The venue is easy to navigate and has plenty of parking at a cheaper rate than most stadiums. I took my guy to his first major league hockey game and we had a blast! It was very memorable and such a perfect way to end his first day in Chicago. I also couldn't believe my luck at finding an amazing Blackhawks leather jacket that was on sale!! Seriously couldn't believe my luck! Drinks and food are on par with other stadiums as far as price, quality, and options go. One of the cleaner stadiums I've been to as well.

Every year, we choose a random venue and city to attend, and for our first time in years of this tradition, we decided to check out the United Center and Chicago. We went on a Friday to see two Sweet 16 basketball games (Michigan vs. Alabama and Iowa State vs. Tennessee) and then returned again on a Sunday to see the Elite 8 basketball game (Michigan vs. Tennessee) with the winner heading to Indiana for the Final Four. The games were electric, the United Center was a welcoming site, and it was easy to travel to and from (in general). We thought it was strange upon our arrival that the bag policy didn't allow clear bags that were a tad too big but it did allow unclear bags if small enough. We wish the American Express Lounge was open during our visit but I guess that is only during regular sporting events. The Uber Zone was also a bit complicated to figure out, but we eventually did. All in all, the entertainment in the concourses including great photo opportunities, the many food locations, and great merchandise locations. The United Center is an indoor arena on the Near West Side of Chicago and is home to the Bulls (NBA) and Blackhawks (NHL). Clearly, United Airlines is the corporate sponsor. It holds 23,500 people. There are 27 unique concessions restaurants located in the United Center including barbecue, chicken, pizza, Mexican, and other options. There are specific locations available for gluten-free and vegetarian food options, too. Some of the highlighted restaurants include Rocky's Bar, Queenie's Supper Club, FanDuel Lounge, Pepsi Grab N Go (and The Dashery & 4-Star Markets), and member's only dining like Chicago Stadium Club on the Lexus Club Level and Ketel One Club. For a special event, this location was great for the NCAA basketball tournament! I would certainly consider coming back to the United Center again in the future.

Drink prices here are through the roof (which is to be expected but still kinda annoying). I paid $36 for 2 cans of modelos. Most sections had no security so there were many people who kept seat hoping. It was mainly an issue for people who had front row seats since people would sneak into your spot if you left to use the restroom, to the bar, etc.. they'd move out of your spot once you returned but it's still annoying to have to repetitively do that if you need to leave for a short period of time. Overall it's not a bad arena.

Second we sat down all you smell is weed and cigarettes so I went to Usher and as if this is a policy that you can smoke in here I was told no. I was told that they could not do any thing about it . But you was warning about my small purse In the first instance, I had intended to attend the Mike Epps show, but my friend's purse was excessively large. Secondly, the air was heavily scented with marijuana and cigarettes. Consequently, I approached Usher, assuming that smoking was permitted within the venue. However, I was informed that this was not the case and that the establishment had no authority to address the issue. Despite your previous warning regarding my small purse, I was not given any assistance. I give 1 star just to post

I arrived without a ticket 10-minutes before a game and was able to catch "Thunderstruck" as the game was beginning. I found the staff members very friendly and affable. Finding our seats was easy and even though we sat in the 500s our view was good. Bathrooms are ridiculously clean for a ballpark. There is easy water refilling stations throughout the concourse which made our visit on a hot day easy. The food options are tremendous as well. I can see why RF has a great reputation for food. The actual field and board are also great. I am really happy I visited with my kid. I only wish I could visit more.

Pope Leo has also apparently brought some luck to the South Side, and the Sox are in 1st place. In some 60+ years of watching Chicago baseball, I came to this park for the very first time that I can recall with the Sox in 1st place, woot woot! I'm still sticking with a 5 star rating for Rate Field with the main reason being that good tickets here are very reasonably priced and available for a family outing, unlike at Wrigley Field. I bought 7 tickets for our family outing and only paid $29 per ticket on StubHub for right field upper deck section 522, row 3. They were nice shaded seats, that I picked by design, for a hot sunny day and pretty good seats also. You can hardly get 7 seats together at Wrigley Field on a weekend and it would cost a small fortune as well. This isn't a knock on Wrigley but more a result of Chicago simply being more of a Cubs town than a Sox town. Nevertheless, let us not forget Rate Field for having a nice Chicago baseball outing and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was also heartening that Rate Field offers a complimentary First White Sox Game souvenir certificate and booklet package for kiddos like ours making their first game here. It certainly helps that the Sox are winning these days, and this year they have 3 players making the 2026 AL All-Star team, namely 1B Munetaka Murakami, 3B Miguel Vargas, and CF Tristan Peters. They're the big surprise team in the Majors this year, and I really don't know how they did it after losing a record breaking 121 games in 2024 and 102 games in 2025. On this Sunday they handily beat the Oakland A's 9-1 and completed a 3 game sweep. Go Sox, and best of luck for the rest of the season!
