Hope to work with Tony at Crosdroads Planning for our future tax planning needs.

Once paid, they offered little further assistance. Significant miscommunication between staff members on essential elements of our filing. Longer version: We hired a tax preparation service to help navigate changes to our filing status after getting married. Our tax consultant, Garrett Jones, began working on our application with the wrong filing status. After correcting this error, there was poor communication regarding important changes that needed to be followed up on, which resulted in IRS notices arriving in June. When I raised my concerns with Garrett, his guidance was vague and he offered no clear timeline for resolution. Weeks later, with no progress made, I was left with the impression that once he had been paid, his investment in us as clients had ended. I spent approximately 10 hours on the phone with the IRS trying to sort out the status of our account. Throughout this process, Garrett maintained that I owed approximately $2,000 to the IRS -- when in fact I had a pending refund of approximately $2,000. In the end, we were left with a significant miscalculation, poor customer service, and no choice but to resolve everything ourselves. I'm still unclear what the fee we paid to Crossroads Financial Planning actually covered. Highly recommend taking your taxes elsewhere.

They advertise several free services -- including a *free retirement roadmap* and a *Morningstar performance report* -- but none of these promises were fulfilled. Instead, every interaction felt like a push to collect more of my personal information rather than providing any actual value. Over multiple scheduled calls and meetings, they repeatedly asked for additional documents such as my brokerage account statements, IRA information, and even my date of birth, all with the promise that they would produce a Morningstar report. Despite giving them everything they requested, they never delivered **any** report or useful analysis. When I asked about the "free retirement roadmap" they promote, they simply told me it was "too early" for that -- even after several conversations and after I tried to engage with them as a serious prospective client. It became clear that their main goal was to gather personal information and convert me into a client **before** offering any of the services they advertise. No transparency, no follow-through, and no deliverables. I genuinely approached them with the intention of hiring them as my financial advisors, but their lack of professionalism and failure to keep their promises made me lose trust in their process. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
