I would never go back to this place !! I ordered Aguachiles, the shrimp were stale with no flavor, the dish tasted like vinegar. When I asked the waiter to take it away after a couple of bites because it did not taste good he started arguing with me and questioning whether I knew about "mexican food" I offered to pay for my tea and chips while he was still mouthing to me. I walked out never to return and will make every effort to tell as many people as possible to not go there. Incidentally my wife is from Mexico City, I have traveled and dined extensively in Mexico and Latin America and can discern sorry food and a worse attitude and that is what I found at Cielo Snyde, Texas read more

Really wanted to enjoy this place, but unfortunately it left us wanting much more. Positives first- Our server Erika- very sweet and attentive! The chips and salsa (can't screw that up usually) Now.... The not so wonderful First- we ordered the Queso Fundido... and it was prepared with chorizo- which we love! Unfortunately, they don't drain the excess grease off, so that's really all you taste and the other flavors are masked by an overwhelming amount of fat. The flour tortillas that came with it had good flavor, but were hard and seemed to have been prepped long ago and stored in its aluminum sleeve for quite some time. Second, I ordered the grilled chicken soft corn tacos with no oil on the tortillas (while prepping); I was brought out Carnitas - Erika was awesome and changed it, but the kitchen prepped fast (I'm guessing), and the grilled chicken was more like chopped up chicken on a flat top mixed with some marinade??? (see picture), and the corn tortillas now were soaked in grease and oil I went ahead and ate some of my husband's chicken that came with his fajitas. One of the servers, a man- perhaps a manager, came by and noticed that a lot of food was not being eaten and asked if there was anything he could get for us. He offered more tortillas (seeing mine) and I said "sure, can I get just some dry corn tortillas?" And he was great- brought some out quickly, but then by the end of the meal, we noticed we got charged for them . Overall, this is the 4th Mexican restaurant we've tried here in Snyder, and sadly, we probably won't return. read more

Guacamole was great. Enough for two or three people. You shouldn't leave hungry it's fresh and we'll prepared meals.

Needed to make a lunch stop on our trip to Vegas and decided to stop here. This cute little Mexican restaurant in this little town was amazing. As soon as you walk in you can smell the goodness. The service was excellent and the everything we had was great. Since we walked in, we were greeted and said we could sit anywhere we wanted. As soon as we sat, the waiter came over and gave us menus. He quickly came back and took our order and brought our drinks. The food came out quickly and was hot and delicious. The portions were nice and left you very full. The prices for the food were definitely very reasonable. Highly recommend this place if you live in the area or traveling, definitely stop by and have some food. read more

Since arriving in West Texas and finding Cielo, we've loved every meal there until today, today we're VERY disappointed with the service today. We went in at 5 pm to have supper and some drinks. The waitress told us that she isn't licensed and can't serve us a beer and the bartender hasn't arrived yet. So we ordered a coke (he got a fountain Coke) and an unsweetened iced tea. We also ordered the fresh guacamole. About 15 mins later the waitress comes over and tells us that the bartender has arrived and asked us what we wanted. I said a Corona dressed and my husband wanted a Shiner Bock. The bartender served the two ladies at the bar and the waitress returned to us and asked what corona I wanted and told my husband that you do not have Shiner Bock, so he ordered a plain Corona. And we waited.....and waited....the two coronas were sitting on the bar and we waited..... the bartender was by the fountain machine and our beer was still on the bar. (there was no one else in the restaurant except us and the two ladies at the bar). And we waited. The two waitresses were having a great conversation and our beer stayed on the bar and our tea and Coke were empty and there was no offer of a refill. Finally we waited long enough and decided to leave. No refills, no beer and half our guacamole left. The bill was $31.23 which to me seems pretty expensive for a fountain drink, a unsweetened iced tea and an order of fresh guacamole. read more

Stopped by on a road trip through Snyder and was really impressed by the food, staff, and the restaurant itself. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful Mexican food with a touch of old Mexico decorations. Restaurant was very clean, even at 9:30 PM and very busy. We ordered the tapatio and taco platter along with the table side guacamole. The guacamole was made by a courteous young lady, who ask how we liked our guacamole seasoned. To our delight she mixed it as asked, and served it with a bowl of homemade chips for dipping. The food was hot and delicious! We don't take pictures of our food, but it was aesthetically pleasing to look at, as well as most importantly, delicious to eat. Did I mention that they were slammed on a Friday night, due to the George Strait concert in Lubbock? Well they were, and they not only served the local resident customers, but the crazy amount of concert goers as well. There were other Mexican restaurants in Snyder, but lucky for us, the only one that stayed open until 11 PM. Win, win for us! The staff at Purple Sage Hotel recommended them and we agree that they're a great place to eat. Would definitely eat here again, if ever going through Snyder Texas again. Excellent meal! I had the Jicama salad with chicken added. Meat tender and Jicama juicy. Loved the walnuts and cranberries in the salad. My husband had the Carnitas with rice and beans. He was very impressed with the Canitas. We noted that the Guacamole is made at the customer's table. This restaurant has authentic Mexican food. After living in Mexico for 18 months, we know good Mexican food! . Will definitely return here when driving near Snyder. Restrooms very clean. Staff very attentive. Thank you! read more

Wow, Sunday night,SAF,, went in for my fav, carnitas, bad mistake. Beer was cold, that's good. The food was as cold as my beer. That's very bad. Kids, I've eaten carnitas about everywhere you can in this great land, and this was a very poor excuse for my fav. Shredded (seriously?) pile of cold tasteless pork. Very disappointing. $30 for 2 beers and dinner. Maybe the old steak place shouldn't have closed, no real steaks in town aside from the blockhead spot that's crazy $$$ but this place falls short of a repeat visit. read more

I don't know why this place exists. So few people were there and the food came out faster than fast food. I go to places with servers because I want something cooked to order, not a sit down awful bad version of Taco Bell. There's plenty of good mex, Tex-mex stuff all over Snyder. Recently a few of my coworkers and I were in town for a work trip and we decided to eat here. We all got receipts for our purchases for expense purposes. My total was $19 with tip. However, when I looked at the transaction on my card I noticed it said $32. When asking my coworkers what they were charged, they informed me that they were also overcharged. I have made multiple attempts to call them and get it sorted out but every time I'm either hung up on or told that the manager will call me back and I've never received a call back. Extremely shady and unprofessional. What they are doing is stealing and we regret giving this restaurant a chance especially considering the food was very poor quality. read more

Place was clean, service and food was great. I'm not a drinker but I could tell the bar was stocked with whatever was needed. They had some Jack Daniels to one of Texas finest, Balcones Baby Blue corn whisky, or that's what my friend Clarence tells me cause I don't know much about it. There was vodka from Stillhouse that comes in a paint thinner looking can, to a top rated vodka, New Amsterdam vodka with its unique distillation process that delivers a crips clean taste with unparalleled smoothness, that is according to my friend Frans. Frodrik another friend, told me they had all kinds of beer and suggested the Shiner Bock. He said Shiner Bock's the highest rated beer in Texas, he likes it a lot and I do mean a lot. He said, though Shiner Bock is significantly darker in color, the body doesn't seem to match up coming across as lean but very drinkable. Cherry and raisin flavors persistent with very little bitterness for balance. I wouldn't know for sure though, I don't drink. read more
