Great vegetarian options. Took a break from Pasta and Pizza. A great restaurant for good Chinese foods. Friendly server.

November 9th, 2024 8:45PM…read more Wow, if it's good enough for Zhang Ziyi, it's good enough for me. After a week in Florence, our first meal back in Rome was definitely feeling rice-y. This place was nearby the hotel we were staying at and the pictures looked so good. Well, it was very tasty, one of my favorite Chinese food, they did such a good job with all the items we ordered. Hot and sour soup - on point, we got a small one to share between the two of us, lots of ingredients and super delicious. We ordered a pork belly stew pot, fried rice, fried pork intestines with green onions, grilled beef skewers, and stir fry water grass. Everything was what you'd imagined you'd get in Asia... When we got here late evening, it was nice to see many Asian customers dining in. Definitely a really nice spot for Chinese food if you want to switch it up after many days of pastas!

Service was great, they work so hard! I got the braised tofu with steamed rice. It was delicious. Many seating available. Cozy environment. Looks like there were celebrities that had dined in, in the past. They had photos of them up everywhere. Overall great experience. If you're craving Chinese food, give it a try! Definitely recommend :)

Second night to eat dinner here. But I have to tell you a funny story…read more When we entered, we asked for a table for two. The lady tried to put us at a table for two right by the front entrance. I asked her, "I'd like a table in the back please?" She turned and looked at me with the Evil Eye. Like the mother-in-law who can't stand you but puts up with you. She acquiesced and put us at a table in the back. Ordered spring rolls (2 per order) and pork shu mai (4 pieces) as appetizers. Spring rolls were vegetarian, nice and crispy with a decent amount of cabbage filling. Shu mai were good considering they tasted like the frozen variety. You need some soy sauce and chili oil for dipping. I couldn't find a shrimp dish I liked so I just went for shrimp fried rice instead of white rice. Caution, there were three whole shrimp cut in half in the dish so don't expect much shrimp in your fried rice. For dinner, I stayed with the Hot and Sour Pork and Sauteed Bean Sprouts for a veggie side dish. We tried their Rice Noodles with Beef, similar to Beef Chow Fun, but with thinner rice noodles. Again, three pieces of flank steak beef in the entire dish. Not too bad. It was tasty and not too greasy. We finished with a Lemon Sorbet. A premade frozen lemon filled with lemon sorbet capped by the lemon top. We could see the server take it from a plastic bag out of the freezer. A unique looking dessert...i liked it frozen. It was refreshing. So I return to the seating. I don't like to sit near the front door. I'm a bit superstitious and like to sit somewhere where I can watch the front door and see who walks in. This time, I got a healthy dose of side eye with my Chinese food!

When in Rome, eat as the Romans do. Chinese food is obviously the first thing that comed to mind…read more Just kidding, but it was one of the first things we stumbled upon shortly after we realized we were starving and it was time for lunch. They close lunch service at 3, and we walked in around 2pm. We were seated immediately, amidst many Italian speaking patrons. My father and I ordered a beer to share for 2.80€, while my mother ordered a pot of green tea. My sister went cheap and stuck to the accidental bottle of sparkling water my father bought that morning. The food was average, if not below average. Of all the chinese restaurants we had eaten at in Italy, this was definitely not the best and possibly the worst. We ordered the soft fried noodles, seasonal vegetables, tofu shrimp, pork spare ribs and hot pork with Zha Cai. If the dishes didn't meet par, they were definitely sub-par. The dishes were a little overly salty, which made us crave either water or white rice. A bowl of steamed rice costs 2€, which held us back from wanting to order it excessively. For some reason, they also forgot about our order of hot pork with Zha Cai. We were almost full already at this point, so we almost asked them not to bring it out anymore. In the end, we still asked for it, as well as an extra bowl of rice. Overall, it satisfied our hunger and our brief Chinese cravings, but I wish we had spent our time and money on something strictly "Roman," and not on lackluster Chinese cuisine.

We didn't find it spicy at all, though we ordered it. - "Tie ban rou" was made with too many preserved ingredients, giving it a sour taste. - "Ma la dou fu" was made in a weird way, with a sweet sauce (I guess the one used for sweet and sour chicken) and added some (very little) peppers to it. again missing minced meat. We wouldn't come here again.

So we picked this place. And I kid you not... It is literally the BEST Chinese food I think we've ever eaten. I lived in Spain. And Chinese food outside of America is very different. AND my husband is "Mr. Picky McPick!" I did not take BEFORE pictures UGH! because we just whomped it down! So my pictures are if half eaten food ! Sorry! The hot and sour soup was top-notch. It was a different heat. Not white pepper like I'm used to. It was definitely chili peppers. But it was still absolutely fantastic. We got the hot and spicy fried rice, which was beyond delicious. We got their Kung pow chicken... Which was different than American Kung pao chicken... But still fantastic! And we got the sweet-and-sour chicken... Which was also different than American sweet-and-sour chicken. But I'm telling you, we ate every last drop of everything. I should've taken pictures of the empty plate. Ify thought it was within etiquette rules. I would've literally licked the plates. We've been in Europe for two weeks and this was definitely one of the top five meals we've had! If you are hankering for Chinese food and you are an American, I cannot recommend this place enough!

We ordered the duck with orange sauce, shrimp fried rice, lightly fried dumplings, fried pork ribs, and the steamed fish, basically a whole feast. Everything was amazing! The food came out fast, except for the fish, which takes about 30-40 minutes to cook, so definitely order that early. Prices were super reasonable, portions were generous, and the service was really friendly. It was a beautiful night, so we sat outside and just enjoyed it all. Overall, this spot was such a nice break from all the (delicious) pasta around the city. We spent about what we would on a typical Roman meal but got way more food. Highly recommend if you're craving something different while in Rome!

The menu is a little bit hard to navigate because the English wasn't really showing English, but there were lots of images to reference. Although it seems like a Japanese all-you-can-eat restaurant, they actually have a lot of various Asian cuisines like Thai and Chinese influences in their menu. I think my favorite were the rolls, but they were also the most pricey for only four pieces per order. The best bang for your buck is the fried rice for around five euros for a whole plate. Our waiter was also really nice and attentive. We ordered: Chicken Fried Rice - This was okay, a bit soft but eatable. I've had better fried rice in NY, so it wasn't comparable to Japanese fried rice I've had in the past. Chicken & Vegetables - This was a stir fry of veggies & chicken but it tasted like they added curry powder in it, which was extremely off-putting. I think they should just stir fry it in brown sauce/ teriyaki sauce. Avocado & Cucumber Roll - Pretty good. I would order it again. Cooked Salmon Roll -This was also really good. I wouldn't go back for the fried rice or chicken & vegetables but the sushi wasn't bad.
