We ate here on a Sunday around 6:30pm in February and the place was nearly empty - there were only two other parties inside and one was just finishing and leaving. My son had the Scram Burger with onion rings and really liked it. My wife had the chicken tenders tossed in mild buffalo sauce with fries and enjoyed that as well. My Cow Tipper burger with fries was ok, but the patties are extremely thin even for smash burger style patties. My daughter ordered the Beef Tacos with a side Mac and cheese and it was not good. The middle of the Mac and cheese was still cold inside of the styrofoam cup and the small amount of crumbled hamburger meat on the two tacos was very dry. Service started out ok, but our waitress disappeared after dropping off the food and all you could hear were the teenage staff laughing and chatting in the back since there weren't other customers in the restaurant. I wanted like this place. We were greeted nicely and enjoyed some tea and other beverages. We ordered some wings as an app and some burgers. After about and hour of waiting a group of about 10 people sat down behind us. We had not seen out server in a while and we still had not received any food so my wife went to the bartender and asked her if she could let us know how long it would be. About a half hour later our wings came out. They were good, well dressed and moderately spicey. 3 minutes later our burgers came out. I got a burger with bacon, cheese, and an egg. It was obvious that the burger had been sitting because it was lukw warm. Also the egg was barely cooked. I don't mind and over easy egg but the whites should not be runny. My wife had a mushroom Swiss burger and it was luke warm as well but the biggest problem was that he fries were ice cold. We're no close to two hours I'm this establishment and the foodnwas substandard at best. Our server comes and my wife explains that the fries are cold and the burger was warm at best and that she does not and she does not want her order anymore. The server says ok and walks away. I assume the bartender is the manager because she comes to our table, does not introduce herself, and simply states, "there was and issue?" We try ti explain and she keeps cutting ua off. We says we waited over and hour and half doe our food and she said they had a big party and points to the table that came in after us. After an unproductive conversation she says she will "ring out" the mushroom Swiss burger and we can pay our bill and have a blessed day. Anyone know that in the south, this is a nice way of telling you to go, you know where. We were happy to end it there even though our food took forever and it was poorly cooked and slapped together. Instead the bartender/manager, I'm not sure who she was, reappears with the mushroom Swiss burger and says here you go. My wife had made it clear that she did not want it but the server said it's too late, we touched it. My wife was not happy and there was an angry exchange and several more "have a blessed day" statements. There was a slightly heated exchange between my wife and the server but we were frustrated from waiting, the lack of communication, and the condescending "have a blessed day" comments. She gave us out bill, another "have a blessed day" to which my wife responded "fyou" and i brought the bill to the bar to pay, which was not adjusted. As I walk up to the server/bartender/manager....I'm not sure. She says, do I need to call 911 or are we good. She said she was going to call 911 be cause my wife was creating a disturbance by yelling across the bar. I didn't mention thigh she was yelling as much as my wife but apparently the multiple "have a blessed day" statements are acceptable. I told her to call if she wanted, I don't care and just wanted to pay the bill and leave. We paid and walked out. She gave another "have a blessed day" on the way out It was obvious that she was trying to escalate the situation but we didn't bite. So we paid $89 for garbage food, condescending and passive aggressive treatment, and food we didn't eat. This young lady we interacted with needs training is customer service, conflict resolution, listening skills. Suffice the say, our experiance at Cow Tippers was one of rhe worst experiences at a restaurant I have ever had. Never again.......have a blessed day! read more

Really good fresh burgers!!! The atmosphere is great. They have TVs and a bar and the restaurant is a house that they transformed! It has a cute little patio and great friendly staff. She even added salt and she never does that's I got the garlic Buffalo wings. They also lacked flavor. Very bland actually. And there were 12 of them and the cost was $19.90!! Very disappointed in the quality of food! the appetizers were nasty the Fried pickles tasted like they were battered in straight salt and old oil and the chicken quesadilla was just chicken and tortillas, the chicken was dry and only brought out with ranch. They claimed that all their burgers are made with Certified Angus Beef, looked like complete dog water. the burgers were super dry and the quality was not there, not to mention they looked burnt. Pretty cool place to go for happy hour (4-7pm). They have trivia night on Thursdays, which is pretty fun and cool when everyone plays fair and doesn't cheat. They have a good selection of beers and alcohol. Staff is friendly and Jason, one of the owners, was so nice and hospitable. I've only had the fried pickles, which were alright, and their lava cake, which was more like a cake with chocolate syrup drizzled on top. We are from out of state but look forward to visiting again when we are back in Douglas next year. read more

Rolled into town at 9 and I was hungry. Hit up yelp like always and found cow tippers it looked like my kind of joint so I rolled out. I got there at 9:30 and they closed at 10 but they didn't even look at me funny. Took a seat at the bar the bartender came right over took my drink order and gave me a menu. I decided on the chicken wings with onion rings. My meal came out in short order and was just right. The bartender was attentive without sweating me. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted good. All was great the atmosphere was right, live music that was t too loud, the manager or owner came out and talked with me some, enough to show interest without keeping me from eating. Service is liken to most places with any wait staff in this town, in that, in my opinion, which I compare to service as it should be and as it is in Charleston, SC or other well known towns that have normal to fine dining establishments with servers who know what their doing, lacks a bit here in this small town. Servers do not always check back on tables after serving entree's to make sure all is well or give refills when needed, but you can pretty easily flag them down if you need something else, for the most part. I would recommend trying and you never know, service may be improved or you might end up with a better waiter/waitress, but all in all you can fill your belly and have a drink at the bar and/or enjoy eating out on the deck. it can get a little loud inside too when they are at capicity because its a smaller place, but it has southern charm and in the south that counts for a lot. read more
