This welcoming and massive restaurant was within walking distance of our hotel so we gave it a shot. The staff were extremely welcoming, fun, and patient. We were seated upstairs which offered a great view of the Detroit River skyline. The view, the music, and the staff deserve five stars. Unfortunately, the food receives less stars. The presentation was fine and the temperature of everything was great. The food was lacking in flavor. Salt and pepper were added to the salad and the pizza. Additionally, we asked for their homemade hot sauce which offered a smoky taste with minimal heat. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy!! I was looking for a place to have dinner and while walking around stumbled past Eastwood's. Eastwoods is less than five minute walk from the casino and seemed very inviting. After looking at the menu online I returned for dinner. Upon arrival I was given the option to sit at the bar for dinner since I was alone. The bartender quickly gave me an extensive drink and food menu. I ordered a house cocktail (poolside) and decided on a 10oz ribeye. The drink was refreshing (numerous beers on tap too) and the steak was cooked to medium (as requested) with little fat. Gord and I had supper Friday evening at Eastwood's Grill & Lounge with our friends and former neighbours, Monica and Mark. Our Walkerville Brewery beer (a local brewery) was cold and refreshing. I had Chicken Parmesan, Gord had Pesto Penne, Monica had a Dirty Bird Sandwich and Mark had BBQ Beef Ribs and Wings. All were good! Horrible experience! Service was slow and very unfriendly. Beef bite things that my friend ordered didn't taste like food. My burger was basically frozen in the centre, very small restaurant so don't attend with a lot of people. I attended with a lot of people, it felt very crammed. Not recommended at all! read more

Doesn't look like much from the outside but this is a very comfortable place for a beer and some very decent food. Staff friendly, live music not too loud. We went here several times while staying at a nearby hotel for a week. The menu has limited offerings (which is good) and everything we had from it was great except the nachos, which were disappointing (lose those plastic cups!). All of the bartenders are awesome if you sit at the bar, and servers are friendly and attentive at tables. The coolest thing was that we could sit at the far end open to the sidewalk and river, and although it was fishfly season, the lights outside were brighter than the ones inside so 99% of the creepy crawlies stayed out there while we had cold drafts, generous shots, and tasty food. Only one negative about ambience: the TVs playing a weird rotation of MTV-style videos from the 1980s. But the volume is tolerable. read more

Just ordered. It was suuuper gross. I got a french dip sandwich advertised on french baguette came on a soggy white bun. I had 2 bites, both of which were filled with fat and gristle - threw the rest of it away. I also ordered some wings with hot buffalo sauce - the sauce was completely flavourless and had zero heat. the chicken was greasy and the fried batter was soggy. I was not too impressed by the size of the Beef Ribs, so I went into the restaurant and spoke with the owner. He was understanding and added two extra Ribs to the meal. There were three of us traveling from the states to Windsor and we found this little gem! I am so glad that we stopped here! The food that we had was fantastic! One of us tried the rib eye steak with baked potato. It was great! The flavor of the meat is exactly what you go to a steakhouse for. One of us tried the bacon-cheese burger with fries. Classic. Couldn't go wrong with the flavor of the beef. Finally, one of us tried the French dip with sweet potato waffle fries. To die for. They serve the sweet potato fries with a special dipping sauce that is blended to perfection. The meat is slow roasted for 12 hours and melted in your mouth. It was the softest baguette ever with enough hold to eat the sandwich. Well done on the food end! If that wasn't enough, the staff was friendly, the owner makes himself present at the tables, and the whole place is spotlessly clean with a great view of the river/Detroit. This might be a good place to go for a beer and burger but if you're looking for a more "upscale" meal you might consider going elsewhere. We arrived on a mid-April Saturday evening and the place was not at all busy. We were greeted quickly but then it took our Server almost 5 minutes to show up to take our drink order. We waited an interminably long time for our order to arrive - we ordered a 10 oz. ribeye steak ($26) and a ribs & chicken wings ($24 + $3 upgrade for sweet potato fries). The kitchen was busy filling a take-out order. The food was mediocre at best - tough old boiled carrot slices was the "seasonal vegetable" - incredible for a $26 meal!!! At least 1 to 1-1/2 oz. of the steak was gristle and inedible fat. The steak was not worth the price. They must have changed steak suppliers since the review from 8 months ago left positive comments. The ambiance is typical pub/grill and met expectations. Our server, Tabitha, was very friendly and cheerful - unfortunately she wasn't supported by the kitchen. I'll go here again for a burger, etc. but not for costly steak or ribs. read more
