She's a wonderful listener & always very attentive to my concerns, & changes in pain levels. She gave me physical therapy exercises to do at home & had several treatment recommendations I used in addition to using medication. She closely monitors my pain levels not only the day of my appointment, but throughout the entire one month period between appointments. She never rushes through her time with me & provides a very personalized patient care experience. When I first started seeing him, the pain was so bad in my back and neck, and I had a hard time sitting, standing, and even moving my arms. I had seen my regular doctor, then went through physical therapy, but nothing helped. The doctor said that I has osteo-arthritis in my cervical spine. He said I would be in this pain for the rest of my life, and within 15 years, my spine would fuse together. He said the only thing I can do now is pain management. I was in despair. Someone suggested a chiropractor. After my prior experience with one, I was afraid. When I first saw Dr. Carlson, I explained my fears of chiropractors, and of my physical condition that led me to him. He assured me that I would be ok, and that I would get through this. He did his first adjustment with gentleness, and had other methods of adjusting my neck, which was one of my fears. I remember being in a therapy room and just cried. I felt so hopeless. He walked into that room, and I cried to him, and he again reassured me that I would be ok. I had to go to him for adjustments, initially, about twice a week for several weeks, but he got me past the point of despair! It has been well over 10 years now, and I still go to him regularly. Not only am I fully functional, but my spine has not fused! I had even started running, and completed many races, including a full marathon! Yes, I still have issues, but he quickly works to get me back on track. He is very kind and compassionate, and his Staff are also very helpful and kind. I found his energy very chaotic and there was never enough time to properly evaluate what I needed. Everytime I was at an appointment it was rushed. I had a filling done and was in pain for months. Everytime something was being "Fixed" it just made things worse and more costly procedures were recommended to me. You are meant to have fillings for years but the doctor can't even totally focus on you while you are there for an hour. This lack of attention caused a lot of problems for me. 8 months later I am still in pain and can't eat properly. I have had to go to another dentist and spend thousands of dollars to attempt to fix all that was done to me. I was not even given the courtesy of having my questions answered. He has never had any fillings done, so the doctor does not even know how it feels to have tooth pain and does not have a good bedside manner.
