We looked at what you bought this person said to her!We can see where you spend your money you know! Oh my goodness a shirt for a birthday gift to our son was being commented on and called frivolous when we complained about their excessive bank fees. Thirty years as customers and we are closing all accounts and also all the insurance policies we pay through them now asap. My wife was humiliated and left in tears. It's bad enough Banks charge such cash grabs but to be spoken down to if you dare raise concerns is disgusting. Chelsea is the name of the person she was spoken to at orchard park branch. Has this branch not heard pf customer service? How about politely saying no sorry we are unable to help rather than humiliating a customer and chastising them calling their gift purchase pf a shirt that was made AFTER said fees were cleared and paid within 24 hrs btw ??? Went to the bank yesterday to purchase Euros and Pounds. Was told they were out of Euros until…read moretomorrow and there was no purchasing them now and simply picking them up later. While I was there someone else had the same experience. We simply had to 'get there early' as they only get 3000-4000 Euros per day. I have a bank account here and I can't purchase them now and have them hold them when they come in?? Money mart (whose rate was almost the same) held it for me, just over the phone, no payment needed! Follow up with them the next day. I enter the bank and they have a line up to the door (6 people) but only one teller working. After waiting in line for 10 minutes two other employees come to help (now the line is 12 people), but they can only tell you to move the line towards the back of the office to make space for other people, or re-direct you to the automated teller. When I finally get asked if they can help me, they tell me they have no Euros. As it was the same teller as yesterday I say, but you told me yesterday that you would be getting more in today. To which he replies, 'oh yeah, we do have some'. Then they require me to do part of the transaction at the automated teller before they are able to sell me a couple hundred Euros. Total time spent in the bank 27 minutes. By the time I left there was a line up of 15 people---oh yeah, and still only one proper teller. They have signs everywhere saying that we may be asked for a review. I checked with the teller to ensure they have my correct email address for the review, only to be told, it is random and they have no control. Scotia bank -- here is your review!!
