My rating: 3 1/2* My last remaining review from my short stay in Windsor from couple of weeks ago. We came here on a Tuesday night and the place was quiet. We were seated promptly and our server was very attentive and friendly. The reason we chose Kelsey's was because were a group of 8 and this place had a dish that we can all pick without going somewhere else. This location is in a large plaza with ample parking and the decor is nice, clean and modern. They also have lots of seating and a bar section too. The menu contains lots of dishes with high calorie content but that's not really surprising at Kelsey's. I decided to go with the Thai Shrimp Curry Bowl. As expected, the dish was just okay. The noodles were over cooked and the curry was a bit bland. Shrimps were good though. Concept is good but the execution is very poor. That's the same issue I have with places like Jack Astor and Milestones. Instead of the main dishes, I would come for drinks and appetizers instead. The bar area is really nice and seems like a good place for a date or just grab drinks. I added the half of star for our server who was funny and made our night by telling us about his encounter from the US border patrol trying to go to Detroit. Went to Kelsey's last night for a friend's birthday. She had made reservations prior, which was a good idea, since when we got there it was really busy. I haven't been to Kelsey's since they did a revamp of their entire restaurant and menu. This location also used to be a Casey's when this building was first built. For a chain restaurant, I still get surprised to see how busy it gets. Our waitress ended up coming around to let us know she was just finishing up with a table and would be right with us for our drink orders. Which was fine, and letting us know was great, and not leaving us in the dark waiting for someone to come around. For our main courses, I ordered a chicken caesar wrap, as did my friend, and the waitress suggested that we can put the honey garlic sauce on the chicken, and I thought that would taste delicious so I did, and then I ordered sweet potato fries as a side. The food didn't take long to come out at all, the usual 10 to 15 minute wait after ordering. Our waitress was also on top of topping off our waters and asking if we needed anything. Our food came out and it was good. It was a really good choice to have honey garlic sauce on my chicken caesar wrap. The chicken wasn't dry at all, there was a great amount of caesar salad dressing in the wrap, and the tortilla wrap wasn't dry at all; it was basically the most delicious thing I could have ordered from there. The fries were great. Then we ordered dessert. For dessert I split the brownie pops with my sister with the peanut butter sauce. SO GOOD. Then again, anything deep fried is. The peanut butter sauce was sweet and added a nice sweet kick to the pops. I tried some of my friends ice cream cookie sandwich. The cookie was super rich and tasted like cookie dough. SO GOOD. The overall experience was good. The restaurant was busy, so it was pretty loud when we were there, which was around 6:30 to 8:30, and then it started to die down a bit. The washrooms were fairly clean, the floors were a bit sticky. This restaurant also had live music playing the bar area, which was great to make it feel like a local bar and grill kind of vibes. read more

This is a great place for an after work drink or a quick lunch in my opinion. Sometimes the service isn't so quick, but the bar side of the restaurant has a great atmosphere and Scott is awesome! The food is good, and the newer menu options are always surprising. There aren't too many healthy options, but if you're looking to indulge then this is a good option. Last time I was there I had the stuffed French toast and it was pretty amazing! Although very sweet - to be expected! I'll come back because their food is usually on point and the service is as it should be. The one negative thing I would say is about their bathrooms. The women's washroom has mold on the walls from what was once a leak somewhere and it seems it was never fixed properly. It's definitely a turnoff for me. read more

Placed an order through Skip The Dishes. Unfortunately the incorrect order was delivered to us. HOWEVER!! Before we even knew, our phone was ringing, its was the manager of Kelsey's telling us what had happened and was completely apologetic for this situation. He was having the kitchen staff prepare our order urgently and would be personally delivering it us. When he arrived, he let us keep the incorrect food, gave us our fresh food, but had coupons in there for next time. Awesome customer service, great job Kelsey's team! read more

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat. Service is fantastic as always. The food seems to sub par compared to my first few visits. Our regular nacho order wasnt as good as the last time. The onion rings dont seem homemade, although tasty. The mac and cheese was ok, I dont think I would order any of these items again. read more

Not a huge fan of McFranchise restaurants but Kelsey's usually delivers dependable, if not inspired selections. Scott was our over-friendly server slash bartender that checked all the McBoxes. We were on the bar side for a birthday celebration. Live Music added a nice backdrop to our smallish party. I ordered the wing and rib combo that came on rectangular metal platter. The ribs were tender and wings passable. The sauce on the ribs was a generic 'cattlemen's BBQ' that didn't add much to the overall flavor. If you want a dependable meal at a slightly inflated price, then Kelsey's is the ticket. The kids tacos are very very spicy, even too spicy for me or my husband. Our mouths are on fire. And even though the menu does not specify that it doesn't come with a side (and other kids meals that didn't come with a side stated such), they said it didn't come with a side. This place is like eating at spirit airlines. Everything is an up sale. We paid extra for a kids meal side salad. Extra for the kids meal fries. Extra for the sauce for the sweet potato fries. They also didn't hear me mention grilled chicken instead of a beef burger. Portions are small. Despite everything, the breakfast burger was tasty. read more

Went to this location tonight. First time I've set foot in a kelseys in over 10 years. And I have to say I was pretty impressed. From the much needed layout update of the whole restaurant to the rustic looking decor on the walls to the modern simple and clean looking recently redesigned menus. The appetizers and food showed up rather quickly and was very tasty. The only reason I'm only giving a 3 start is the positions. The hamburger was decent sized but the tray of French fries was far from full. That was very disappointing. The Nutella filled donuts with peanut butter sauce was outstanding. went out last night with the boys for a bite after golf,,,absolutely terrible,,service was worst ive experienced probably ever!!!! server may have been all of 20 and obviously has no experience,,we had to go up to the bar and ask for utensils!!! there was maybe 14 patrons in the whole place,,took 10 mins to get a drink!! buddys mushroom burger had no nil zero mushrooms in or on it!!! wings were good as they usually are at Kelseys but aside frm that,,what a waste of money!!! drive thru at a fast food chain would have been a better value!!! seems since we are coming out of the pandemic, a lot of establishments have new staff and little to no experience,, maybe time for more backyard bbq cookouts !!! pathetic!! I haven't had a Kelsey's night in a long time, but tonight had certainly brought back memories from my "on the road" childhood. If you're in the mood for classic food accompanied by a variety of music, then Kelsey's is an excellent choice. I decided to go with the "Build a burger" option, I was pleased with the choice. The burger was cooked through and outside was perfectly crisped. Much appreciation to the visual affect that the place has, as well as the friendly staff. The musician played a few of my favourites, so that made the night that much better. Would certainly recommend for any group gatherings! read more

Came here on the weekend for dinner, had a wonderful steak and shrimp combo that was cooked perfectly. We ended up moving from their dining room to lounge and enjoy wonderful live music and beverages after our dinner, the staff here are very friendly and personable. After this great evening and knowing that they have live entertainment on Friday and Saturdays, we will definitely be returning to this fine establishment. read more

We had a really bad experience. From the moment I got there the waitress was very rude and badly tempered. I brushed it off and when the rest of the guests got there her attitude got worse. She was short with us, cutting us off when we were speaking so we got up to leave. The waitress wasted no time to bad mouth us to other employees while we were walking out. The absolute worst part was the manager. She came out and I calmly just told her what was going on. Just explained we were leaving because we didnt appreciate how we were being spoken to. She was rolling her eyes at me and pretty much showing me she could care less. The last time I visited our waiter was amazing Sad to say this will be the last time I ever go back because of how everything was handled. My wife and I had truly given up on Kelsey's until this restaurant opened. We decided to try it for lunch today and honestly we were presently surprised. I got the Ultimate Bacon Burger and it was good...nothing extraordinary but delicious with Onion rings that were beyond the regular expectation. My wife got the Buffd up wrap and I was jealous when I tasted it...it was awesome. However, the real difference between this Kelsey's and most restaurants is that the service was phenomenal. Went for dinner about 2 weeks ago, table of 4. The service was very slow, took 15-20 minutes to even take our drink order, then another 15 minutes to bring our drinks out. About another 20 minutes they finally took our food order. She brought out the tortillas and fixings 15 minutes before serving everyone elses meals and the steak for the fajitas...just odd.... From sit down to getting our meal took over an hour! The waitress was not apologetic for the wait, nor offered an explanation when we mentioned the slow service. The food was average, the chicken parm was burnt around the edges. Will not return. read more
