Was traveling south back home in Fla , got hungry so stopped and looked on yelp for bbq saw this place and their 100 health score , so I stopped and am I glad ordered a 2 meat plate with pork & ribs baked beans , fries they have 2 sauces a sweet & a mustard I got sweet then 2 brisket sandwiches . Got to the car smelled good so I tried the pork and ribs no sauce first that's how you taste the real meat flavor took some pork put some sauce on it then ate the rest of the plate with NO sauce. This is my second time eating at Sweet T Smokehouse. I ordered the two-meat combo (ribs and pulled pork) with Brunswick stew and turnips. The Good: Excellent pulled pork, tender ribs, and solid turnip greens with cornbread. I would eat both again. Their sweet bbq sauce is solid. The Average: The Brunswick stew was just ok. It lacked flavor and had to be doctored up. As well, the mustard sauce was nothing to write home about. I love good mustard sauce, and this was just run of the mill. Overall, I'll definitely eat here again, though I wish the prices were a little lower. $19 with tip was a little more than I want to pay for lunch. read more

I was in the area for business and was looking for a local place to kick back and relax and I found a wonderful spot!!!! I highly recommend this BBQ Restaurant and everything was wonderful. I had the smoked chicken which nice and moist and had a nice smoked flavor but not too heavy of smoke flavor but just the right amount to my liken!!! Oh the corn bread was awesome and want the maker to come home with me to cook for me , but no deal!!!! Highly recommended this place and the service was great and it is always nice to have some nice southern ladies serving me!!! Sweet T's greatest strength is their quick and friendly service. It took less than 10 minutes to receive my order. The pork I ordered had very nice flavor, however the toast of the sandwich failed to deliver any kind of crunch, making the sandwich one soft consistency. The tables are populated with only 2 sauces, and the french fries, which are standard for most orders, lack flavor. The flaws are not enough to wreck the experience, and overall I think Sweet T's is worth your time if you're looking to get decent barbecue quickly. read more

The mustardy sauce has a delicious kick after each taste. The sweet sauce is sweet without being sickening. Of course you must have the stores namesake to drink--sweet tea. If you have the opportunity to get off I95 and take old Hwy. 41, do it. You'll go through all these little towns with their own personalities. Anyway, we did jump off..around lunchtime and came in to the south end of Adel. It was a cute/rustic looking little restaurant with cars and trucks parked everywhere..alongside, in front, across the road. That fact alone told us to stop. When we stepped out of the car, we immediately smelled the smoker in the back of the restaurant..it was heavenly. Walking in, there was just one table left, lucky for us. AND, the place was filled with locals who could chose any place to eat lunch and chose this little place. We each ordered the pulled pork sandwich, although they have a good variety on their menu. Came with a beverage and fries for around $5.00, I think. The sandwich is served without sauce, which is the way I prefer it. But, they do make two sauces available to you for your food, a sweet, dark bbq and a zippy mustard-base sauce. We not only put them on the sandwich, but ended up dipping our fries in one or both. The staff was friendly and courteous and we loved our experience. I encourage you to give them a try. Lunch is only from 11-2, but on some days, they open again for supper. read more

Well been over a year since we are here, bad service last time, thought it was a fluke and didn't write a review... Well guess it wasn't a fluke... Beef sandwich was chopped beef and looked like it was burnt... No taste added BBQ sauce just to give it flavor... My son couldn't eat his and requested a hamburger (not a trade) but to be charged for a new burger.. Well still waiting on Hamburger (32 minutes)... 3 different waitress's ask if we needed anything told them MY SON's HAMBURGER.. Still no burger... Well when the next waitress asked I told her still waiting on the burger now for over 30 minutes... Same waitress we told three times ... She walked back to the kitchen and came back 5 minutes later with it... So 40 minutes to wait in a burger... And the other has a rating if 2.... This place always is packed ... Stopped on our way home from Key West. The food was really good. I was so full when I left! I would have liked to try a piece of the beautiful cake on the counter but I was too full. The service was fast and they filled our glasses several times even tho they were really busy. Wow!!! Absolutely great barbeque!!! Would definitely recommend this "off the main highway" restaurant. I had pulled pork and it was great. My husband had a sampler of BBQ pork, BBQ beef, chicken and ribs. All of that was wonderful. We could choose two sides with the dinner. The sides tasted great, but would have liked a bigger portion.( But I think we could have ordered a bigger portion.) We will most likely add this restaurant to our favorites. Worth the stop. My wife and I happened to stop off for the night in Adel, GA while traveling to NC. We searched for places to eat nearby and luckily found this place. We both had the pulled pork sandwiches (mine on Texas Toast and her's on a bun) with sweet potato fries. Anyway, we were both blown away at the taste of their food. These sandwiches were so delicious that we are making a stop there on the way home just so we can go back to Sweet T's. The pulled pork was juicy and perfectly seasoned along with their sweet sauce which was also just perfect. It wasn't too sweet or too exotic that it took away from the pork. It complemented it just perfectly. Long story short, you should not miss any opportunity to eat here. The outside and inside are nicely southern & modest, yet very clean. The people are some of the best that the south has to offer (polite, sweet and very helpful.) The young lady I spoke to on the phone was so sweet and patient when I needed directions. When we missed the place and called back one of the men that worked their came outside and waited next to the curb and waved so we would see him. I can't say enough positive things about.
