I thought I didn't like birria tacos but I just never had a good one until now. They don't skimp on the meat or cheese and bundle it all up with a large, crispy tortilla. The broth was also delicious I could drink it on its own. It's not too salty and there were bits of veggies and meat in it too. I am vacationing in PR and wanted to find a good place to eat. Of course I checked Yelp and was not disappointed! For starters, the service is absolutely amazing. So kind, patient and gave good recommendations. Our server was a delight. Secondly, the Burrito El Luchador - the best burrito I've had! The burrito had three meats in it, rice and a bunch of other yummy goodness. A must try! Dessert was also a winner! The churros were fantastic!! The food was hands down my favorite meal in PR thus far. However, the service was even better than the food. The owner of the restaurant came by and asked how things were, had a conversation with us and recommended some amazing beaches and other locations to try. As a tourist we were looking for something different. Cinco de Maya didn't disappoint. We had the Burrito el Luchador and the Tacos de Pescado.M, both these dishes hit the spot. But as good as the food is the margarita game at this place is awesome. If you are looking for something other than mofongo and have a soft spot for Mexican you could do way worse than spending your hungry time at Cinco de Mayo. We would eat here again. Oh, and don't forget to try the coconut salsa on each table in the squeeze bottle. While it is on the sweet side it is very original and when used sparingly is quite good. read more

The place itself it's beautiful and the vibes are quite nice, but the service is terrible. The three times I've been there (Sept 2019, Nov 2019, May 2020) I've encountered myself waiting for long periods (Over 40 minutes with not that many clients on the restaurant) to be attended and served with waitresses that are very rude and get your orders wrong. (First time I went there I waited 23 mns for the waitress to take my order and another 21 mns to get my food which it wasn't what I ordered. Second time I went there I waited for 30 minutes to be attended and nobody came so I left. Third (and last time) I ordered the food with 50 mns in advance (told me the order was going to take 35 mns) I got to the place and I had to wait another 42 mns for them to tell me that the order was not ready and that they had 6 tickets before me, I told them to cancel my order.) People I met there waiting for their orders were also pretty mad since they had been waiting for over an hour under the sun and they had ordered 2 hours beforehand. Note: I went there 3 times because I live close by and in pictures the food looks pretty good so I thought I'd give them a chance to impress me and change my mind, but it has been disappointment after disappointment. read more

We had three different waiters who never asked if we needed more water or more chips after we ran out (still had way too much dip left), and we had to ask for forks after our food arrived.
