Ordered my usual, cheese enchiladas. They were decent. They weren't lacking yet, not full of cheese either. Everything needed salt. The guacamole was just mashed avocado, no spices or onion/tomato. My mother's beef enchilada and beef taco were also decent. Rice had a burnt taste to it. The salsa tasted like can sauce/paste. Nothing wowed us enough to cause us to feel the need to return but not to say we wouldn't. Maybe to try something else. The staff were friendly but weren't attentive. read more

I stopped in and the parking lot was full. The Hostess said it was a 10 minute wait, I had a table in less than 5 minutes. The salsa is fresh and very good. I ordered the Carne guisada and it was very good! The beans were great as well! The service was prompt and very friendly. I will be back! read more

Chicken enchiladas are very good, fresh and flavorful without having a lot of excess garbage added like some places do. The chips and salsa used to be like heaven but have since gone flat. The chips are often on verge of being stale and the salsa now seems little more than tomato juice with a few chunks of this and that thrown in for appearances. Up until the past 2 or 3 weeks, Jaramillo's would have gotten 5 stars, easy. Maybe I just caught a bad few days. I'll wait until I hear of improvements before going back. read more

Solid home style Mexican food and friendly service at this family place just east of the downtown square in Snyder. We started our meal with a generous bowl of delicious red salsa and chips. The red salsa is spiked with red chile sauce for an extra kick of flavor, but is made with canned (not fresh) tomatoes. The beef fajita quesadilla features delicious steak fajita meat stuffed with sautéed bell peppers, onions, and white cheese between two fresh flour tortillas. It was gooey and delicious. Carne guisada consisted of tender cubes of beef roast stewed in a brown chile gravy for hours. It was served with delicious lard-infused refried beans and a side of rice. I had the green chile cheeseburger, a flat-top grilled burger patty topped with a generous helping of canned roasted hot green chiles, cheese, and onions, sandwiched between two flour tortillas. For us, the difference between 4 and 5 stars in places like this are homemade tortillas and salsa versus canned, and (especially in Hatch chile season) fresh versus canned green chile. They do not make their own tortillas or their own salsas, so 4 stars is tops from us. Overall, this is a good place for hearty food served with friendliness at a good price. A solid 4 stars and we will stop here again when we come through Snyder next. read more

Food had no flavoring to it, queso was watered down and lemonade was extremely tart. Then on top of that beans looked awful and be careful because the plates are extremely hot as if they were on the grill themselves. the only thing that wasn't clean we're the salt and pepper shakers and a different seasoning shaker. read more

We got the beef and chicken mixed fajitas There was a lot of meat but few tortillas. The beans did not taste homemade and the rice was dry. Way back 25 plus years ago this was our favorite place. I don't expect to go back unless I just get the fajitas meat. The queso tasted like velveeta with no other flavors. read more

Our family ate here while passing through town. My wife and I both enjoyed our food. We agree that the rice and beans were just average, but her fajitas and my enchiladas were very good. The sopapillas were dynamite. Chips and salsa were delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. Place was clean enough. I did have a little salsa on my menu when it was handed to me. They should clean the menus. But that has happened to me at a lot of places (food on the menu). Seems to be common these days, unfortunately. We would eat here again. read more

Not very good. Salsa tasted store bought. Chili Relleno had way to much breading on it. Some of the breading was tough and chewy. The rice was very dry. The taco shell was stale.
