The best home-style southern cooking I had on an extended trip through the mid Southeast. Cash only.

Was looking for an Italian restaurant and Vicari was recommended by a local. So we decided to try…read moreit out. Arrived around 6:30 without a reservation, however we were seated immediately. The restaurant was beautiful. Low lighting warm atmosphere and brick walls. We're seated up stairs near a beautiful bar. Apparently they hold many events up stairs. The waitress was very sweet and helpful. She was covering the entire upstairs and was apologetic for keeping us waiting. We started with a side salad. I ordered the Caesar salad and my husband ordered the house salad both delicious and fresh. For the main course I ordered Tuscan chicken in a cream spinach sauce with bow tie pasta. Waitress was so nice offered to make it with any pasta I wanted. It was cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the lasagna with meat sauce. He stated it was delicious. The Resturant was a little pricey but the food and atmosphere made it worth it.

I would have picked a 3.5 star... We arrived at 5pm, asked…read moreto sit upstairs at the bar for a drink before dinner. The two very friendly hostesses said a class reunion was upstairs in the dinning section, but we could sit at the bar and come down for dinner without a need for a reservation. We sat at the bar for a drink, it was freezing, but probably because of the number of people for the reunion and the AC had to be set low. The bar tender was very busy, but sweet and attentive to us. She made us great cockatiels, with some wait, but totally understandable due to the large party for the reunion. We finished our drinks and moved down stairs for our meal. We placed an order for two appetizers to share ( I do think they are a bit pricey here). We had average table service, mostly because of the attitude of our server, not very attentive and felt like we were the bothering her. The food was excellent. Then restaurant was clean. I did visit the ladies room and the toilet seat was broken ( not knowing until I tried to stand back up and the lid fell on my back and the seat practically slipped off the toilet bowl. ) :0

Well this is second time I'm so disgusted with Zaxbys. Usually I have no complaints. But the last…read morefew times I have gotten the Grilled Cob salad. A favorite of mine. They give me salads made with mostly limp and soggy browning lettuce. The first time it happed. I didn't go back for a month. Went back today and AGAIN! Gross lettuce. I had to throw away so much of the salad and eat just the toppings. Do better zaxbys. This is something easily fixed and should not have been handed out the window. Go to Rib Shack down the road past McDonald. Cost about the same and always good. Also can get grilled, fried, smoked chicken. Or pig salad for same amount of money. Never had rotten lettuce from there. Good bye Zaxbys. Such a shame.

Being an assistant manager at this company has been one of the most frustrating experiences of my…read morecareer. Despite the title, I've felt more like a puppet than a leader. The upper management claims to value dedication and hard work, but in reality, it seems like profits come first, and employees are just a number. There's this constant pressure to meet targets without any regard for our well-being. The workload can be overwhelming, with little support from upper management. No matter how much effort you put in, it's never enough, and the lack of recognition is rare. What's worse is the company's blatant disregard for the employees' overall health. When employees express their struggles, they are often met with indifference. Instead of fostering a supportive environment, it feels like employees are all just left to fend for themselves. Overall, it has been incredibly disappointing to work for a company that claims to care about its employees but doesn't practice what it preaches. The district manager has consistently demonstrated a lack of genuine care for her employees and a troubling tendency to overlook the underlying issues within the company. Instead of actively investigating problems or seeking to understand the company's challenges, she tends to accept information at face value, relying solely on what she's told by certain individuals rather than getting to the root of the issues. This approach has led to a growing disconnect between herself and the staff, amplifying frustrations and diminishing morale. Employees often feel unheard and undervalued, as their concerns go unaddressed and solutions remain elusive. Her disregard for feedback creates an environment where open communication feels discouraged. Ultimately, a district manager should be a supportive leader who engages with employees and fosters a culture of trust and collaboration. Unfortunately, this has not been my experience, and it's disappointing to see a lack of investment in the well-being and development of the company. During my employment, I observed many interactions between the general manager and several underage female employees that raised serious red flags. The general manager often made inappropriate comments that seemed unprofessional and crossed the line of acceptable workplace behavior. It's troubling to think that someone in a position of authority would use their power to create a discomforting environment for young women who are simply trying to do their jobs. Furthermore, the manager's behavior seemed to create an atmosphere that many might find intimidating. It's vital for any workplace, especially one that employs youth, to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
