When we bought our house, we noticed their sticker was already on our electric box, so naturally, we called them to come out and fix the problems we were having. They confirmed they did indeed install our electric in the home. The entire house had issues--lights flickering in different rooms, power cutting out if too much was running at the same time, and overall shortages throughout the home. When their techs came out, they didn't know how to fix any of the issues. They wasted our time, left us with no solutions, and then still sent us a bill for almost $300. A year later, we received a collection notice for that bill--even though they never actually fixed anything in our home. On top of that, the customer service was rude and unhelpful. Instead of trying to resolve the problem, they were dismissive and disrespectful. For a company whose name was already on the box when we moved in, this was beyond frustrating and unprofessional Bottom line: They charged us for nothing, gave us zero solutions, and treated us poorly in the process. I would not recommend AEY Electric to anyone.

The receptionist seemed irritated, but gave me the pricing information, and I explained that I would call back after speaking with my husband. About five minutes later, I called back to schedule the appointment. The phone rang twice and then went straight to voicemail. I called again two more times, several minutes apart, and each time my call appeared to be declined and sent directly to voicemail. Shortly after my third attempt, I received a text message from an unknown personal cell phone number stating: "Hi there, this is Kristy from Buckeye Appliance Repair. I will not be scheduling new appointments for the next week. Sorry for any inconvenience." What made this situation even more upsetting was that I had my mother called a couple hours later asking for the exact same service and was immediately told they could come out the very next day. The only noticeable difference between our calls was our names (which show on the caller ID). I have a distinctly African American name, while my mother's name is Sandi. I cannot say with certainty what motivated the different treatment, but based on the timing and circumstances, the experience felt discriminatory and deeply uncomfortable. If appointments truly were unavailable, I believe that should have been communicated honestly and professionally over the phone instead of repeatedly declining my calls. I always try to support local businesses in my community, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Unfortunately, because of how I was treated, I would not recommend this business to others.

The best part about these guys, their initial service fee is not outrageous, like I see with most others appliance services. The service tech they sent, Jerry, although a young man in his early 20s, he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Luckily, my furnace only needed an adjustment to the gas pressure to place it back in normal operating mode. So my initial fee covered his visit and the adjustment, unlike other vendors I've used in the past where they look for things that they can charge you more or say they're about to break, just to charge you more money for the service. My husband contacted Nemcheck for a service call and they were able to come out in a very timely manner. Due to our AC unit being located under the deck, and the fact that it was 24 years old, it was running constantly, and it was determined that there was an issue. It was more cost-effective to purchase a new AC unit. The technician was very thorough in explaining what our options were. Rob came to determine where we would like our new AC unit , to confirm the AC unit we wanted , and to take measurements also . Again, he was very thorough in going through the options and what was going to happen with the install. After ordering the unit, the Nemcheck team arrived for our scheduled install.
