I've been coming here for a few months now and the experience has been pleasant. 1 thing that I really like is there perfume/cologne section. They have a large variety of scents & the price is unbeatable! I've also come to purchase hair for styles before. I typically purchase my hair care online directly from the supplier but but misc things here like edge control, scrunchies etc. They have a large variety of just about anything you can need which helps when I'm looking to change products. Wow! This place is amazing. I'm surprised how bad some of the reviews are. If you're looking for anything for artificial hair (extensions and such), this is probably the place to go! I don't know anything about the quality, but the variety is overwhelming. They have lots of hair care and skin care products. I never knew I could buy a gallon of Sea Breeze astringent before. You can here! All the employees were super friendly and helpful, especially Cesar, who helped us navigate some hair products and had good suggestions. I found some great nail stuff. However, the makeup products didn't really impress me much. They have NYX products but they also have a lot of foreign made no-name brands, which I don't trust. Jayla was a huge huge help this evening. I love this store Luz does hair she got me onto the store first. But this is my second time and this girl that works in a Alicia she Latino she never helps. Today it was empty and she looked at me twice and never offer to tell me not once. Even when I was asking if anyone was free to help me. She made me feel very uncomfortable. Positive: SBW has the best prices in the area and is essential. Negatives: The measures to prevent theft is ridiculous and ends up pissing off actual customers. The makeup section has their own checkout. They have shopping baskets as well. The workers will not let you purchase items from other sections and will not let you use the baskets outside of the area. You also cannot take makeup up to the main registers to purchase. The customer is forced to make 2 purchases if you want to get an item from another department. What is the priority? There are wigs quadrupled in price but leadership only cares about makeup that runs from $2 to $15. Why can't the cash registers in makeup or nails handle items from other departments? Why does the checkout process have to be inconvenient for the customer? Bear in mind their is also security at the entrance and exit. This is also an establishment that will not check if an item is in stock when you call. I understand that theft is a real problem but if all the registers in the system are on the same program, why do people have to go to different sections to make purchases off the same system. Also, receipts are checked at the door. I am not trying to be petty but I wish it made sense and the employees dont even know how to defend it either and that's because it doesn't make sense. It's not the physical store, it's the customer service phone line that is HORRIBLE. I placed an order & got an Email from Sams saying they no longer had the product to offer. So I contacted Sams customer service phone line to request a refund to my card- i've been on hold now for 45 minutes with a recording telling me i'm caller #4, then 3, then back to 4, to five. I got to #1 & it bounced me back to #3. It tells me the wait time is 2 minutes- i've been holding close to an hour and no representative has answered. I am not kidding. I'm actually writing this review and I'm STILL on hold! I suggest if you need anything, go into the physical store and buy it. SamsBeauty Warehouse is the place to be if you are in need of anything beauty supply store related. I have heard of SamsBeauty from a few people and needed to drag myself to Melrose Park to see for myself. The great thing about visiting SamsBeauty they are located near a large parking lot so they have ample parking no matter how busy it gets inside. When you enter SamsBeauty you will be blown away by the size of the inside. It is massive and truly is a warehouse. The thing I liked best about SamsBeauty is that they have a good amount of none hair related items. I was able to grab a variety of bath and hygiene items. I even saw different variations of raw shea butter. The items were nicely priced and they seemed to have a lot of different scents that I have not seen in the stores closer to me. The selection of wigs and hair products is unmatched. I am a wig novice so I was happy they had a good selection of glueless wigs that ranged from cheaper synthetic to human hair. I was not prepared to tackle a lace front wig so I opted for a wig with a bang. I was able to try on a few of the wigs to determine which one I liked. They have a section in the warehouse that has several seats along with mirrors to see how you look. I was able to find a reasonably priced human hair wig that I could see myself wearing multiple times. read more

Alot of $1 items. I luv the makeup section & found many bargains there. The staff is so nice! Very helpful & kind. Not like other stores where staff acts as if they are doing you a huge favor! Great service. A huge variety of skin, hair care, perfumes, brushes & so much more. I do not wear the hair pieces but they have a huge section. I will go back to spend more time browsing around. I love other stores such as Ulta, Wal-Mart & Target. But I feel there is a much better selection of products here. I think you can find almost anything you are looking for. I also love that some items were only $1, $1.49 etc. Sure there are pricey items as well. It all depends what you buy. But for the most part this is a true beauty discount store. Extremely inconvenient for customers!!! The one on North Ave. They have appointments for wig install but u can't make an appointment until you have purchased the wig. They didn't have another appointment for 35mins and I couldn't book because I didn't have the wig in hand. Mind you they accept wigs from their store and outside wigs. Stupid policy and extremely inconvenient!!! DAN the manager then comes back and says oh she is taking her lunch so now you're going to have to wait an hour for her to do your wig install when originally is was 3:35pm for the next appointment and I came back up to the register for 3:20pm. I needed additional assistance with hair products and hair purchases. Carlos was very informative and patient while taking me to various sections of the warehouse for more products. The cashier was friendly and offered a light conversation before I made my purchases. A beauty hidden gem in Melrose Park. I drove passed this place for many years. I always thought you had to be a license beautician or barber to shop here. I was over in the area and saw a bunch of ladies going inside. I was curious to see what was inside this warehouse. Well let me just say I was overjoyed that I did decide to come inside. Spacious warehouse of nothing but deals on so many beauty products. You can find so many great discount prices on beauty items, hair extensions, wigs, nail and makeup, anything you name they have it. Even men can shop here for their beauty items. The staff who was going on the sales floor were very helpful. One of the guy's were super nice and took his time to assist me. It is ginormous, well-lit, clean and unlike your neighborhood beauty supply there is no one following you around to make sure you don't steal. You'll find synthetic wigs as well as Virgin hair wigs here. The employees in the virgin wig section are super helpful and answered all my questions about the different types of hair. There's literally so many wigs I got overwhelmed lol. There are many many aisles here consisting of every brand of hair and beauty product you can think of. I have 30 different personalities and SamsBeauty has enough wigs in there to fit all of them! When this store first got to the area, I was immediately elated!!! It is HUGE!!!!! There's sections for bundles, makeup, body care, hair care, salon equipment and more! But what I love the most is the wig section - it's humongous! Life changing! Mind altering! I've never seen so many wigs in one place and it's insane. The customer service can be hit or miss, but if you're used to the beauty supply stores in the hood that charge DOUBLE what they charge in here ALONG with the pissy attitudes that they normally have, this place is like a walk in the park. When the riots were occurring they got broken into and were out of commission for a little (so sad), but they came back like nothing ever happened! If you do not respond back to there weird ass verification, which is mandatory by the way, never in life have I had a company ask and verify before they shipped to such documents that they requested they want you to supply them with a copy of a phone bill or utility bill that matches the shipping address and also the shipping address must match the bill to address for that debit card that you're using including even if you use PayPal! I placed an order and ended up only being able to submit my Chase statement for my billing address which I do not live at but still frequent,however it was shipped to my home and that shipping address I do not pay utilities and have a prepaid phone plan so I don't have a damn bill or so for that address I submitted my 401k documents that I receive monthly. I believe that those are two very secure documents and they refused to place my order. Even after I called and I told him if I have my rental agreement that shows that utilities are included in a screenshot of my app where I pay my phone bill that has the address for because it's not a bill they wouldn't accept it. !!!! read more

I went to the store in Bedford Park. Now the store was huge, I will give it that, but trying to find what I was looking for - bulk human hair for braiding - was frustrating. I was finally able to find someone to help me, but I got the impression that I was bothering her. Now, I'm not very experienced in dealing with human hair, so I had questions however, she seemed reluctant to answer them.
