They came out and in one day did all the concrete work that we needed by concreting, where two stalls were in our barn, concreted, the lean too attached to our barn for us to store our tractor and also put in a concrete pad for a propane tank. Sergio was very communicative. He understood what we wanted.His crew was respectful of our property and cleaned up after themselves. After they completed the job, Sergio hauled away the old concrete that they had to tear out. I will definitely refer him to anybody that I know.And we will use him again in the future.

I made sure he understood and saw in-person what was needed and asked him if he still wanted to proceed before work started. Several times after agreeing on the scope of work and payment Eric seemed to want to change what was agreed on. (payment and work) Micro-managing Eric was exhausting. End result was not what I had repeatedly told Eric. I had marked specific broken bricks for him and they did not get replaced. I told Eric to please match the caulking color. Everything started out fine. Good price and they seemed like they knew what they were talking about. I paid them a substantial deposit for demo and materials. The did the demo and damaged my garage door lifting up concrete next to it. Accidents happen and they said they would fix it. Then suddenly they stopped showing up. Finally they told me they all caught the virus. Okay understandable, but then they are all sick for the same amount of time and then all get better at the same time. Seems unlikely but I thought at least now they will finish. Nope... Then the owner tells me he's already spent my deposit and can I front the money to buy the rebar and deduct it from the remaining balance. I should have just stopped at this point, but... I pay for the rebar and they do about half of it. Then they keep saying they will show up on a certain day. They don't. No excuses, no warning. no nothing.... Then they tell me that all the concrete companies are backed up and can't deliver for a week. I wait a week. Then after not showing up for several days, I finally get a hold of them and they give me a story that they are injured and can't finish the job. later I have another contractor give an estimate. not only did the first not finish the job but didn't do the part they did- the rebar and sand- correct. This was not a simple nor cheap endeavor, so we had to get multiple quotes from over a dozen companies. Some were quite low and some others made us think they were planning on paving our prospective new driveway with gold. We are firm believers of the saying "you get what you pay for" and this absolutely applies to the quote and subsequent job by Angel with AES Concrete Contractors. He and his company were very responsive and their quote was fair and more importantly was very detailed of their proposal. After fielding the bids, we submitted it the the HOA and because of their thoroughness, Angel & AES won the job based on overall value. The team were punctual on the day of the job and they were professional and respectful on how they worked and represented AES. When completed, we were pleasantly surprised it was better than what we expected and felt we got the very best service and value for our hard-earned money. The meeting went well and the person that showed up at my house was nice and polite. The problem was that I felt as if I had to chase the person in order to get my bid. They stated that they had to go out of town and I would get the bid when they returned. So I received the bid 7 days after my appointment and 5 days after all the other bids. The price of the concrete was a fair price but I decided to go with another company because of the time frame I needed. Perhaps next project I can use this company.
