As we rolled our luggage on the cobblestone paths of central Sitges, we spotted this modest looking Italian restaurant who were still serving lunch under umbrellas in the alley. We could tell it was a spot targeted to the locals, but we were pleased they had menus in English. We kept it pretty light and fortunately made fine choices on the three dishes we ordered. The burrata was a tad refrigerated but still creamy. Our next dish was the thinly sliced and nicely prepared 12€ Eggplant Carpaccio. They have a really great menu for tomorrow but we ordered for their regular set menu and shared the starters. We started with the mussels, carpaccio and oysters (had an up charge), liked them all but probably would not get the oysters again. The mussels were plentiful and the carpaccio had Parmesan cheese sprinkled on. The steak was okay, the salmon was outstanding and perfectly cooked! I always worry going out that it will be overdone and dry but this was perfection!! The lobster rice was delicious. Lobster was over cooked but the rice was good. Glad we shared! We liked it because it appeared to be a lot of comfort food stews and fresh produce plates. There was a table for two available, so we grabbed it. This new charming Mexican styled restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Sabadell, just by the Ferrocarriles Catalanes (train station), so it is very accessible. It is a fun, affordable place to be open minded about different flavor. OK, do not expect fish tacos, you tourists! Get used to Mex-Catalan fusion. The waiter told us the chef is the real Mex deal. And I don't doubt it, even though i would not have complained if food was spicier. San Diego got me fully Mexicanized.
