The food is ok and the service is usually top notch. What I despise is their underhanded pricing. The price you see on the menu is not what you pay when it's time to pay the bill. They pad the bill with what they call their "honest to goodness fee". I find it neither honest or good. Unless you read all the fine print on your menu, or the fine print on the bottom of your bill, you don't realize that you are being charged extra for everything you order. I've found the quality and portions have gone downhill over the last year or so at all their locations. I generally go after 9 for their half price appetizers if I go at all. So now you know. If you've never been, know you will pay more than what the menu prices state and your best time to go is after 9 for half price appetizers. read more

This location of Chuck's Roadhouse was pretty solid in my books. I made a visit for a reunion dinner with my godparents and I was impressed with the amount of attention they took to ensure a safe and hygienic dining experience as we get through COVID-19. The tables were socially distanced and the staff took good measures to ensure the premises were nice and clean. I ordered the 20 oz. Porterhouse Cut with a Stuffed Baked Potato. The quality was solid. The steak was grilled to a nice medium-rare with a nice char. The stuff baked potato was nicely loaded with sour cream and bacon. I was quite impressed with the grill marks of the steak. The next time I am back in Windsor, I will definitely make a trip to this Chuck's whenever I am feeling steak. read more

The 3% is apparently for good quality food (why not just add it to the menu?) . The menu highlights the 3% to ensure quality food but when the bill comes the 3% charge also includes the alcohol? The food does not meet the definition of quality. That was our last visit to any of the Chuck Roadhouse Grills. read more

Posting this review from the toilet! Steer clear of the steak (yes pun intended). Came for the first time with some coworkers, mainly for the cheap drinks - yes that's the selling point here. We did have some apps that were decent- mozzarella sticks, calamari, and spinach dip- all decent but fairly ho hum. Couldn't taste any spinach. Friend was still hungry so I decided to give the 7oz top sirloin a try, can't go wrong for $12 right? Asked for it rare, thinking yes they'll overcook, but this backfired I think? I have never seen a steak that is grey in the middle, not blue/red even, but grey, and no dripping at all. Very salty too. Oh and no corn, fries and gravy were decent. I have an absolute iron stomach, but I regret choking the steak down, but with our miserable waitress I wasn't planning on sending back or just refusing. I'm also not one to cliche say oh that place gave me food poisoning, but something was amiss with that steak and I will never eat at a Chucks again, pooriod. read more

Take my review with a grain of salt; today my experience there wasn't the best, I normally do not eat out much because of my anxiety, but my parents had taken me out to lunch here. It was busy so I can't blame them too harshly but some items on the burgers were missing, but what really got to me was one of the servers said when placing my food (I had gotten a Caeser salad without cheese, croutons, or bacon), she had said "and just lettuce", I admit she was technically right it did make me a tad upset and uncomfortable; my whole life I've had phenylketonuria so I can't eat things high in protein like cheeses, meats, breads, etc. so this comment hurt more than it should've. I do hope this doesn't happen again but I will not be eating out for awhile. read more

I have to say that I have been here several times before but my experience this last time is the reason for this review. First they have an all you can eat salad. Three of our party got it in addition to their entree, I had salad instead of fries. We also ordered the garlic bread appetizer. 8 or so mintites we received our bread but nothing else. 15 minutes later I asked where our salad was. They waitress stated that the new policy is that they bring the salad out with the meal. Now I understand mine coming with my meal, as I had it to replace my fries but the rest of my party ordered it to be in addition to their entree. We told the waitress we would like our salads now. She brought out the salad and then 2 minutes later out comes our food. The other times we had gone there. The salad come out ahead of the entree. It is obvious that their all you can eat salad is all you can eat well your trying to eat your hot entree. Second. They state that their prices are low and than they charge an "honest fee" of 3%. Instead of just raising the menu price they charge you a fee (that is taxable) of 3%. They explanation given on the menu and website state. "In order for us to continue providing fresh, fabulous food at incredible prices, we need to add 3% to all prices. Don't panic! It's really not a lot." The food is not the best I've had. It's ok but stop trying to gouge a customer with reducing the all you can eat salad and then charge me a 3% fee on it. read more

Please stop opening locations until you fix your food quality. I tried the new location thinking that maybe you finally got it right on the third try but nope. I was wrong. Steaks were over cooked, corn on the cob must have been boiling all day because it was literally mush, and the fries were cold. The only good things were the cheap beer and the side salad. Brought it up to our waitress that the meal was over cooked but she just said "well we've only been open a week so we can't do everything right." I understand growing pains but to shrug off a concern like you knew it was coming isn't very friendly or welcoming. We have been coming to Chucks Roadhouse for a while now. Tonight for the first time I noticed an additional fee on our bill labeled "Honest to Goodness Fee". I inquired about it and we were told that this 3% fee was added in an attempt to keep their prices lower. WTF? So instead of honestly displaying your prices, you try and sneak a 3% "fee" of you own by the customer, hopefully without them noticing. What a deceptive practice. So now customers pay a disgusting total tax of 16% on their meal at this place. We will not be back. read more

With pandemic restrictions, it wasn't easy to get in a restaurant without being on a long wait list. Luckily, the wait at Chuck's wasn't long so that's where we went. Drove a half hour to go to rib night. Unfortunately sat in the back next to the kitchen and bar. The girl was looking after the bar, the servers and 6 tables. Ordered a picture of draft with 3 mugs. She came with 2. Took 10 minutes to get the other mug. Ordered gravy with my meal. Meal came with medium to cold fries and no gravy. Reminded the waitress when she came. Waited 10 minutes and still no gravy. Waitress came to a table next to ours and I told her to cancel the gravy. She said no charge for the gravy but I said I do not want it. She brought it anyway. I understand the problem is with the management giving to much work for the server but the experience was very poor. Poor service, cold food and not worth the drive. Not coming back. read more

It was around 1:45 on Saturday noon when we entered and we were told to pick a seat as we want as there were not many guests and pretty empty. We sit down and waited for 10-15 mins and the waitress walked around cleaning the desks collecting the bills as if we were there at all, even without looking at us and just a fews words like "please wait for a moment". Decided to try this place with the family, ​I figured the food would be half decent since it is a brand new restaurant​. Boy was I wrong! We ordered nachos and mozzarella​ sticks for appetizers. The mozzarella sticks were bland, I've had better at home! The nachos were almost unedible. They were stale and consisted of 10 chips covered by a mountain of jalapenos, cheese, ​and sour cream. I ordered a Chucks burger and my husband ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. I took two bites out of the burger which was below average and my husbands chicken sandwich was soggy as can be.
