Now that we have very little ones, I prefer their English mass. I visited this past Sunday with my son and it felt particularly homey. There were many families with kids, which always helps to put my mind at ease. The last thing I want is someone complaining because a four year old can't sit perfectly still for a full hour. My favorite part of mass is always the music. Their singers are particularly lovely. It's especially nice at Christmas because who doesn't love Christmas carols?!

Truly a must for anyone in Cincinnati you get in line wait at least an hour if not more, cash only and treated to some of the best Italian food made with love by generations. You can order ravioli only, spaghetti and meatballs only, or a combo meal. I recommend the combo so you get a mixture of ravioli spaghetti and the most delicious meatballs you ever have. They also sell wine on site & you can buy frozen ravioli to go. Learned a tip for next time, buy extra meals and bring to go containers when your extra plates arrive immediately put that food in the to go container and then you have some to enjoy back at home.

They do an excellent job of maintaining the inside and have had all the finishes, paint and gold leaf redone in the past decade or two. The Music Director does a superior job in directing the choir. They sang a capella for their first song and we all know that it really showcases the voices. The sound was magnificent! The man I believed to be the director had a voice which will take your breath away. He told us after the services that he is classically trained. He could perform at Music Hall in my opinion! Truthfully, I was surprised to not see the pews crowded, but it might have been the day. They have a Health & Wellness Ministry who staff regular blood pressure screenings, provide information on health and promote physical, mental and emotional wellness. Not only is there a crisis & suicide hotline, but psychiatric emergency services and they have great tips to fight loneliness and make friends. Another nicety is that they announce the birthdays of the week. We would definitely visit this church again.

One of the parishioners who knew a lot about the church said that it had the largest columns made of single pieces of marble anywhere in the United States for certain - perhaps the world. I imagined out-loud that they had to have literally built the church around the columns and in a sense they did as they were acquired during the building process!! As you look at the stained glass, you will be struck by the vibrancy of the colors. The carvings, the painting of the walls and art are dazzling. We were even allowed up where the choir section used to be and from there you can read on the huge beams that horizontally cross the ceiling inspirational words. It's too bad most parishioners will never see them from where they are sitting. Stunning carved stone. I could go on and on. Of course, I am a huge fan of art deco, so the interior really spoke to me. The cantor and the choir were wondrous! It seems this church is active as they hold an annual parish picnic with St. Teresa joining St., Catharine. There are Fish Fries during Lent and, of course, the St. William Festival. It's too bad there isn't a written history on the building/architecture of this church as it is uniquely remarkable.

I did not end up selecting this chapel only because my wedding size is slightly too large for the space; however, I would HIGHLY recommend this space as an option to check out for people searching. The chapel is absolutely gorgeous and is conveniently located to a reception space, Centennial Barn, which is on the same convent property. Sally was extremely helpful and flexible with meeting times to show the space. The chapel can hold up to 290 people, but I felt any more than 180 would mean seating in areas with less visibility. Otherwise, I would have selected this chapel. I won't give anything away, but I even received a small gift at the end of my visit which was heartfelt and so appreciated. Excellent job Sally! Highly recommend this chapel.

I have heard wonderful things about this church, but to also not to expect one of the beautiful old churches. It's true that it is newer (built in 1962) and it shows, but it's a nice church with many activities and ways of getting involved. Today happened to be part of family week-end, so it was filled to the brim. Was a little surprised to find out that our pews were not attached to the floor so that when you sat down or used the kneeler you could definitely feel movement. The musicians/singers there were very talented and added a lot. Trying to figure out which direction to head for communion and how to return to your seats was a bit confusing. I followed my friend on one side of me in one direction and my husband on my other side headed a different way. Any little differences like that were made up for by all that this church offers. It made me wish that I lived closer to it.

We have found that parishes that are connected or affiliated with universities typically have an energy about them that charges even the more elderly parishoners to be far more active and involeved in the parish community. After moving to Cincinnati in 2008, it wasnt until 2014 after much searching that we found a patish that we really felt home in.

It was surprising to see how void the church seemed of hardly any stained glass windows, decorative architecture and even a ceiling. The lack of ceiling showed off great looking huge wooden beams. In a sense, you were less distracted. Turns out that the church had survived two fires and in the biggest one they lost most of the stained glass windows and other features. There is still a photo of what the interior looked like before the fire and it was magnificent. The church celebrated their 150th anniversary in the year 2000! Not only is there a good size choir, but a really talented, passionate music director/organist/pianist named Marty. She took the time to show us the grotto downstairs and said that a couple went there not that long ago who were actually married there! There were at least 4 people who came up to us to ask if we were visitors and welcomed us very warmly. It was nice. Mostly the sermon was asking for more donations, but it was done in a very kind personal way while informing the parishioners where the money went. There was coffee and donuts both before and after mass. We left with a good feeling about this church.

The stained glass, The parquet inlaid floor in the pulpit behind/beneath the double sided crucifix, which itself is a rarity. This truly is a place you HAVE to see when visiting Cinci.

Along with our tour guide, he gave us some great information on the history of the church. Once inside, we visited a tomb under the altar. I was a little uncomfortable with people taking pictures of the headstones but it was very interesting. When the church was built they had to move some remains that were in the cemetary so the vault served that purpose as the final resting place for several people. The interior of the church is really lovely. There are pictures of it from the past and it was previously much more ornate. Still beautiful but I prefer the interior as it is now. The skylights, stained glass and organ are of particular interest.
