What a great experience. Went for lunch and the food was amazing. There is so much to choose from. The salad bar was huge and with everything looking so good it was hard not to taste a bit of everything. The service was excellent. The staff was always making sure that I had what I liked. My favorite cut of beef was the skirt steak. It had a great flavor and was very tender. I would return.

    Garlic shrimp? / bouillabaisse(excellent!)

Look they even have a sushi station with the salmon slabs cut infront of you while they make the sushi. They also have fresh and I mean fresh oysters. In these places, the buffet is typically exceptional and this lives up to expectation as for the meats I have zero complaints all great. It's hard to dissect every cut but even if you are a vegetarian you'll have plenty of options here. Special mention however to both lamb with the mint Jelly and the Amazon white fish. Why 4 stars - the space is awkward and that takes away from the presentation and there is a distinct pause between rounds of meat when they come. It's a long wait till the next round.

Two words: MEAT SWEATS! I had never experienced this culinary physical sensation before, until I dined at the Churrascaria Palace. My travel companions and I ate at a few Brazilian steakhouses while in Rio de Janeiro (when in "Rome" am I right?) - and Churrascaria was absolutely the best. The interior actually did have a palatial style, with cream colored leather booths, walls of wine, wood features, and lots of natural light. There were also some more casual elements, like paintings of famous diners who had eaten there and murals of Brazilian trees etched into the walls of the buffet. Now, on to the food - it was fantastic! You will definitely not leave hungry at all, because the gauchos (the servers who bring around the skewers and platters of meat) were not in short supply. We barely got one piece of meat from a server, when another one popped up right behind them with another cut of meat. The meat itself was such high quality. We didn't get one piece of meat that was cold, stringy, overly-chewy, or anything negative at all. It's very obvious that they source only the finest meats. They also had a salad bar for a little bit of lighter fare. It had a lot of different salads, sides, dressings, and even a few pieces of meat there too, like deli slices along with cheese you could grab. With the great service, wonderful quality and quantity of meats, and the fun atmosphere, you would think this would cost an arm and a leg for all you can eat meat and sides, but it's actually also very affordable when compared to our Brazilian steakhouses in the US. We paid only about $40 USD per person! If you are in Rio and want to try a true Brazilian steakhouse at a fraction of the price you find in the US, definitely give Churrascaria Palace a try.

All you can eat steak house. It was a lot like the ones you would find in the United States. Looks very fancy inside. The knifes need to be sharper to cut certain meats. You buy your own drinks and desserts. The service was amazing the staff was always around constantly checking on us at the table. The food was alright not amazing but there was one or two cuts of steak I did like. The fish my colleague had said was not good at all. Walking distance from sugar loaf and the beach. Price was about $65 US dollars.

My cousin had made reservations for us to have lunch at Churrascaria Palace after we visited Christ the Redeemer and right before we were gonna go up Sugarloaf Mountain. All the makings for a great day out in Rio! Since we had a reservation we had no issues getting a table (duh!). But surprisingly the place had a good amount of diners at 2PM on a Monday. I imagine it can get pretty busy during peak hours. The meats that stand out in my mind are: lamb with mint jelly (an amazing pairing), beef ribs (SO tender and rich...almost TOO rich), and the fish. The lamb had that distinct taste so that you know it's lamb. It was kind of earthy and kind of gamey, but in a good way. The mint jelly complemented the lamb perfectly with its freshness. I opted to have the lamb 3 times during my dining experience. Beef ribs have got to be one of my favorite cuts at rodizio and the beef ribs at Churrascaria Palace lived up to that reputation. They were amazingly tender and the right amount of salty. That saltiness really cut the fatty flavor but that fat just makes the meat taste oh-so rich. The fish was really good (not better than picanha or skirt steak though) and that stood out to me because I don't think I've ever had fish at rodizio before. It was cooked really well and the meat was nice and thick. It really felt like I was eating a steak of fish. I usually like my fish to be a little flaky but this one was dense. I liked it. There are plenty of other meats going around and they were all cooked perfectly. My dining party each ordered a dessert and they were all delicious. I don't think you can go wrong with anything here. Truthfully, I wish I had gotten more from the buffet. However there was enough meat going around that I was absolutely STUFFED without having to get up. I'm sure this review is colored by my experiences before and after the restaurant, but isn't that what dining on vacation is about? I would love to go back to Churrascaria Palace.

This is an all you can eat Brazilian style steakhouse. There is a self-serve salad bar that offers different salads, vegetables, soup, fruits, shrimps, oysters, sushi and many more things to choose from. While you are eating, someone goes from table to table with different kind of meat. You can have as much as you want. There are different cuts of beef, and lamb, chicken, ribs, sausages. There is so much food that one cannot taste everything being offered. Everything I tasted was excellent.

Our guided tour's farewell dinner was here. Our group of 34 were in seated in one of the private dining rooms. I've eaten at Brazilian churrascarias in the Bay Area but this was my first in Brazil. I had high expectations. To be honest I thought ones at home were better. A bowl of warm cheese balls were brought to our table. Very good. That and my dish of ice cream for dessert was what I liked most about dinner. The usual protocol is to start with the salad bar. This was the case here. Also there was a Brazilian sushi chef. Various sushi rolls, hand rolls, and a little sashimi. Needless to say I had too much sushi. While I'm still working on my plate, they start with the various meats including a sausage and a huge fried fish ball. Everything was salty. Unlike at home where you have the coaster - green for go, red for stop, the meat came coming. I didn't eat much meat as my 20 minutes came sooner than later. I'm full. I kept pushing the meat to the side. No beef hearts. Only chicken. And salty. My suggestion is to eat very little from the salad bar so you'll have room for the meats. Somewhat disappointing overall experience.

Nice selection but some of the different or premium cuts that they adversed were request only and took forever to get. The seafood soup on the buffet was amazing, which was the only thing I ate on the buffet because I was there for the meat.

Located near Copacabana beach this churrascaria got my attention for their excellent reviews on Yelp. We visited around 4pm with no reversation. The place was almost empty due to the odd timing for dinner. The interior was nice, clean, and cool with air conditioning. The service was top notch with used plates replaced with clean ones constantly. The food was excellent. If you like meat this is the place for you. The only reason for the 4 star rating, not five star, is due to the pricing. It is expensive but definitely worth a visit.

Great service. Old style steak house ambiance minus the white table cloth. The place was packed and the hostess was kind enough to find a table for one. Noticed a lot of tourists like myself and even a large tour group. Salad bar was ok. Wide sampling of cuts. They had pork, chicken and fish as well. Giving 4 stars primarily on service. Being from Texas, I'm spoiled on really good quality of beef.

Great seafood options at the salad bar.

Best tip is to arrive early for dinner (before 6:30 pm) and get a table in the back. That's where all the carvers come out of the kitchen. I thought they had a great selection of meats. I also enjoyed the salad bar, which has everything you could imagine. I was especially pleased with the sushi, sashimi, and oysters and the half shell. That's not something I usually find in these kind of restaurants. The cost for the experience is high, but it is good value for money.

Came here early Sunday night while on vacation. I'm Brazil. Place was recommended by a tour guide and a couple of people on this tour. We made reservations and was going to change it for layers, but there was nothing available. We got there and were seated immediately in the back room. The waiter explained the concept and process and took our drink orders. We tried a few things on the buffet and had no complaints about the selections. Service was really good, and the waiters 6 by frequently with a great selection of meat and seafood. Ambiance, typically strsl house, white table cloth atmosphere

Great food and service. Just wish they had a grilled veggie like asparagus or something other than a salad.

There is a swimming pool outside, that I am not sure what it's connected to, so that was odd. They did have the normal steakhouse Gauchos walking around with spokes of meats and food, and there were some side items in the middle of each table to share among the diners. Aside from the ambiance not being as upscale as other steakhouses we tried in Rio, the quality of meats also wasn't quite as top notch as the others either. Some were pretty fatty and others were sort of flavorless. I apologize sort of for comparing this to other highly acclaimed Brazilian Steakhouses, but it's hard to be impressed with Cruzeiro do Sol after trying those others.
