Thankfully I came across Cortona, it was like love at first site. Im not just talking just the apartment but the staff was just phenomenal all around. Each and everyone worker was super helpful, understanding, and went above and beyond every time. Maintainer is like magic, they are so damn fast! The apartment is insanely great. The pool is to die for and great for hosting friends & bbq. The neighbors were super kind, generous, and fun. Cortona has events every couple month to get the community together, like, cocktail hour, game night, holiday parties & even events for your doggo. I have a 110 pound shepherd & they welcomed him like their own. The place has a grooming area for the doggo that allows you the wash your dog and blow dry them, not to include the huge dog park. If I did not purchase a home I would have lived here until I did, I absolutely love this place and will miss it dearly. Thank you Cortona for this amazing experience!

I removed a star because of a few major issues I had with my first apartment there, although management was quick to remedy them. Also, most fixtures and furnishes are good quality, however the 'wooden' floors scratched so easily I was afraid to do a lot on them. If anyone is looking for an apartment in this area I'd recommend it. The price is right, the apartments are nice, and management is the best. Find the leprechauns and redeem for gift cards). They even have a business center where residents can use desktop computers with printing or reserve a conference room. The gym also looked amazing--there's a separate fitness room where they have a virtual digital fitness trainer that you can sync your device for. Parking is also free (1 car per apartment unit). It's also walking distance from the Richmond Heights Community Center and Library!

What I didn't expect was the wonderful community of residents and excellent management of the complex. The management is consistently responsive and helpful. They really go the extra distance to quickly resolve any issues and to support the community environment. I didn't expect to care about the community element since I hadn't experienced it before, but that, along with how responsive they are, has become one of my favorite things about living here. As an example, our cat recently went missing. The Park Forest management sent out a message to all residents and staff to be on the lookout and they would send me updates when they learned of any sightings. As my daughter and I searched, I was also touched by the response from so many residents who were looking and messaging me. They would stop and talk to me and my daughter when they saw us out searching. The last place I lived, no one even acknowledged you. I'd give more stars if I could. This is a great place to live.

I talked with many residents, (most are pet owners!) and many eyes were looking for our Nicholas. He is now home! We love the open floor plan and everything is only 4-5 years old! There is a big difference in 'refurbished' apartments and 'new' ones. These were built with 9 foot ceilings, and so much cabinet space, I wish I didn't downsize for the other apartments we've lived in! I have seen some reviews that seemed iffy but honestly I think the apartment manager is great! She is super responsive and if there are any issues they are fixed immediately or within a few days! The staff here are great and for the most part the other tenets are too (only one or two are "shady" complainers)... it is super dog friendly and everyone's puppies get along... the apts are pretty sound proof from my end... I don't really hear anything... It is an old building so we have ac units vice central air but it works out fine and you can always request for more if needed... so far my wife and I love it here!!! And we have friends that want to eventually move here too! The area is great! You are walking distance to the park, zoo, science center and countless museums. There are plenty of restaurants with every type of food you could possibly want!
