The best place in Hahira for coffee & food!! We love stopping here for an iced brown butter latte and their pancakes and bacon. This is supporting a small business so any wait on food means it's cooked to order. We prefer this over fast food any day. The staff is always very sweet, and consistent. Delighted to review the Church Street Cafe! We found it via Yelp when we were nearby on I-75. The lunch crowd (it was packed!) was obviously local, but it proved to be a destination-worthy place for lunch. FOOD: Fresh and delicious! We had the Hahira Hot Honey Chick sandwich (perfect) and a classic (loaded!) club sandwich with onion rings. The sign says REAL GUD COFFEE and they have it, including fresh brewed espresso. For dessert, we chose salted caramel cheesecake instead of banana pudding (both homemade), accompanied by perfect cappuccinos. SERVICE: Friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. Their menu is small, as it should be because everything they serve is hot, fresh and fantastic. The staff is always super nice, if not the speediest, but they're mostly young kids, so they're still learning their craft. The coffee is amazing and perfectly crafted. Went in for breakfast based on a Facebook post about serving good coffee. Service was slow and the staff behind the counter seemed indifferent. Unlike Cracker Barrel and Huddle House, no one came around to offer more coffee or to see if we were enjoying our meal. Staff seemed more interested in standing behind the counter and talking among themselves. We had lunch there several months ago, before they started serving breakfast. It was much better service, better food and more attentive servers checking drink refills, etc. I doubt we will go back. I prefer to spend my money on local businesses, but with the new eateries opening along Main Street, Church Street Cafe is going to need to "step up their game" if they want to stay in business. read more

This place used to be amazing and I'm sad to have to make this review but some changes have been made recently and not for the better. The added Gud coffee recently which we were excited for but with that came several changes to their hours that they do not have updated everywhere, they took off a several menu items including the fried green tomatoes which we loved, but they have not properly updated their menu in their website and/or social media. We called one Saturday to order lunch and was told they stopped doing lunch it's only their brunch menu which they do not have in their website only on social media which no everyone has social media my parents do not so they didn't know. The online ordering options has also been removed. We picked up lunch one day and employees at the pickup window were not very friendly as they have been in the past and normally they ask if we want ketchup, ranch or any other sauces. They didn't ask so I asked for ranch they said they didn't have any not believable but whatever. We were also told 30 mins for pickup but when we got our food it was cold and didn't look fresh that was the first time our food wasn't good at all. Idk why so many changes but they are not for the better imo. We loved this place because it was local and good but idk if it's going to last with poor service and food quality. read more

I waited for over 35 minutes from 12:30 when I placed my order to finally getting it at 1:06. It was just a burger and fries is all I got.. fries were not even warm a little bit, manager gave me more fries that were a little warmer but still way under legal temps for food safety... I would of 100% refunded anyone who had to go through that at my business but it was not even offered. read more

This place is the cutest place ever! It's so little! I was not expecting the hospitality that we received as soon as we stepped in the door! The people here are so sweet. My husband and I are wedding photographers and are traveling to the wedding so we stopped in to feed our babies! We have tattoos and usually people are not too friendly at first. Especially in a small town like this. The people here have been so welcoming and so loving to us. The food is well priced and delicious! I love this place and I highly recommend it! read more

Under new ownership that has risen from the ashes . . . literally, Friendly staff, This is not fast food, it's cooked to order. You'll order at the counter then have a seat. Your waitress will bring it to you. Had the standard hamburger which has a half pound of meat. Great! Mom had the chicken tenders and thoroughly enjoyed'em. First time in I was impressed. Its small but also a small town. For the size it was very nice. Looks newly remodeled and they put in some high end rustic tables that make feel comfortable. Great little hidden gem. Was on a road trip to Florida with my wife, and we stopped in on a whim. Doesn't look like much on the outside, but feels cozy and inviting on the inside. Went for a private party that the owner was having for a Church Member. Menu was Fried Green Tomatoes for Appetizer. And Grilled Chicken, Green Beans and Potatoes for dinner. I consider myself an expert on good food.....these were the best Fried Green Tomatoes that I have ever had. Everything was good and the the staff was awesome. But, I'm telling you, these Fried Green Tomatoes are something special. Really quaint Country Place with great food and service. I'm surprised at some of the negative comments.... but notice that they pre-date the current ownership. read more

Just wanted a coffee top off on our way through GA to NC. Being very environmentally minded, we bring our own mugs everywhere we travel to fill up with coffee along the way and also try to stop at local coffee shops (and steer clear of chains). Unfortunately, coffee was not in the stars for us when stopped off at Church Street Coffee, because they would not fill up our to go mugs. Also, the place did not look, or have any features of, a true coffee shop and smelled of old grease when we walked in. Never have known a coffee shop to sell anything with grease in it. read more

The food is great, and the service is impeccable. The owner goes out of his way to make sure your experience is a good one. If you want "fancy", this is not the place to be.
