In the lobby today upon entering there was an obnoxious solicitor who offered me a gift card and asked for my zip code and email. I took it and continued walking and said I'm in a rush (I still needed to get snacks and drinks before the movie) and he said it would only take 20 seconds. I told him I really didn't have any extra time and he said "well I'll need the gift card back." And I reiterated again I didn't have time and gave him the gift card back. I found this to be a rather aggressive soliciting tactic as soon as we walk in the door and it's unavoidable. Also the drink area was extremely messy with no garbage cans nearby to take care of straw wrappers. There were small shallow tins which we believed to be for trash but wasn't 100% sure because they didn't neatly fit straw wrappers. read more

Saw my first movie in ages here in the small theater at Cinemark North Hills. The seats were beyond comfy with buttons to put your feet up & recline almost fully. Hey if the movie is boring it's like napping in a Lazy Boy! There's a swivel table where you can place your food & beverages. I had a good experience here. read more

Theatre is in a nice area with places to eat and shop before and or after your movie. Inside, the theatre was clean and looked nice and sold some cute souvenirs and even had a small, but fun looking arcade. The employees were kind and professional and inside the thetare itself to watch the movie was also clean. Seats were comfortable and recline and while not many seats, the theatre was spacious and I didn't feel too close to the people beside me. Also as a sensory bonus, the theatre wasn't too loud and the temperature wasn't too warm or too cold. For sure a nice theatre in the area worth visiting! read more

Went to see an opening night/night before showing of The Batman, and it was a good time. The movie was shown in the XD theater, and everything looked and sounded great. The concession experience can be a little confusing if you don't know what you're doing ahead of time. It's set up sort of like a cafeteria -- you can order a bag of popcorn, grab your snacks, fill you drinks, etc. without paying. The line funnels you around to a cash register, and you check out there before it spits you out at the ticket gate to get into your theater. Once you understand the process, it makes sense and is pretty straightforward. But it definitely threw me for a loop since I wasn't expecting it and there wasn't really any signage explaining what to do Snacks are expensive -- it is a movie theater after all. But the giant recliners with heated seats and tray tables do make for a comfy, home theater-like movie-going experience. read more

This theater is always super clean, well staffed and the popcorn is, most of the time, fresh. We see most of our movies here because it's right down the road. I love that you can select your seats ahead of time and know your getting what you want. We will be back again next weekend! read more

Cinemark is a good movie theatre. This is my go-to-place. Plus the Cinemark app and membership make seeing movies way cheaper! Love the popcorn, could do more salt and less butter, but I'll take it! And the Icee always hits the spot. Spent 11.50 for a large icee, large popcorn and a water! Do XD if you have the chance. Very comfortable reclining chairs, plenty of foot space and clean seats! read more

I purchased my movie tickets in advance online, and I was able to reserve seats that would give my husband and me space from other customers and an excellent view of the screen. Plenty of parking was available in the parking lot. The employee at the ticket counter was courteous, and we had no wait at all for him to scan our e-ticket. The concession stand was sort of small, but the employees greeted me and told me to have a great day, and I was able to find pretzels, candy, and a drink that I like. Of course, the prices for food and drinks are expensive, but the theater has to pay its bills. The movie theater had large screens in large rooms, and the seats were comfortable leather and reclined. When the movie was over, and my husband and I were walking out of the building, an employee thanked us for our business and told us to have a great day. I did not use the restrooms at all so cannot comment on those, but the theater otherwise was clean. I expect to visit this theater much more in the future. read more

Went to see The Jesus Revolution in this beautiful, comfortable theater. It's about time we could find a movie without sex and violence that wasn't a cartoon. The seats seem fairly new and they're very comfortable. It was odd not having a tray like we have in my theater with the loungers, but the rest of the theater seems much newer or more recently updated. The rest rooms are much nicer looking and everyone was very friendly (I didn't talk to any managers and it's really only the one manager at our nearest theater that's always rude, so perhaps they have the same issue). The only down side is that the toilets don't flush properly, so there's toilet paper in most of the toilets if you go to use one, since it hasn't flushed completely. Kinda gross. Hopefully, they'll get better toilets eventually. Our theater doesn't have that problem - they just have employees who make it as difficult as possible to get toilet paper when they fill it. read more

I don't have much to say except I took my six year old to the new ninja turtles movie, there was a very gross scene that made him puke. The staff were so kind, they gave us free passes since he didn't get to see most of the movie and we're very sweet about a terrible mess! Walking in was a cluster no direction and people everywhere. Once we got our tickets we were trying to figure out how to purchase our snacks, which were self serve. So odd, but okay... grabbed those and now where do we check out... finally realize where pay and get to our seats which were comfy and the theater was nice. I gave three stars simply because we were from out of town and there were plenty of staff who provided no assistance for getting through the various steps which are all spread out. read more

This theater is fairly new so it is clean. But I must say, whoever did the floor plan of this place miscalculated in so many ways. The whole concession stand is sort of set up like a cafeteria where you check out at the end, but it is so cramped and small, people are tripping all over themselves. Upside is... They sell wine and beer. That's about it. The primary restroom is literally right in front of the exit. So, on a cold or wet day, there is a huge crowd waiting for others to get out of the restrooms while another huge crowd is trying to push their way through and out the exits. A jumbled mess... As for the theater seating. Horrible. We went to the XD theater, which supposedly has the larger screen and more comfy chairs. But as a 5'1" person, if I didn't feel comfy I'm assuming majority of people wouldn't find it comfy. The chairs are not of the best quality and seem flimsy. I'd be hard pressed to think the chairs will last long. They are set together so closely with the row in front of you, every time someone needs to pass by, everyone in the row has to stand up. So very inconvenient and disappointing to be so new. Otherwise from my issues stated above, good small sized theater that's clean and new. Prices aren't bad either. read more

I'm part of the movie club so I love that I can get discounted tickets on the app. The luxury loungers are so nice and comfortable and is always clean. They do a really good job of cleaning the seats and rows after every movie and I've never experienced anything but nice employees. They do have a bar and coffee bar so you can get specialty and alcoholic beverages to take in the theater if that's your jam. Since this is the nearest theater to my home I was really hoping that it would be amazing since I go to movies typically at least once a week. After going this past weekend I can say that it will do just fine. While it does not have recliner/reserved seating like the AMC I am more accustom to, it does offer some nice amenities. Firstly, I do like the concession area. They offer many different items outside of the typical movie theater fare like ice cream, Starbucks, a bar and my favorite...pay by the weight candy! I was able to get a 1/4 lbs. of Muddy Bears and Reese's Pieces for about $3. That's right, you can mix and match! I haven't seen that before at a theater. If been to theater bars before and while it is kind of cool, I'm not willing to pay the prices they want. I'll just hit the bar down the road beforehand. The theater itself seemed fairly new and clean. I was in theater 10 for a normal movie and sat in the front row behind the railing dead center. There isn't much room so to get to my seat everyone had to stand up. Later, I just climbed over the railing to use the restroom and then back over the railing to return. Like I said, not much room in the aisles so be forewarned. The screen was a good size and the sound was also done well. The seats are fairly padded and a bit bigger than a standard seat with a taller back that reclines a bit. Sitting right at the railing made a nice foot rest for me. The restrooms are right at the exits so if you do use them, you'll have a bit of a jaunt depending on which theater you are in. Which makes the quick pit stop to minimize missed movie time near impossible. Maybe hold off on the large drink! The staff seemed to be pretty nice and attentive. I didn't really have a need to interact with them much so take that for what it is worth. I'll have to go back for an XD show and 3D showing to get a feel for those aspects. I'm not sure how I feel about their loyalty program yet. Basically you download he Cinemark app and get 10 points for buying your ticket, 10 points for buying anything at the concession stand and 10 points for switching your phone to "cinemode" during he duration of the movie for a total of 30 points per day max. You then turn these points in for rewards. That's it. No free concession upgrades, no free movie tickets based on how much you spend, no tiered system...I'd like to be rewarded for how much frequency/money I put into the theater rather than a blanket program. It is free so we will see how it goes. Overall, it isn't the theater that I really want but it is the theater I got and it isn't half bad. For now I'll stay but if they were to put in one of the newer AMC theaters close, it wouldn't even be a decision for me. Reserved seating and a worthwhile loyalty program are just to important to me. read more

I took my two kids here to a movie on a Friday night for the first time. We prepaid for out tickets so when we walked in it didn't say what to do so I went to the front counter. They told me I just needed to scan my phone before walking into the hall to the theaters. I said ok. Then we got some popcorn and I ordered slushies but I didn't realize it was ala cart. The guy just got us popcorn and said I can pay for it and get my slushies by the cashier. Ok no problem. Our hands were full with popcorn and I had to get two slushies for my kids on my own. My kids are a little older now but it was sort of difficult. I can't imagine if my kids were a little younger and how difficult it could be. Anyways we paid got the slushies and everything was fine but just confusing at first because I didn't know what to do. We got to our seats and there is a tray attached to the seat. That's nice if you are eating but it really was in the way the whole movie. I didn't really like it. Also when I tilt my seat back it squeaked every time that I went back and forth. That happened to the person next to me too. I guess I was expecting a little better at this theater but maybe it's was the actually theater we were in and it could be better in the other ones. My go to movie theater. The seats are very comfortable and even recline. I won't go to any other movie theater in the North hills area besides this one because it offers the best mix of food options, comfortability, and movie options. The food, candy, and popcorn like every theater is obviously over priced, but with getting a large popcorn you can get a free re-fill which ends up being a good deal. If you go earlier in the day for the matinee times you can end up getting really good deals for your tickets. Overall, it is the best movie theater around. read more

Went to see a rated R movie with my friends, Not my first time purchasing a ticket for such type of movie. Was able to buy snacks and get up to the guy who takes tickets (I think his name was George). I was one of 2 people in a group of 8 who were denied entry and pestered with providing an ID. I thought no problem and pulled up a picture of my birth certificate. Apparently proof of my birth and age was not enough to get in. Why am I able to buy a ticket and snacks just to get denied entry. Wasted almost $40 just to get denied. Made me lose all respect for the business as they scammed me. Will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Wow. I love this theater. My boyfriend and I discovered this location about 6 months ago. It quickly became our favorite place to see movies. It's pretty new which is nice, and it's always clean. We love it because their popcorn is fresher and tastier than others and their seats are super comfy! Their arm rests lift up. If you wanna get cozy during a movie, you can! Always a bonus! We recently had a negative experience here NOT because of the theater but because of another customer. When I contacted the manager about it just to inform him, he responded quickly, listened politely, and sent us passes when he certainly didn't need to. Certainly recommend this location! read more

How happy I was to see this theater open! After years of traveling many miles south to Destinta and Cinemark Robinson, east to Loews and Southside Works...anything to avoid the local broken seated, sticky floored Rave Cinema...FINALLY we got this gem of a movie theater. I've been a steady customer ever since. The seats and sound and screens are superb! Here's where stars were deducted. As so many others have noted, the concession area is a disaster. Whomever designed this bottleneck sure didn't have the moviegoer in mind...especially on a crowded Friday or Saturday evening. Everything is squished into a small, narrow space with registers that have inadequate counter area to even set your purchases in order to pay for them. In all my years of movie going (and that's a long, long time), this is the worst arrangement I've ever seen. I don't think Cinemark intended to discourage customers from purchasing popcorn, sodas, candy and such - those items are their profit center, after all - but I suspect others moviegoers may take the approach I do now and avoid the concession area altogether. Maybe I should thank Cinemark for this design flaw. My pocketbook is benefiting from not buying overpriced goodies and my waistline is benefiting, too...or should be anyway! Bottomline, five stars for the actual movie experience and one star for the concession area makes for a three star experience. Since I don't do the concession area anymore, I've bumped up my rating to four stars and hope Cinemark gets the Yelp message that improvements would make the North Hills movie experience a better one. read more

Clean and brand new. The theaters were on the smaller side but comfortable. The selling point for me was discount Tuesday ($5.50/ticket!) and reasonably priced food with a decent variety (including some good beers on tap). If you're looking for an easygoing movie experience with family or a date, this is a good place to go. If you want the big theater, hustle and bustle experience, the Waterfront AMC might suit you better. read more

One of the nicer theaters I've been to around Pittsburgh, with Robinson cinemark as my number 1 this is close I'll give it my own number 2 slot. everything was clean in here, the lobby and the theater. It looked newer, not sure how long it's actually been here but the theater was super nice. They had leather recliners ... WITH SEAT WARMERS... like wuuuuut. I usually get cold as hell in theaters so that's a nice added touch. Also they served alcoholic beverages which was awesome, that was my first time getting an alcoholic beverage at a movie theater. I wasn't sure if they were gonna make me finish it before heading into the theater but they didn't! Which is why I'm giving them 5 stars, highly recommend this theater!! read more
