My mother-in-law recently bought a sectional and a chair at the Mountain Home location. The…read moresectional was not in stock and had to be ordered. She was asked to pay for it before she got to see it. She didn't see it until it was delivered to her house. After the delivery people left, she noticed that the back of the sectional pieces were not level with each other and that the seams on the front weren't level from one piece to the next. She called to see what could be done about this. Some people came to her house and said that the pieces were assembled correctly and that there wasn't anything that they themselves could do about the issue. She was asked to take some pictures and send them in. Those pictures apparently were sent to some higher-ups somewhere. I don't know where. After several days, she got a response that there was nothing they were willing to do about the issues with her furniture. They won't let her return the sectional. They won't give her a discount. So, BUYER BEWARE!!! If you do choose to darken their doors, I would suggest you make sure you get to see what you're buying before you pay for it. Another thing to be aware of is the way their warranties are structured. She agreed on purchasing a warranty thinking there would be one charge for the sectional and one charge for the chair. The sectional is five pieces and they charged her five times for that and once for the sectional. That probably is in writing somewhere but seems a little sketchy to me. We have been customers of Hanks in the past but in the future, we will take our money somewhere else.

There were several signs in the garden center area indicating these plants to be $3.33 each. I selected 3 of the 2.5 qt size perennials and took to the register. Only one of them rang up at $3.33. The other two (exact same size) rang up $5.96 each. The cashier said there was no mistake and wouldn't allow the $3.33 price. This was either intentionally deceptive or a mistake they wouldn't correct.
