We needed a backhoe; got one here the same day. They told us to come Saturday afternoon because then we would have it till Monday morning but only have to pay for the 1 day rental- great advice. Equipment was in great shape, they honored a coupon I had from Value Pack. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, honest. We will go here anytime we need to rent equipment.

They expect people to show up in person with their ID and a local address tied to it just to rent the equipment and didn't process things until we showed up the day of the install. By the time we got there, they said they couldn't deliver it the same day even though the delivery address was less than two miles down the road and we ended up taking a loss since we had to stick around for another day, reschedule transportation and deal with cancellation fees as a result. It's also weird how they just expect people to pay with credit and don't list debit as an option for paying (we paid with debit.) There's also a mandatory $200 deposit required even though the rental itself was less than $100 total. Luckily we didn't have to pay that although on the receipt it still says "$200 deposit not met." Scheduled the delivery for 9am the next day since there's no guarantee the client would be on site earlier. I received a call from the client that they called at 8AM stating they would be there in 15 minutes! I then get a call around 8:15am asking where to drop the ladder off when on the initial rental agreement I already told them where and again when we went in-person. I then check the cameras and he's still there unloading around 8:50am. How long does it take to unload a single ladder? It looked like it was just the ladder on the truck too! We then had to call to tell them to pick up the ladder. Once again, they say something about "not being able to pick it up today" so we scheduled it for the next day. An hour later the delivery driver shows up and grabs the ladder. It's as if they look at their schedule and make a decision instead of looking up the address and adjusting the schedule according BEFORE they speak on things. If they bothered to look at the address the day before, they most likely could've easily delivered the ladder and saved us a ton of headaches.

Got it on the job, couldn't use it because it was not only bent, but when you get 3/4 the way up, it would twist. Could not use it to do it's intended purpose. Brought it back to return it and told the guys who greeted me. They sent for an older guy who put it against the building and said "It only has a little bend to it". I told him it twisted when you climbed on it, and he grumbled something. I told him "I'll just pay for it", knowing they had rule #1, which was an inspection and acceptance rule. My bad. Will never rent from them again. Noticed that they put the ladder BACK into the 'for rent' pile for the next guy. Lesson learned. I rent equipment on a regular basis, and this isn't the place to do so. I'd love to know the OSHA variance on "It only has a little bend to it". Be warned- INSPECT ITEMS CAREFULLY HERE. 11/7/2020 So here's your update, since the owner blew the cobwebs off of this.. I didn't use it to paint the peak of the roof. I attempted to use it to repair an eave on a house. I did not use it more than climbing up about 20 feet until the ladder twisted beneath me. I attempted to shore the ladder up a few times and then loaded it up and returned it. THIS, accompanied by the hour each direction drive time that it took me 4 hours. I really don't owe you an explanation, but one was due (again). I went through the entire explanation the day of the rental, and now I'm doing it again. And to be perfectly clear- It's not about the money. It was about the sub-standard equipment you rented me. I continue to rent equipment from other suppliers, but will never rent from you again. Lesson learned, and apparently others have the same issue. Take care, enjoy your day, blah, blah, blah. But I really do enjoy your fiction about the whole "needed it to paint the peak of a house".. If you can't keep your facts straight, by all means make up a story to fit your narrative, buddy!
