Today is October 12, 2020 and I just completed my post-op on my eight trigger finger release surgery. At the same time I also had carpal tunnel surgery on the same hand. I am sure that my case might be most unusual indeed. However, these multiple surgeries allow me to make a qualified evaluation of my experience with Dr. Minkin. If possible I would give him six STARS. His examinations have been through, his expertise is unquestionable and his demeanor is friendly and patient. All of my surgeries went very well and gave me relief from constant hand & finger pain. I highly recommend Dr. Minkin. I was wheeled into a fairly busy waiting room and was greeted with a pleasant smile. Cherie brought me back 45 minutes later, which I didn't feel was too long due to the number of people already waiting before me. The attending physician Ryan was able to consult my x-rays from Mission and explained to me where the fracture occurred, and how long I would need to remain in the hard boot. I scheduled my follow up appointment two weeks later with him. Considering the circumstances and the holidays, I felt this walk-in clinic did its job very well.

When this PA called me back, I was told ask my primary care or my OB/GYN for further treatment options. she proceeded to tell my to stop taking a medication that I wasn't taking at all and then talked about my diagnosis which was also wrong. it was so obvious to me that she had not even read my chart before she called! I absolutely do NOT feel confident that my osteoporosis would be treated properly with this approach. Could it be a cutback of Medicare patients??

Unfortunately, my experience with the scheduling staff was disappointing. I repeatedly explained that I was simply trying to find out what was required to schedule a new patient appointment, but the conversation felt confusing, dismissive, and unnecessarily difficult. As someone seeking help while actively suffering from migraine symptoms, a little patience and kindness would have gone a long way. While I understand providers may not be accepting new patients, I left the call feeling frustrated and unsupported rather than informed. I hope the clinic can improve the way new patient inquiries are handled, especially for people already dealing with significant health challenges. Very rude staff.

Occasionally I have had to wait a few mins in the room but I never mind because I know she's giving the patient before me the same great care and she always apologizes even though the wait is less than every other dr. office by far. She is also mindful of your insurance as well. Our family, including my mother who hates all doctors adores her! We drive almost an hour each way just to see her.
