Sold a used wig with lace already cut for $5k. I'm embarrassed to have been taken for this ride. I did not do my research about wigs until after the fact. Now I understand what a red flag it is when there's no return policy and the lace is already cut when you buy it. I will say, the 1:1 customer service and the look of the place are great. I was scammed, though. I hope others have a different experience, but if they've done it once they've done it twice. read more

Ordered wig at 5pm, called to cancel at 9am and was told it was too late and we would have to pay restocking fee of $250-$300. The deposit was $1000. Just left there without the wig that was awful. I would stay away from this place. They clearly don't care if you're happy with the product. read more

She was extremely responsive (even when I left a voicemail on a weekend!) and very kind, given that it was a stressful situation to be wig shopping due to hair loss. This company says it's for cancer patients. They sold me a wig that was not a human hair wig. The cost was $4290. BUYER BEWARE I wanted 100% human hair so that I could shower with it, style it with an iron, put it in a ponytail & use products on it!. She said no problem & it would look just like my pic. When I arrived she put a wig on that had a slight curl to it & a large front area of straight hair which had not been cut yet for bangs. The stylist kept feeling the top of my forehead looking at Kimberly indicating it wasn't working. She sewed it & put a headband under it, cut way too much bangs so that she wouldn't have to perm the rest & said it's done. I was now told I couldn't shower with it & needed a special low temp iron. The tabs came way lower than my temple and rested on the back of my ear. Something seemed wrong so I took it to two other places & confirmed it was a high end fake wig possibly part human. I brought it back & asked for a refund. I told her I had already notified the insurance company. Even though they have a strict no returns policy, she knew it was wrong & she didn't hesitate to give me my money back. It's hard to believe any company would do this to someone! I found a complaint on her yelp page that suggested a great place...Chavie Russell Wig! It is a studio in the basement of a beautiful home in Chicago (very nice neighborhood) she had a wall of tons of hair options, of all REAL hair. The difference in the feel of the hair was amazing. This wig was soft, & you could run your fingers through it. I can do everything I had wanted to do with it! The staff was wonderful! They were very professional, kind, helpful, & the cost was almost half the other one. My hair is amazing now! I hope this information helps! If you are looking at these comments you are most likely stepping into one of the hardest life events. Hopefully, this will save you lots of time & frustration. Once you get your hair enjoy! It is so real that I even forget its on at time. Well, I could go on and on about how great this place is (and the one downtown). I went on that horrible cancer roller coaster and this place was recommended to me by a friend. They were nothing short of amazing to me during this crazy time. Not only was my wig extremely well made so that people commented on how great my hair looked, but they were there right beside me during the whole journey. They helped with the process of selecting a wig. And yes, I will say that it is more money that a lot of places, but it is definitely worth it. So the fact that I would get compliments on my "hair" and then they answered all my questions and helped with styling after I washed it, and had great scarves that were fantastic. I could not be happier!! This was a one stop shop for me. I think the key is to see them before the treatment starts. The see your hair and can make a wig that is ver similar and color it if you had highlights. Once it is finished you come back and get a final style cut. I needed to have my hair shaved as it had not started falling out. They were marvelous. They give you all the info and tools you need. Plus there is a YouTube site so you can review it later. Additionally you can call if you need help. It is not inexpensive but for me very worth it!!!! Thanks Kim and staff. read more

I can't rave enough about Chrysalis Custom Hair. Their staff is AMAZING and found the perfect match for my mom - it looks exactly like her real hair. Going through chemo and losing her hair is beyond devastating, and Kimberly and her wonderful staff went so far above and beyond and made my mom look and feel beautiful again.
