George and Niamh were my dentists and they saved my teeth, haven't had any pain ever since my treatment and they were so comforting and lovely. George answered all my questions in depth and Niamh always made me laugh when I got breaks if I was in pain. This was my doctor's surgery all my life before moving out of the area. I suppose that will happen if you're a non-hypocohondriac and therefore don't really get the chance to build the same rapport with another. You need to call early for an appointment - they are always full to capacity. And it is sensible to set off early to secure a parking space. Within the last couple of years, the pharmacy inside has become a Boots branch and they have introduced a computerised check-in system. The waiting room has always been a fairly pleasant place, with obvious care and attention put into the noticeboards around the edges. Who said you need magazines for interesting reading material? Although these are usually available too!

I once went to a dentist that was in a basement and I was truly terrified so the bright and clean dentists on street lane put me right at ease. The waiting area is comfortable, stylish and really tidy; there is also a bathroom that is so luxurious it should be in a beauty spa. I only had a routine check up and thankfully no nasty work was needed. The dentist was really sweet and suggested I start using sensitive toothpaste as gave me some samples to try. I have found practically all other dentist's scary; this one however is warm and friendly.

I managed to get a same day emergency appointment here, with David Blaine (ok, David Blaen, but it's pronounced the same, which is awesome for he is indeed magical), for £56, and after discussing my options I decided to have the tooth out. For which there was no extra charge! All very quick and more importantly, pain and stress-free. I can't recommend Dr Blaen enough. He is a dude. He is private though, not NHS, but he's worth it. He also has a mega beard.
