident because my entire family (6 people) have been going to Dr Schneider successfully and happily since 2012 but unfortunately today was the last day! We will all be going to a dentist that not only does good work but also RESPECTS! He always tries to get everyone to get wisdom teeth removed and other pricey procedures on optional non bothersome dental issues. And we just say no thanks. Take the quotes and again say thanks but not interested. But wow guess no boundaries because if you have toddlers please do your research! Dr Schneider adviced my daughter in law to get 2 minor cavities filled on my 4 year old grandson. These are his baby teeth and none of us felt this was immediately necessary, are there other options? Would he have to be put under? We've heard of toddlers being put under to fill baby teeth cavities only to never wake up! I asked my son and daughter in law to consider taking him to the appointment but further discuss this research (below). I accompanied my daughter in law as both her and my grandson had appointments, initially they called my grandson in and his mother said she wanted to go first to be with him when it was his turn and also let him see the drilling was not going to hurt her. About 5 minutes after she was taken, I was in the waiting room with my grandson, Dr Schneider came out completely ignored me didn't say good afternoon or even look at me. He went straight to my 4 year old grandson and took him by the hand to the back. I assumed his mother had asked for him and was left just thinking how rude it was that the dentist didn't even acknowledge me. About 3 minutes later I hear my grandson crying and I am thinking his mother was going to see if the cavities were able to be monitored since they aren't bothering him and we could wait since baby teeth fall out, she had questions why is my grandson crying? I got up and walked over there to find Dr Schneider and an assistant over my grandson with their tools in hand inside my grandson's mouth! I loudly asked my daughter in law who was still getting work done in another room if she knew they had her son back here if she had given permission and she came running saying NO! I told Dr Schneider off! How can they be so deceitful about taking a 4 year old alone when he knows that on ALL previous visits for check ups this little boy has always had his mother or grandmother with him. If we didn't leave him alone for regular check ups why would we leave him alone for something more serious! I am disgusted because I am now convinced that his ignoring me was purposeful so I didn't ask questions while he already had every intention of getting to work on a 4 year olds mouth! ..."Some 40 per cent of five-year-olds have tooth decay and at least one in ten is treated with fillings. My husband introduced me to Dr. Schneider about 6 years ago. We have had nothing but great experiences with him. We have since moved about 30 miles away and tried going to an office near our home-- what a mistake. We drive the hour it takes to get there and its worth it. He listens to your concerns-- expl- I hate the polishing part so he does it quick and painless--- per my anxiety over it. I have TMJ and he is going to a confrence this Dec so he sugg i come back in Jan when he has updated info on the best way to treat my condition-- NOT just goingt into some long drawn out expensive treatment right away. Dr. Schneider seems like a good dentist but I am really concerned about the number of times he touched me during an appointment. He touched and rested his hand on my shoulder at least 15 times during the appointment and also laid his hand on top of my head. Very weird and creepy. If the dental assistant had not been in and out of the room I would have gotten up and left the appointment. I basically just wanted to get the appointment over and get out of there. I'm still trying to decide if I should back to him and just be upfront and tell him to stop touching me or just not go back at all and look for another dentist. If there are any other of Dr. Schneider's patients who have had the same experience please do a review. I'm not sure what his purpose or reasoning is behind all the touching but if he is doing this with all his female patients then I'm sure I'm not the only one who is uncomfortable visiting his office. Maybe if female patients stop returning as clients he'll get the message and stop this creepy and inappropriate behavior. read more

I have been going to Dr. Schneider for about a year and have had a positive experience. It can be difficult to get an appointment for the time you want, but that's typical for many dentists. He uses a small camera to view your teeth which is far more comfortable than the traditional methods of holding a patients mouth open and trying to see in (its also kind of neat to see your teeth on tv!). read more

I had my first appointment at Streamwood Smiles Dental Care with Dr. Caitlin Wehrle. It was a great experience. This dental office has state-of-the art dental equipment so the exam was thorough and complete. Dr. Wehrle is very competent and explains every step of the exam. I've never had a better cleaning than the one I got today. Two thumbs up from me. I am definitely going back to Streamwood Smiles for all my future appointments. Have been going to Dr. Schneider for about 5 years now. As a kid I had a truly frightening dentist; I used to dread dental appointments, but no more. Everyone on staff, without exception, is pleasant & professional, the atmosphere is always relaxed, the space feels very clean and I never have to wait long. State-of-the-art equipment in use. I always feel like I'm in good hands there. Dr. Schneider is gentle and thorough. He really listens to any concerns, but doesn't push to do unnecessary procedures. Haven't been to the dentist in 6 years because of a bad experience. Unfortunately I cracked a tooth and could not put it off any longer.
