This is a once a year purchase for me. The 3rd Saturday in October is dedicated to puffing on a cigar to celebrate a TIDE victory over the Vols! Let me just say, this place was FULL of smoke when we walked in ! OMG, poor air circulation period! The gentleman worker who "helped" me was less than helpful. I am not a cigar professional, so I didn't like the fact that he treated me as though I was! Poor customer experience. You can't assume a patron knows it all when they come to make a purchase of this nature . This. establishment is obviously for those who love all things cigar and everyone present seem to know each other. I probably won't visit this cigar shop /lounge again because I just did not like the unwelcoming feeling I left with . I have gone to another local cigar shop last year and they were extremely helpful and the environment was more classy. read more

I traveled to Hoover for a week in December. I went to Cigars & More Patton Mall location every evening. The selection of cigars are impeccable. The atmosphere is great weather you are inside the lounge or sitting outside on the porch. Every patron was friendly and the employees of the shop welcomed me with a freindly and sincere attitude. I am not a smoker. Let me lead with that. First time here. Nice atmosphere. Nice huge selection of cigars. The decor matches the atmosphere. The guys that were hanging out seemed to be pleased that 4 women walked in. They helped me picked something light and fruity. I had the groovy blue ? I think. Lol. They cut it and gave me a light. They taught me how to smoke it and I had a really nice time. I. Me. Jennifer smoked a whole cigar. The woman who hates smoke. Lol. I met some really nice gentlemen and me and my group enjoyed ourselves. The next I almost brushed my braces off trying to get the taste out of my mouth but that's another story. read more

A good cigar bar. The owner approached us and engaged in a conversation. Rightfully proud of his establishment. Prices were good, although it would have been better had I been able to have a beer. The owner did explain that it was the landlord's decision. A good place for a smoke, however if it is crowded, it can get a bit overwhelming with the smoke. read more

I have been going to this cigar lounge for several years. Everyone is always friendly and the seating is extremely comfortable and the people are very accommodating. The selection at the store is one of the best I have seen in the country and I travel. It is a great place to either hang out and watch the big screen TV or to sit at a table and work with the Wi-Fi they Supply. Second to none!!! read more

I was in town on business and rather than sit around at a bar, I like to try out local cigar lounges and relax. I found this spot through yelp and really enjoyed myself. The humidor has a solid selection and was a good size. I didn't find anything that blew my mind but they had the staples. There's a large bar you can sit at, some nice chairs and even a few table tops. There's also outdoor seating which was great for enjoying the night weather. At a lot of cigar shops you can feel like the music stops and everyone looks at you when you walk in if you're not a regular. That's not the case here. The staff and regulars were really helpful and I had a number of great conversations with people. I'd definitely head back if I was in the area. I wish they were open a little later than 9, but they leave their outside seating open even after they close inside so I can't complain. Great shop for a relaxing evening. read more

As I'm not a cigar smoker, I don't have much of an opinion on this place though I did have a good experience. I had a friend in town who enjoys a good cigar, good convo and the atmosphere of a cigar bar/lounge so we checked it out. As you walk in, it's a dimly lit room with a few tv's, tables and chairs, couches and the bar spread about. There's a closed off humidor where all the cigars for purchase are stored. Make a purchase, at the bar once you've found something you like. Of course they have cutters and ways to light your cigars for you. So what appears to be a bar, isn't really a bar at all... it's just the place behind which the cashier stands. He did tell me they have drinks (soft) for $1, but nothing stronger. HOWEVER, while there my friend and I noticed pretty much everyone there had brought in pizza, wings, food of all sorts from various different restaurants as well as entire bottles of liquor, 6 packs of beer etc. Not sure if we missed signage somewhere or if that's something they don't want advertised. Either way, looked nice from afar... too bad we weren't in the know at the time. Again, I'm not a cigar smoker, but I have no complaints. read more

Before I moved away from Birmingham, the options for a cigar were non existent. However, I accidentally stumbled on this place on a recent trip home. It's BYOB, which is cool. They have an extensive cigar selection in the walk in humidor. Plus a couple of extra humidors with specialty cigars in them. Two visits in 4 days and both times the staff was attentive and extremely friendly. Nice lounge area with great seating and televisions to view a sporting event or two. Will be my escape for when I've had enough "family time" when I visit home. War Eagle and all that. read more

Was a good spot, been buying my tobacco & cig tubes for over a year. Figured I'd buy a 2nd tube injector from here, paid $10 more than tobacco express, got 5 bad cigs out of it & realized handle is grinding. Took it back & was told owner would call me on what he would do to resolve. He never called. Only when I showed up to buy more tobacco was I informed it was "my problem," not the owner's. So now I'm out $50, and have a worthless cig tube injector. I was told to deal with the manufacturer if I wanted a resolution the owner didnt want anything to do with it. Came in one day after work (I'm an industrial electrician, I work long hot sweaty dirty nasty hours, and by the end of the day, I'm usually covered in dirt and grime. It's a living.) in my work clothes (I believe it was a hi-vis shirt and some jeans) and asked the girl at the counter if they sold pipe tobacco. She looked at me with an air of "what are you doing here?, go away, you don't belong here", she pointed in a general direction to the jars of smokables on the wall. Doesn't get up to show me, just points me in the vague direction. After some searching, I found a blend that smelled halfway decent, and when I asked to sample a little bit, she turned her nose up and told me that I had to buy it if I wanted to smoke it. I wasn't in any mood for conflict, so I bought the minimum amount and walked right out. Never going there again. If that is the way they treat a hard-working customer, they don't deserve my business! read more

My friend and I went in on a Saturday. There were folks watching the game and the people behind the counter were not busy with other customers. The employees were rude and uninterested in customer service. We asked if they had a few brands, each followed by a cold "no." No suggestions or recommendations. It was clear our business was not wanted. Would rather drive to the Cigars and More on 280 or go to the Briary before returning here. At least those places will talk to and interact with their customers in order to help them find what they want and make them feel welcome. read more
