What a bad idea. Paul is nice, and was responsive - at first. Walked the property, answered my detailed questions, and explained how my outdoor lighting would be installed. That was NOT how things went. After taking three separate days off work here's what I got: Landscape lighting: Paul stated that the wiring could be run along the columns of my front entryway. His guys trenched ACROSS MY LAWN destroying ground cover and grass, and tunneling under my 100 year old stone walkway. At least the lights work. Motion Light: Paul said it would be installed high on the side of my home to maximize the sensor angle. His workman installed it on a low awning where the sensor is blocked by my deck. I've adjusted it countless times and at best it works 25%. Back Deck Flood Light: Again, the crew did it a different (probably easier) way than Paul promised and LEFT A HOLE IN MY HOUSE covered by a piece of cardboard taped to the wall. Really? They wasted time by not having materials on site, one guy smoked on my doorstep WHILE THE DOOR WAS OPEN, and the same guy was highly unprofessional in the way he spoke about Paul. I talked to him about how he was completing the work, but he insisted Paul wasn't competent and that his way was better. I reached out to Paul when my job was complete to go over my concerns but he never got back to me. You've been warned. read more

Bad communication, never calls back. Very sloppy work. I could have done it better myself if I had free time. Had to have them come back over and over again and they still screwed things up. DO NOT call them.....save yourself the nightmare. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Awful business! Paul the owner came to our house 3 times. The first time when we were under contract to support the seller. He seemed to know what he was talking about and his prices were significantly lower than the rest of the indusry (red flag #1). After shopping around we decided to give him the job. We purchased an older home with knob and tube wiring. We were prepared to make a big investment and get the entire house rewired. Visit #2 he consulted us that we only needed to remove what was visible, remove the attic wiring, and ground outlets. When he came back to do the job we hired him for (expecting the pay what he quoted around $6,000 in work). Visit #3 he arrives for the job, took a look at our electric work, and told us none of it was active and that there was no need for us to do any work. He left after a couple of hours and we paid him $300. Now today, we have an insulation company at our house to insulate our attic. And guess what, THEY FOUND LIVE KNOB AND TUBE! So we're back to square one with no progress on our electric and other jobs on hold until we can find someone who can actually DO THEIR FREAKING JOB. So thanks Chuck's Electric for wasting out time (5 months) and money! I hope others don't make the same mistake we did.. read more

They did not connect all of my electric outlets to the new box and I have not been able to reach them in over 2 years. I have called numerous times and have not been successful. I have left messages and no one has reached out to me. read more

We called Chuck's Electric due to several outlets not working in our house. We were able to schedule a quick and convenient appointment time. Paul arrived promptly at the appointed time and was quickly able to resolve the issue. Paul was professional and courteous. He provided insight into how our house was wired (vintage 1985) that should help us avoid future problems. I'd definitely use Chuck's Electric again. read more

Needed 6 electrical items worked on/added to our house built in the 70's. Paul was wonderful to deal with. His workers were polite, professional & very talented. Easy scheduling & they worked until they finished the job. Did everything we asked them to do. So pleased with our new ceiling fan, bathroom light fixture, removal of an old ceiling track lighting, connecting can lighting to a switch & installing LED bright light low ceiling lighting in our finished basement. Amazing job! We are very pleased and would call on Chuck's Electric again & again. Highly recommend this company! read more

I would give him no stars if I could. DON'T call Chuck's Electric unless you like waiting days for them to show up and they don't. I hired them two years ago to replace the main ($$$$$) and some other things with outdoor lightening. The job was close to $1,000 and they couldn't get here fast enough. Were here the next day. Now I told him I needed little things done and he has cancelled twice and then today (08/14/17) just didn't show up. I called the owner's personal cell phone and he wouldn't answer. I also left messages the week before at the business number FIVE times and no one returned my call. I had Paul's email so emailed him on a Friday. He called on Monday and said he didn't know anything about the calls. Said he would be there on Wednesday afternoon. Called him about 4PM. Said he would have to reschedule. Rescheduled for Friday afternoon. waited all day and called him about 2:30 PM. Said he would be here by 4 PM. He called at 4:00 PM to say he was stuck in N. KY bridge traffic and would be here later. Then called at 6:00 PM to say he couldn't make it as he was flying out that evening and wouldn't make his flight if he came here. ]Rescheduled for Monday afternoon. When he wasn't here by 4:45 I called, he let it go to VM and did not call back. It is now 7:00 PM and no Paul (owner). So if you enjoy taking off work multiple times, sitting and waiting for electricians who don't show x 3, a company that cherry picks jobs, and doesn't return phone calls, by all means hire Chuck's Electric. BTW: the owner's name is Paul and he is the person with whom I dealt with each time, not a staff member. Chuck was his father. read more
