The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. They had Yasmin, Merrick, Zach, and Michael when I asked what the sides were and they told me they had cooked it. Fresh and hot. The chicken was delicious and the staff is very friendly. I believe people that get the bad reviews are going through the line and they're having to wait. Remember this is Odessa if you go out at lunchtime and you're going through a drive-through you ain't gonna have it in two minutes it does take a while when you're going through the drive-through but if you don't like going through the drive-through, then go somewhere else. The people inside cannot control how fast the drive-through goes. And if you've ever worked fast food, you know that that's true. read more

The churches on Andrews and 38th in Odessa tax is horrible the food took 45 mins the personnel was past rude including the manager he told us to sit down because we had a complaint the food was ice cold when we got it I do not recommend this place go to 8th street in Odessa if you want churches chicken read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. I drove across town just to get some Church's Chicken. I get back to my office and the tenders were dry, old and burnt. I also asked for white gravy they gave me brown gravy that didn't taste right either. The biscuit was very small and was hard as a rock, like when you leave bread sitting out for a long time. They say they start closing at 8pm but we tried to pick up an order that was placed at 7:45 and all they would tell us is no sorry we close at 8, yes you should START closing at 8, that doesn't mean you walk out the door at 8. read more

This wasn't a pleasant drive thru experience the drive thru person didn't even greet the customer just said "yes order when your ready" and i felt very rushed, and kept on repeating the word "anything else". And as i pulled up to pay the cashier didn't even tell me the total of my food just stuck out there hand and quickly shut the drive thru window and then to make it worse as i got home i was ready to enjoy my meal as i bit into the chicken it was mushy and it was still RAW!! how can they treat there customers that way they just didn't care, will not be returning ever again!!! read more

Went there today and got my chicken and drink... Get back to work to eat it and open the box to find crumbles for a biscuit... No napkins, no spoon or fork for the mash patatoes... Restaurants seemed to not want to give out these things... Don't think napkins and forks need to be asked for.. ketchup and salt and pepper different story...... Felt very rushed in ordering.... Went to eat dinner with my wife and kids here last night and the food was semi fresh... chicken was good but everything else (okra, Mac n cheese and biscuits) was stale/old. Really not worth going back to deal with another rude ass lady at the front that seems on the verge of yelling at the next customer for wanting certain things. Nowhere on the menu does it say that the 10 piece chicken comes with mashed potatoes and cole slaw, rather it says it comes with 2 sides and next to the chicken menu is the side menu but when I proceeded to request sides she informed me that it comes with potatoes and Cole slaw....uhhhh NO IT DOESNT, it comes with what sides I want. So as if it killed her so much to reach in the heater and grab a different container she gave me potatoes and coleslaw and slid it into my bag. After I left the front desk and pulled the food out of the bag I realized she made a mistake so I took the sides back and with a deep sigh and 5 seconds worth of work she replaced my sides with what I originally ordered...smh. First of all they were playing so loud rap music that played the whole time we were dining. The guy wasn't very helpful when ordering. After a long time our order was ready it was a dine in order which we specified. It was in a to go bag. I ordered a chicken breast and was charged the extra .70 to get it which was fine. When I opened up the box it was a tigh. I took it back up there and they didn't call me forward, there was 3 people in line to order so I had to wait in line while my friend was eating and finished by the time I got waited on. They filled all the orders before going to the next person. So by the time I got to the counter she said they didn't have any more breast. I said okay then I guess I need a refund. They charged me for a thigh $1.29 plus .70 because i ordered a breast. She gave me back $1.29. I said no it was $1.99 because he added .70 for the breast, she said no that was for the sandwhich meal I said no it was extra for a breast, my change should be 1.99 plus tax. She gave me 1.99. Not concerned in the least or try to do something to make a customer happy or satisfied. I have never ate at churchs because my family has always gone to Kentucky. My friend wanted church's so I said I would give it a shot. I will never refer anyone to church's or attempt to go back to one the way the employees were, the horrible music and the way my business was handled as not important. Went back a second time, ordered a 10 piece mix of dark and white had to pay extra for the white meat. Got home not one piece of white meat. Plus some of the chicken wasn't even all the way cooked. Ordered the meal and they didn't even give any silverware to eat with. Had taken it to work and didn't have a way to eat the sides. The spicy chicken is awesome. I ate at Bushs chicken the other day, and the roaches drove me away. I hadn't eaten at Churchs for awhile. Churchs has definetely improved, way better than bushs chicken. Next going to try KFC, again. I used to be a loyal bushs chicken fan. read more
