This store charged my debit card twice for a lottery ticket purchase of 21.00. I contacted my bank they suggested contacting the store which should result in an expedient solve of the problem. I was told if they would not give the refund back to me to call them back & they would investigate the natter.
First contact with the store the gentleman answering the phone was nice and asked if I could come to the store right then, which I couldn't. Advised him I would come Saturday he said ok.
On Saturday the gentleman helping me was very abrupt, unprofessional and down talking me he was completely out of order with me. I explained the problem and showed him my bank account on line reflecting the double charge of $21.00. He said come tomorrow when the owner will be there between 7-12.
At 10:30 I started to the store. Half way to the store, I called to ensure the owner was there...... well hot darn who ever answered said he wasn't. I turned around came back home, called the bank and reported the situation and all I had been through. Was told they would replace the money and deal with the store directly and that I will receive a report of their investigation. 24 hours later the bank returned my funds back in my account.
I know 21.00 isn't much, however the manner of the tall grey haired man helping me prompted this.
If you play lottery there, please make sure you are only charged precisely for the purchase you made.
