I have not been to the movies in a long time but I was so excited to see The Mandelorian and Grogu, that I couldn't wait for it to hit streaming. It was easy to buy tickets online and the concessions area was very impressive. The seats were comfortable and the sound was great. The staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Only reason i stayed is bc my toddler would cry if we left. when we left my toddlers cheeks were cherry red bc he was so hot. we drank both of our drinks and were still thirsty. So Cinemark Tinseltown decided to sell Alien Head popcorn dispensers and other merchandise early before the opening of Alien Romulus. They have no merchandise for customers that planned on buying at their theater. I'm pretty sure that employees got first choice to buy them and that's why I see them for sale online for triple the price. Shame on you Tinseltown Cinemark. You will never see me at your theatre. The theatre is in a strip mall so there is a large parking lot with plenty of parking. We went on a Monday and saw a 1:15pm movie which was great since the matinee tickets are only $7.50 plus tax. The theatre is an older one so the seats show some wear and tear however the theater was very well maintained and clean. They have the reclining theatre seats. The concession prices are reasonable for popcorn, pop, etc. read more

It's hard to fairly judge this place because it's literally the only place in town to see movie. If it wasn't, I probably wouldn't go as frequently because their seats are REALLY torn up and worn, they don't project in 4K or have true stereo surround sound and they are often missing promotional items that are advertised by Cinemark. It's a good enough experience, but I highly recommend waiting to see your movies until Tuesdays when they are $5 because otherwise you are overpaying for what the product is. read more

Went to see a movie there yesterday. Haven't been there in about 2yrs. Movie projection and sound were fine. However, wow, does it need some repairs. Plus waited about 15min to order popcorn and drinks because there was only only 1 person manning the concession counter. At least the movie was good. read more

I watched the manager on a Saturday late morning show run down a pregnant woman who just wanted to bring in Is egg that she had shopped for prior to sing her movie. He told her to go put it in his car and she explained she didn't drive. This woman actually asked if he could just put it in the office and hold it for her until after the movie and he refused. Making her throw out something that calms her stomach and makes her not less nauseous. The way he ran up on her yelled at her in the middle of the theater and then made fun of her to the workers standing in the hall, was just disgusting! Ever this young man is he needs to be knocked down a peg. Do yourself a favor and just go to Racine or Gurnee and see a movie. read more

Very grungy. Seats recline and may have been a luxury once but now are chewed up so to speak. Too warm in there. The kids working the regular jobs are nice and friendly so I gave it two stars instead of one. The whole place just feels a bit run down and needs a refresh. I've had the popcorn my last two visits and wish I hadn't. What was once an exciting and cool place to catch a flick has become a shadow of its former glory. I will go out of my way to drive more than double the distance to see a movie from now on. read more

If you're planning on seeing a movie in Tinseltown don't bother bringing extra money for popcorn, there is plenty on the floor...I also wouldn't recommend going too early because you'll see how filthy the seats are. Movie Goers visit TT Theater 3-4 times each month. Theaters are clean and pricing is appropriate. Was there last Saturday watching Captain Marvel. The popcorn was small kernels,got-lots of unpopped kernels. Wis a dairy state and they serve a non butter topping. Yuck! The napkins are non absorbed therefore we bring our own. Nice staff-good options to purchase tickets, super comfy chairs. I will go again, however hoping for better popcorn and use local butter vs the fake topping. I love this place and so do my kids! Our favorite theater!, very safe people are quiet. The who said bad things about it like people having guns, their hands in their pants, noisiness your totally wrong! I would recommend this place to everyone! I drive from Illinois they have great prices on movies . Tues are $5 -6 bucks all day!in Kenosha Wisconsin! On highway 50, Green Bay rd! Comfortable new seating, great food area, game room! Clean bathrooms, just all around awesome! All though it's always comfortable at home to watch movies! Cheaper on food , gas then then going to any theater! Close proximity to the highways... but honestly this could be the only theatre I've been afraid in. Gun carrying security very unfriendly and humorless looking (which i suppose is the point) directly inside where you present tickets. I can see why... the audience in the theater I was in.... well let's just say... unfamiliar or uncaring about what most would consider the social norms usually observed in a theatre...you know, quiet, quiet, quiet, quiet, and quiet. Apparently, here in Kenosha they are moved by the James Joyce approach to life... i think it, so I should do it and say it - you know like you are at home... alone... in your underwear. I'm pretty confident, someone could have been drinking a beer, hand in the their draws', playing candy crush while watching the movie. Numerous cell phones lit up, numerous loud conversations, lots of unsupervised kids running All Over... it was a real joy. What would be considered a benefit, the loungers, only seems to make the behavior worse because it may make people really feel like they are home.... alone! Wait for it ... it's so bad, it would be better to drive to Sturtevant to take in a movie! Sadly I recommend staying home, you can control the environment and won't have to suffer the consequences of a likely police action due to ignorance! Sad experience, sad for me to have rate a one star. I may try again... but likely not worth the aggravation. read more

Nice place, all seats are electric recliners and very nice, place is very clean with video games and very fair on pricing. This is gonna be my go to spot from now on. The Marcus on 20 in Sturtevant is bigger with more food selections and a bar but this one is way better for seating and I'm just a popcorn n soda guy, don't need all the other stuff that only make the tickets higher price. Can't make this up when I say "employees never know what they're doing". I don't work at the movies, but every time I earn something free and present here I have to pay for it because "I have to scan something" when majority of the time it's an email with instructions that tells the customer to show the employee. This place is short staffed, the seats are old and crackled, and the lines for concession is always packed. Great location and easy to get to, just wish the customer service was better. I feel sorry for this place. read more

Just went and saw Logan, the 6:45 show. I have never been the biggest fan of this theater but tonight put me over the edge. I will never go back to that place again. The temperature in there was not regulated AT ALL. From past experience movie theaters are traditionally colder so I always make sure to dress appropriately. Tonight it must have been 80 plus degrees!! Besides being packed to the gills, there must have been 20 kids ranging from newborn to 10. Last I checked this was a rated R movie! It was pretty graphic and not in my opinion kid friendly. Although I liked the movie the atmosphere made it almost unbearable with kids screaming and crying as well as the lack of temperature control. I almost left after the first 20 minutes! Get it together Tinseltown! You have lost an avid movie goer. Buyers beware! read more

Very disappointed in tonight's Fandango Grease sing a long event. Popcorn was stale We had to tell an usher the show hadn't started, ended up missing the trivia and back stage stories on the film. I had to take my nieces & nephew here cause the Gurnee theater wasn't playing peanuts, Really? I should have bought tickets online, cause while we were in the long line of ppl trying to see this movie it sold out, booo! But good thing my nephew & nieces didn't mind seeing another movie, I guess they don't have the patience to wait another hour. We went to the 1st show, cause it was cheapest, $5.75 each, and taking 5 kids with popcorn can add up (I've told you guys before, I'm frugal) I got the giant tub of popcorn, which comes with one free refill, hey! There weren't a lot of ppl in our theater, probably cause they were all seeing peanuts. But I was ok with it. I wouldn't mind returning here, it was alright. I'm always reluctant to see a movie at night, because the teenagers can wreck the experience very quickly. Hats off to the management at Tinseltown!!! We recently were here to see The Vow. In walked about 8 kids ranging in ages from 12 to 16. Before the movie started, the couple sitting in front of us turned around and asked us, "this is The Vow, right??" Yep, it's The Vow. WTF are all these kids doing here?? Anyway... The staff was on these kids like you wouldn't believe!! YES! There was obviously a staff member assigned to watch these kids (ie: give 'em dirty looks and stare them down and yell at them when the kept getting up/down up/down). Watching this unfold was almost more enjoyable than watching the movie itself. A female staff member totally bitched them out when the movie was over. The screen and the sound here is great. However, holy man, they could use to sweep those hallways a bit. The place was a total mess. But I didn't care since they kept those kids in LINE!! read more

I sometimes catch a movie here when I'm up in Lake Geneva. Yea there are closer theaters, but sometimes I'm just up for the drive. It's a good, clean, modern, blando theater, and it's usually filled with tweens, but don't let that stop you. Loads of parking, and the theaters don't feel cramped for a multiplex. Bonus points because I saw the remake to "Dawn of the Dead" here, and that was set just up the road in Milwaukee. Seriously expected it to be Z-Day and that I would have to hide in the mall next door, waiting for my last stand versus the undead. Don't expect anything but mainstream releases, but it's a good place to sit out a hot summer day. read more

I enjoy going to this theatre however a few weeks ago there was a couple of women there drunk. One wasted popcorn as she was leaving the counter and her friend had to catch her as she was trying to stoop down to pick up the wasted popcorn. Turns out they were both drunk. The last thing theaters need are alcoholic beverages. I foresee a lot of unhappy customers as they are given free tickets because a drunk disrupted the movie. read more

Cinemark has had a rough time in the Milwaukee area, and the theater they once had here has closed years ago. However, they still have their Kenosha location, which we visited last week for a viewing of Madagascar. The Cinemark experience is a lot of fun. Their facilities are fun, rather than pretentious (I'm talking about you, Marcus), with fast and efficient ticket clerks who rarely have lines. I can't say that I really care for the ticket booths being in the large glass fishbowl of an entryway, because it's cold out there, but it is definitely fast enough that it isn't a major issue. The concession stand is well-staffed and pretty fast. Cinemarks typically have a smaller concession stand on the "inside" past the ticket ripper, which is a good idea, but this is usually closed. The theater is clean, the restrooms were clean, and everything went well. I appreciate a trouble-free cinema experience, and just wish this place wasn't so far away. read more

I love how they remodeled this theatre. Much needed renovation to enhance the area. However we had to sit in the second row and I had a knot In my neck because of the angle we had to tilt our heads. I think with the first two rows being so close the chairs should be able to recline more then the others. The program they have through the app is smart. My friend uses it! read more

I used to come here when you used to be able to go to the movies on a whim. Now, it seems like you have to plan it out a day in advance to pick out seats online. The last two times I've gone here I had to walk away because the movie theater was booked with only terrible seats left. read more

Ticket prices are standard, very comfortable seats, great sound and picture! The only thing I can dislike about going, and this goes for most large chain movie theaters, food and drink prices are ridiculous. Otherwise this movie theatre is clean, friendly and we love $5 movie Tuesdays! read more

This theater is average. Really the only perk here is the live HD broadcasts of the Met Opera and re-broadcasts of classic movies. Lines are long on Friday and Saturday evenings, so get there early. The counter service can be slow at times. And what genius makes you pay inside at one counter and then have to move to another line to buy popcorn! At least it doesn't happen on the weekend. My suggestion? Go to Gurnee Mills theater, lol. read more
