Read the fine print of the agreement before signing. They want you to sign away ANY liability claims even if - and it actually states - they make a mistake. I'm sure the record speaks for itself - but I couldn't just sign that over. When I asked about it, the attendant said "that's just language our lawyer wrote up". Really?!? In the case of an actual lawsuit I doubt that would hold up in court. The driver (who was at the window) then stated "hey, you sign all kinds of things with Apple every day". Not that put me and my loved ones 300 feet in the air suspended by a rope! I'm sure this is ok for most people - and that's fine. I find the legal risk too great so we declined. That's when it got ugly. After we decided to cancel because of that clause, they still wanted to charge us. "The cancelation window is two hours before your departure" she said. Yes, that makes sense - but this was the first time I saw the agreement - ITS NOT POSTED ONLINE. They should have a version of the agreement that is available online for people to review before making a reservation! After I communicated that that's not my problem - it's theirs - That I didn't feel comfortable signing that line and I had no notice in advance. I argued that the fault was theirs if they lose money and aren't able to fill that spot because they weren't forthcoming with their agreement prior to booking. The receptionist at that point said "I'm done talking with you sir - you're causing a disturbance." I grabbed the agreement and went back to my table to begin the dispute process with the bank in case they decided to charge the card. At that point, an older lady who had stood by mostly silent came by and notified us that they would not charge the card and that we were free to leave. (I believe she may have been the owner). Look, I'm sure this company serves safe thrills all day long - but their customer service in the event that you aren't a happy go lucky rider leaves something to be desired. Furthermore - that language may be normal in many cases of small business - but I fly across the country often and don't sign my right to sue the airliner away ever. Bottom line - if you want to take a risk and trust them with your life - then go for it. If something goes wrong - your family will have a difficult time arguing why you signed the dotted line. read more

This was a lot of fun, and the boat Captain was hilarious. They will not let you have your phone on board to take pictures. They really want to sell the $35 photo package to you. If it wasn't for that they would have gotten 5 stars. read more

These people do not honor coupons that they had on website. The girls that answer the phone are very rude and acted as if they had known nothing about coupon from website. Taking advantage of kids to make a buck is ruthless . We live in the area and send many people to them. I do not recommend this company due to the rude office staff. They were so great with both of our girls for their first parasailing adventure. The picture package is definitely worth it as they get some really good shots that you can't get from the seats in the front of the boat. We went just before sunset which was a perfect time -- not too hot and beautiful views from the boat. read more

Absolutely LOVED IT!! It was my husband, 9 year old daughter and 5 year old sons first time to parasail. The crew did an amazing job of keeping them safe and ensuring they had the time of their lives. Definitely worth paying the extra $35 for the photo package. They took over 100 pictures and then gave us the USD card at the end. The pictures turned out amazing!! I will post some to their page. Highly recommend them!! read more

My family and I were on vacation and dying of boredom, so we decided to go parasailing. At first my expectations weren't that high but after doing it I want to go 100 more times. Our "boat assistant", Giovanni, was hilarious the entire time and made the experience way more enjoyable. Of course I can't forget about our captain, Hunter. If you don't like getting your hair wet, but still want to ride the boat, there is an option to ride the boat but not parasail. Overall I would definitely recommend this if you are on vacation and in the area. read more

This was a definite puke fest.if you are over 50 and do bad on boats DO NOT RIDE IT IS ROUGH!!the people should not have brought 2 people well over 60 on the boat knowing that the waves were in the conditions they were. this is also not a good first time parasailing trip. it is two times higher than a regular parasail.so would not recommend for first time users or if you have motion sickness. read more

We had a great time parasailing with Josh and Rudi today. They were funny and worked well with the young riders. We bought the picture package and it was well worth the money. Ended up with 129 pictures on a sd card and only two of them were blurry. Even though you sign up as an observer, trust me, you quickly become a participant as the waves fly over the bow. Loved it! Took the kids (13 and 15) to check off a bucket list item. I'm not a fan of heights and thought it would be scary, but it was actually relaxing. A very smooth takeoff from the boat and slow climb into the sky. It was so quiet and peaceful floating over the ocean and the view was amazing. Our family of three (with a teenager) tried this yesterday and had a blast! The two-person crew taking us out were nice, and I totally felt safe with them! As first time parasailers, I did not know what to expect. The boat was very clean and comfortable, and the parasailing experience was serene and memorable. We paid for the picture package and very pleased. They took lots of pictures for us and gave us a memory card with all the pictures. First timer here!! This was a great experience! You can choose to parasail, or ride in the boat as an observer. There are extra fees included if you are using a credit card so save some dough by bringing cash. Also, don't forget to tip the crew! Our boat played some fun music while we were out. We found the staff at Chute for the Skye very personable and professional. Parasailing is a fun sport, but not one to be taken lightly or without care. Capt. We had made reservations for 11:30 AM for a group of 11 people. They called us at 10:30 AM and told us the weather was bad, but the woman on the phone wasn't exactly nice. She rescheduled us at 5:30 PM that same afternoon. We spent the entire remainder of the day waiting for 5:00 to roll around. We arrived at the establishment to find out that they had closed for the day, without calling us! The woman at the check-in window said that "it was too windy when they shut down" (at 4 PM) but it was no longer windy when we arrived. She was very rude and never gave us a real answer as to why we could not go parasailing. We decided to take our $600+ elsewhere, as well as all of the additional costs. Terrible. Our neighbors at our beach house had even warned us about their rude customer service. We should have taken the advice! read more

Great time, but disappointed in scheduler. I called yesterday to book specifically with Brandon (as he was so helpful when I stopped by the day prior to ask questions), only to arrive and be told by the lady at the window that it's his day off...when I mentioned that I specifically requested to be on Brandon's vessel, she said "I know you did", and that was it....no apology etc. Thankfully for our group of 8 (6 were first-timers), Rudy and his co-worker (I forgot his name) were great...they were professional, fun, polite and quickly put us at ease. The boat is VERY clean and nice, which also eases fear. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience; unbelievably beautiful, peaceful and exciting! Thank you guys for a great trip! read more

From the very moment I called to book our trip out I could tell they were very nice people. We got caught up in traffic on the way there. We texted them and told them we'd be late and that we'd go on the next trip. They said they were waiting on us. The crew was cool and very knowledgeable. This was the second best experience my daughter and I had together while in GSA. The boat crew were professional, polite and cool guys. They ensured that everyone was comfortable with all aspects of the trip. They made the 400 feet seem like a walk in the park. Also the staff at the front desk we very nice as well as professional. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is the guy that gave us a ride from our car to the dock "termite" (hand to Jesus that's what he said ) wasn't able to give me the story about his name!! Kids and wife got too much sun during our stay in Gulf Shores. My wife actually had sun poisoning. The company refused to refund our funds for the. I booked online months ago and they stated if we had called and booked our trip they could have worked with us. We actually reschedule twice during the week trying to get the trip in while there, but just couldn't do it with sick kids. I never had an issue with the prior owners of the company... SJ was awesome. The new company wouldn't bend on their "policy" and even do a partial refund. We go to Gulf Shores every year and I will NEVER use Chute for the Sky again. read more

The staff at Chute for the Sky parasailing were very friendly. The boat left on time and the driver and first mate were very knowledgeable and told us what we needed to do to have a safe trip. We had them take pictures of us so we would have a memory of our trip and he did a great job of capturing our facial expressions. The main reason why I am giving 2 stars is because the person said I could not take my camera on the boat. I paid for the camera package after however I wanted photos of when I was up in the air and was not able to take any. I wish she would have said if you also buy the photo package you can take your camera on the boat. (For 240.00 and only a half our trip because many were triples was way fast maybe an extra quick ride in the boat or something because of they were all doubles it would have taken longer) The driver and helper of the boat did a very good job but was a little chilly to be dunked so we didn't get dunked. Was excited to parasail on our vacation. Went on the website and found a rate of $50 per person. When I went to book- it tried to charge $60 per person. I called the number to book instead of simply wasting $10 per person. Spoke to someone with an accent so thick I couldn't understand them. Got frustrated and advised I would be leaving this review. Received a call back from mr Collins who made me feel like a liar. Stated he was looking at the website himself and didn't see it- despite my explicit instructions on what I did to get there. Only offered to honor the price after receiving screen shots of the price. Deceptive advertising and rude management!!! Booked with another company and will be leaving them a glowing review when I am done here. read more

BEWARE THIS COMPANY!! I normally do not leave reviews, but wanted to hopefully save someone some time and frustration. My brother called in to setup a parasailing ride for two. He was confused in the wording for pricing and thought it was the same price to send up two or three people. After arriving and I saw the price for three, I let the young lady working that only two people would be going up..still $140+ the price of photos. She told me the policy was set in stone, but I could call the office. While on the phone with them, the boat left without me! I was told that under no circumstances would the third riders cost be refunded since they had already reserved a seat on the already extremely full boat for me..the person I spoke with also said it is their policy to never tell the customer the total cost when they call in, she agreed with me that this is a shady way of doing business..there are too many other honest companies around to have to deal with rude and dishonest people. I hope the extra $70 was worth it to them! read more
