I had a really disappointing experience here. When I called about my account, the lady on the phone talked over me and didn't seem interested in helping. They confirmed that my phone number wasn't linked to my account but completely ignored that issue. I also asked about getting an extra small cone for my pet, and they basically told me I was out of luck with no other options after I had previously purchased one from them. The staff came off as unhelpful and dismissive. The customer service definitely needs improvement. read more

Our pup was treated so kindly at this animal hospital. The waiting area was outside in front and side of the building. We didn't wait long for our appointment and the staff answered all our questions. Our dog was able to get all his shots up to date and the check-up went well. They have paved sidewalks for those customers in walking distance. Overall it was a pleasant visit. read more

Please be advised. The please call check in number just rings. I sat right in front of the establishment in which they had 3 ladies behind the desk. I finally decided to walk in and check in, since they refused to answer the phone after calling twice. We waited in the car over 40min until someone came out to address our concerns. Princess was successfully spayed this Saturday , she was defiantly participating accordingly on 4/20 haha. Staff was patient , and communicated great always in a timely manner. Two days later on Monday they reached out to see how she is doing . Very please by that , showing they actually care . Happy normal dog again. Will be going back with any future needs . read more

As mentioned in my previous review I was charged $38 for a nail trim on Aug 12 that took less than 5 minutes. Yesterday (9 days later) I took Lucky 2 to another vet who also trimmed his nails and the front paws had VERY long nails. Sooo in addition to being overcharged for "brief exam-tech exam and nail trim", the tech didn't even trim Lucky 2's front paws. Plus, every time I try to speak to the office manager, she is not in the office. Terrible business that I will NEVER visit again!!! read more

Compassionate, caring, amazing people at Cibolo small animal hospital. Being military and moved around a lot. This place is by far the best experience we have ever had. They have seen our fur babies for various things having 7 dogs go through CSAH. Almost 10 years we have been here. The most recent on 4/14/23, our 9 month old puppy had to have surgery for her adventures and love of eating things. We all always recommend them to any one asking. Although the vet clinic is in a strip mall, don't let it fool you. They are a full service vet and have always been very reasonable with their pricing. The vets are very good and speak in plain enabling. I never appreciate vets who seem to pressure you into high priced treatments. These guys have always explained the necessity of the treatment and the options for more or less (if possible). I will take all my animals there from now on. Keep up the good work! read more

If I could give them a lower rating I would. My small dog was attacked by another dog so we took him to this office because our dog was bleeding & this office was closer than our regular veterinarian. We felt it was an emergency, we could see the puncture wound on his side. When we drove up a nurse was about to check the mail outside the office. We asked if our dog could be seen because he was bleeding and did not know the severity of his injuries. She said, "Let be check with the vet." She proceed to the mailbox to retrieve the mail then when inside to ask the veterinarian if she/he would see our dog. She apologized that the vet would not see our dog because they closed at 5:30. IT WAS LITERALLY 5:31!! read more

Plus they also recommend supplements for long term benefits for your dog that I haven't seen any positive results from these past couple of months. Just a waste of money. This is by far the best vet experiences I've had. You can tell they love their jobs and care deeply for the animals they treat. I just moved here and on the day she got here, my cat lost one of her canines and after a few days I was worried that it was infected. I was able to make an appointment within a few days for her surgery to remove the root of the tooth. They were able to give me a price range (which no other clinic/hospital I contacted would) and because I just moved to the area they were able to combine the initial exam and surgery appointment in one meeting. This was fantastic as my kitty gets really stressed every time I take her for a ride. I just cannot stress enough how patient the techs and doctors are here. I must have asked a dozen questions and they answered them all with great care and information, making me feel at ease (or as much as I could be)! Fast forwarding two weeks, my cat started displaying abnormal behaviors including being lethargic, and the clinic was able to fit me in the next day. Great customer service (human and feline). Great price. AND most importantly, they don't try to run unnecessary tests or up-charge you for additional (unrequested) items. I would highly encourage you to check them out. read more

My appointment was at 8:15. At 8:45 I was still in the waiting room, asking when I would be seen. At 8:50, I was called back to a room and told that it would be a few more minutes. At 9:00 I left, without being seen. No one should have to wait over 45 minutes to be seen (and technically still not be seen). This is the second time I've waited well over 30 minutes after my appointment time. I don't know if I'm just the only reviewer who's had the unpleasantry of being seen by Dr. Cochran, and everyone else is great, but after giving a second chance, I'm going else where. read more

My small dog are rat poison. When i called this vet i was told that they dont treat poison snd then gave mt a number to call ( hotline poison control for pets). I called and they tried to charge me 75.00 over the phine before a consultation. I immediately took my dog to achertz animal hospital where they quickly trwated my dog and confirmed that he did i jest posion they said he dhoukd be fine because i got him in quickly. This was the first clinic that didn't charge us or nickel and dime us uselessly. We were charged much less for services and the vet even incised several cysts and didn't charge me. At my regular Vets office the doctor wanted to charge us $181 per cyst. Dr. Knowles incised took out 2 of them and wanted to incise all 3 but my puppy was worn out so I declined....and never charged me a dime. The staff really cares for your babies/pets. They understand people are trying to be responsible pet owners....you are not treated like an ATM. read more

Dr.Knowlton is wonderful! My small dog was bloating and not feeling well. We took her to our vet of 6 years and wanted a large amount of money just to start to figure out what was wrong. Going for the most expensive tests right off. I had to call around and were fortunate to find Dr. Knowlton. They started with basic tests first and discovered the problem and treated from there. The entire staff was so caring and just a pleasure. I can't say enough about Dr. Knowlton who made herself available by email even after hours for comfort and communication. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! We just moved here from CA and needed a local vet to do a checkup on my 13 year old LAB. I went to this vet because it was close to my house (right down the street). So here is what happened. My Lab has a growth on leg and I wanted to have it removed. I saw the vet and they gave me a quote. Quote came out to 550 to have it done. I was ok with the price and set up the appointment. I dropped her off at 7:30am in the morning, the vet of course did blood-work on her first to make sure nothing else was wrong. Around 9am the vet called me and told me my dog has diabetes, and more tests needed to be done. So I said oh that's not good, OK do the next test. They did and called back hours later and said she does have it. and because of that they can not do the surgery. Here is where everything went bad. I walked into the vet to pick her up (no more then a few hours after dropping her off) When i walked in, the girl with Red hair sitting at the front desk asked "Hi sir can i help you"? I said my dog is ready to be picked up? She said who is your dog? I was her name, and she ROLLED HER EYES AT ME!!!! So she went to get my dog, brought her out to the lobby, (at this point I normally expected to sit in a room to talk with the doc) So they put all of the stuff i needed to buy on the counter and asked me to pay. I said to them, If you all expect me to give her shots, how do i do this and how many times a day??? At that point she called the vet to come explain this to me! What the heck??? So while the vet was explaining everything to be, I asked them if they could trim her claws while i was there, and they didnt want to do it! I was mulit times for them to do it and finally they did it and charged me 22 bucks for 5mins... So i paid 300+ for this visit for things i didn't know i needed, but they told me i needed. So I went home, started her on this special food and two shots a day, went back to the vet 2 days later for a checkup, and the levels are well blow where the vet told me they needed to be, again, they had me wait in the waiting room not the back room with my pet, they came back out and told me levels look good and gave me yet another bill, I said to them, What about the surgery? Can we do it now? They said what surgery? I said WHAT! , So the girl who took the 2nd blood-work had no idea what was going on nor did she even look at my pets chart! Today, I am bring my dog to another vet to have a 2nd opinion done as I believe they may have mad all of this up and if this is the case I will be bring this vet to Court. We left feeling, for the first time, like someone listened to every concern we had and developed a comprehensive long-term plan to help our dog get better. After my dog broke her canine in half at Rubber Doggie's I took her next door to the Cibolo Small Animal Hospital. They looked at her right away and made an appointment for her tooth extraction the very next day. Dr. Knowlton and her staff put me at ease and made me feel that we we're doing the right thing. Had a really nice experience! My pup needed 16 teeth pulled and it was definitely the cheapest by far of any other place around. I was emailed pictures of before and after and got an incredibly detailed update on her. Everyone I dealt with directly was very kind! My only complaints are small. I was told a few times to be there between 7 and 730am for a meet and greet with my pup and the vet didn't show up so I was in early for nothing. I also had to call on my own for an update and was told I didn't leave a number to be reached at but I definitely left TWO numbers. The receptionists also weren't too kind, they kind of ignore you when you walk in which is a little off putting. But like I said the vet and her assistants were so incredibly nice and made me feel very comfortable leaving her there. Will definitely be back! read more

This place is amazing! I have taken two of my dogs here for getting fixed and dental work. My dog Nelson who got fixed healed extremely quick and I was very pleased! This week I took my other dog Chula in for an appointment for getting her teeth cleaned and one pulled and I found out she has a heart murmur. Brooke, who is amazing, went over everything with me and answered all of my questions. They cleaned her teeth and pulled out three today and I'm amazed at how good of a job they did at such an awesome price! We didn't know our puppy needed shots until we got her, I called this place on the way driving to their office to see if I can get in I told them I would be there in about 10 minutes they said bring her right in and created a profile for us while on the phone when we got there we waited all of 5 minutes and got called back the vet was very friendly along with her assistant she gave us a lot of information free samples of puppy food and heart guard the price was a bit more than expected do to our pup having tape,hook, round worm, and fleas but what can you expect from an outside dog that lived on a farm overall price for the 1st set of shots and all those treatments came out to $100 which I think was still pretty good. No military discount however, would like to see it in the future. read more
